G.O.P. Presidential “Hopeful” Admits To Potential Politically Damaging Affair…
Okay, look — I’m going to surprise everybody who reads our columns (a huge “thank you” ALL, each and every one of you, by the way) by admitting for the 4,000th time I’m a self-serving, hypocritical, biased political “hack”. Don’t stop reading yet, however — I have a little “somethin’-somethin’” guaranteed to torque EVERYBODY while consecutively tossing a “bone” to EVERYBODY, regardless of their political affiliation. Stay tuned and I’ll be happy to get to the point…
Republican presidential hopeful, Senator John Ensign has admitted he has been playing “hide the sausage” (The Washington Post) with one of his (so-called) “good friends’” (< --- quote) wives after preaching morality and swift justice for the toe-tapping, surfer-dood, -slash- Senator Larry Craig when he was busted by the cops trying to solicit public sex. Gay sex — not that the asterix needs to be attached for any other reason other than the fact he was an “anti-gay” loudmouth before he got busted for trying to make something happen in a public restroom in an airport but then again, we’ve already hammered ole’ Larry for that “indiscretion” and this column’s about something sort of different…
First off — what happens between consenting adults; man, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, or whatever — need not be important to a voting man or woman in these United States of America. Folks who cheat on their mates run some of the most profitable enterprises in the world (for those “unregulated capitalism” folks) and that’s been going on for centuries. The whole “Biblical morality” thing has been exhausted to the point it really means ZILCH anymore — men and women in power have, for centuries, abused their powers to enjoy great sex outside of their marriages and it’s not going to stop anytime soon either. NEWSFLASH: This is the 21st Century and in the previous (to Barack Hussein Obama’s) three presidencies we’ve elected a pot head (Bill Clinton) and a drunk -slash- coke head. This would have never happened three generations ago. “Squeaky clean” and “perfect” — “no blackmarks in his/her past”? Americans are becoming smart enough to equate this type of person with one word — “FREAK-A-ZOID“. Not fit for office. Take off the mask and show us who you REALLY are, please.
We all have a skeleton or two in our closets. If we don’t, we’re not “normal” (I despise that word, by the way — how about “common” instead?). Before we judge Mr. Ensign TOO harshly, shall we ponder a simple question? Here it is: are you any less “moral” or any less acceptable at performing your PERSONAL duties and responsibilities at the law firm, construction yard, retailer, wholesaler, car lot, insurance company, muffer shop or wherever you clock in and clock out at than your elected representatives despite the fact you, unlike THEM [cough, cough] are far from “perfect”? Please think about that one before you read on…
So, here’s the deal — Senator Ensign has just screwed up BIG-TIME. He got caught doing what so many others of us do, including the last G.O.P. presidential hopeful, Señor Juan Sidney “Panama John” McCain of Arizona Panama who dumped his disfigured wife, Carol, for Cindy, shortly after arriving back from his POW service in ‘Nam. Hold up — my apologies for that last reference — most of us wouldn’t be quite THAT immoral but that’s not my point. I’m going to close now, I promise…
Who’ve the Republicans got now to take on “Barry O’Bomber” in 2012? They’ve still got Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and they’ve STILL got Senator Ensign — that is, as long as the latter wishes to hang in there. One of them is a proven cheater and the other has proven herself unable to handle a bad joke (David Letterman) with “presidential grace”. Sounds like a toss-up to MOI (Sung to the tune of “I did a bad bad thing” — must be a True Blood fan like myself?); Alan Colmes of Liberaland digs deeper into the hypocrisy of Senator Ensign’s views on marriage and morality…

You know the Republicans keep losing people to their own hypocrisy. Maybe they should ditch the Family Values theme and take up the “We are just a bunch of old white horny bastards except for a few token minorities” theme.

Well I think he makes a good politician. They are crooked liars who are there for the power and money and greed and avarice. How we even find it in our hearts to be disappointed when something like this emmerges is beyond me.
Perhaps he would make a great president. After all it requires a cesspool mentality to even enter politics.

Never the less….The democrats are rushing thru a health care reform bill that will be passed. It will be flawed…Keep your eye on that folks as the health care you now have is going to go UP in price….all those NO NEW TAXES bullsheet Obama promised….yeah kiss em good bye.
Not only are they rushing it thru but most of them prolly havent read it….and when they do…they will say duh gee…I didnt realize that harry reid gets 10 percent kickback for farting methane in nevada.

Thought provoking post. Thanks to technology, we know a lot more about our leaders nowadays. I visited Charleston, SC not too long ago and read about George Washington’s visit after the Revolution. He made a lot of positive comments about the pretty ladies while he was there…hmmm.
So, do we give guys like Ensign the boot, or not?
What about John Edwards vs John Ensign in 2016. Couple of JOHN’s going at it, heh heh heh.

That is really terrible that a republican senator would have an affair! Shameful! Of course, Ensign did take the high road and resign his leadership position as chairman of the republican policy committee. (And face it, he admitted his indiscretion, and he didn’t commit any abortions while doing it.)
Personally, I think all the poking into the sex lives of those in power is pointless. And useless. A good many of them will be found to have some sort of skeleton in the closet. It doesn’t make them into monsters, or hypocrits. It should be between them, their spouse (if any), and God (*as long as minors are not involved, and all are willing participants).
It doesn’t seem to make any difference to the local Dems that Boxer, when she was a Marin Co. supe got a security guard fired after he found her and someone not her husband “in chambers” at about 3 a.m. JFK and Teddy seem to not have suffered any penalty or embarassment (heck, Teddy even managed to kill off one of his paramours and got away with it). Wilbur Mills DID suffer somewhat from his romps, but as much because he was drunk and cavorting in public as anything else. I’m sure the Honorable Mr. Mills would have been fine if he hadn’t carried on in public.
I’d much rather know how they handle their personal finances, how they treat their dog, and what their neighbors really think of them.
Barak Obama and the Democrats have now given the IMF a 100 billion dollar bailout. We have to borrow the money from China to give the money to the IMF so that IRAN and Venezuela can then borrow the money to fund their anti Democratic activities.
Were paying for that and the story of the day is a Republican had an affair????????
My Las Vegas cousin called this morning and I said something about Ensign and she just laughed and said something to the effect that, hey, this Nevada. He just got caught doing what our politicans are using doing to the public.

BHO wants to tax you. You will be taxed. Not with new taxes. He will simply punish corporations who will then pass on the savings to YOU.
So that bar of soap that was 1 dollar….2 dollars next year. That Big Mac Meal that was 5.99 this year. Yeah 8.59 next year. And guess what…. Your not going to be getting a 75 percent cost of living pay raise.
Printing money to pay for this stuff….yeah inflation which will further erode your earnings power.
Cap and trade? yep we get these huge taxes passed on to the consumer in the form of higher prices.
Get the picture? Nothing in life is free. The democrats and the left think it is. They will now prove that nothing is free by turning this recession into a depression. I once thought that we were seeing nothing more then a severe recession but we are going to recover slightly and then be hit with the enormous tax/cost burden of the Democrats plans and we will collapse.
Literally. Talk about Shock and Awe. Its coming guys and gals. This time next year the unemployment will be at 14 percent and streaking north.
24-30 percent is not unreasonable. This is not paranoia….this is simple economics 101.
