Hours After Barry “Steve” Obama Is Elected, He Shreds Any Anti-Israeli Rumors By Selecting Major “Pro-Jewish” Cabinet Member
First things FIRST, and a huge H/T goes to Andrew Sullivan of The Daily Dish on this one — just when I was hoping the “Israel can do no wrong” crappola would disappear from the White House for no less than four years, President-Elect Barry has gone and appointed an “Israel can do no wrong” (Source: Wikipedia) guy for his Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel.
Do not get me wrong, please — I’m a HUGE fan of Israel but eight years of “Israel can do no wrong” chatter from the Oval Office has placed this country and its Citizens in grave danger and has eroded our once-respectable image throughout the world. Israel, no unlike our own United States, CAN, INDEED be wrong once in awhile and when they are, if only we would have the GUTS to say so, perhaps the rest of the world would respect us a bit more as the TRUE beacon of Freedom and Liberty. Not likely to happen now that Rahm will be holding such a high post in the Obama-”O” Biden Administration. Nobody’s perfect, folks, and Israel is no exception to that COLD, HARD FACT.
Andy Sullivan then leads us on a H/T of his own to his compadre, Marc Sullivan whom also shares some “Speres” space with Andy at The Atlantic, who has a great column of speculation circulating in the rumormill on other probable appointees of “Steve’s” administration — a “must read” as always. It’s entitled “What To Expect From The Obama Transition“. Read it now then please come back — I’ve got a “must watch” YouTube video below of Condi gushing over “Steve’s” landslide victory of Juan Sidney McCain…
Back now? Great; welcome back; now it’s time to see Condoleezza Rice as you’ve most likely never seen her. This H/T goes to Think Progress because that is exactly where I hacked this video from:
It’s kind of nice to know Condi is human after all; a human with warm blood versus icewater coursing through her veins. I do believe my respect for the lady has just risen TENFOLD. In fact, I’m thinking Condi VOTED FOR B. “STEVE” OBAMA…
Am I alone? O-PINE.

OK. Now, where did the name “Steve” come from? lol
Ditto, same question. Virgo and I must have missed the same post.
I agree with you on Condi, she has never seemed more human. Earlier today I watched Colin Powell doing an interview about yesterdays election and at times he cried. It was gut wrenching to watch and to listen to. I don’t think we whites fully realize what Obama’s election has meant to people of color, not only in this country but in other countries.
I went over and read Marc’s piece. It seems that Obama is going to run his presidency as he did his campaign, very carefully. His selection Of Emanuel does not surprise me as he had to answer his critics quickly that he is not anti-Israel.
I also agree with you on Israel. I thought Israel was innocent until I read a history of the region from 1930 on. Israel has much to aswer for, especially their own version of the night of crystal.
I wonder if we will ever have reality based politics.
“Gaia’s Child” it’s like a 500 pound weight on your back being removed that you wake up with it everday which is hard to describe. That’s what one of my African American buds described Obama winning the election. He said, it doesn’t change everything but it sure as heck is a mental relief.
A Mental Paradigm shift for all of us…especially for anyone that has felt oppression based on race, culture or gender…the belief that you CAN actually be anything you want to be in this world without pre-conditions if your willing to go through the fire.
I wish Ms. Rice had run. I could have voted for her no problem. Maybe in ’12.
Hey y’all… just to clear up the Barry “Steve” Obama thing…
STEVE-O
Right there with you on Israel — we need a more even-handed approach to the issues there — but I think the Obama administration will be characterized by a plurality of opinion. That will be the most refreshing thing about it.
Vote for Rice? I could vote in a jury to give her the death penalty for crimes against humanity. Bitch deserves to die! Along with all the other war criminal torturing filth running things now! Hang ‘em all!
RE: Israel, ever heard of the Balfor Agreement? Maybe the Arabs have a point.
Gaia’s Child – speak for yourself, not on behalf of The White People.
People is people and you show your racial bias here.
It also appears you belief your self to be The Most aware White person to be lecturing “white people” how they haven’t really thought through how “black people” think and feel.
Stop your racist chatter and realize you aren’t that important. You don’t speak on behalf of any race. Nor are any entire group of people feel and think the same.
Step two, it may be easier for you, if you address your obvious “White guilt.” You are coming off sounding superior about your race. You really better than anyone, from another race or not.. so stop being so racist.
Girardia, I agree with you.
Very interesting post though. It raises a lot of questions.
The two major parties poise it differently but aren’t they following the same agenda from two slightly different angles. Like two oil companies may be competing but they actually want the same thing and form a shadowy lobbyist group to merge their mutual concerns.
I hardly believe the President is free to really advocate as he truly believes.. or they never would let him/her get there. They are under such fierce and intense pressure from much bigger powers.
Just my two cents.
Sam, I am sorry that you took my comment as racist. I am white but I have enough Native American blood that I have encountered personal prejudice in the past. But that occasional prejudice was just that, occasional and all I had to do was move back home where enough people have Native American backgrounds that nothing is thought of it. I have never had to face a life time of prejudice because of skin color. something that we cannot change. I do know that the bigotry that I did encounter left me at first confused, then emotionally hurt and then angry.
You seem to have read a lot more into my comment than I meant. I simply meant that it is hard to know how another person feels unless you have walked in that person’s shoes. My son could tell you a lot about that because he has more Native American blood than I do and he has faced a lot of prejudice until, like me, he came back home.
But if it makes you feel better that you think I am saying I am superior, that I am a racist and that I was lecturing all whites by my use of two words. “we whites”. then by all means be my guest.
Gaia, I am of the belief that even if you didn’t walk in someone’s shoes before that some people can still grasp the trauma of another. I strongly believe that some have that ability.
Why are some of us moved to tears when we hear the story of another even though we haven’t been there. It does happen. I can feel people very well even though I cannot imagine on the same level their pain. I just have a niche there.
For example, I have never been raped. But rape victims can always get my sympathy and support without effort. I can get very emotional with these people. I feel like it happened to me.
So, Sam. I don’t see any racism here. I honestly don’t feel that Gaia has a white supremacist agenda. I am like Gaia in a similar way. I couldn’t help but rejoice and cry happily with the black people on TV who celebrated the victory of Obama. I felt liberated that evening. I was balling that evening – even though I am white.
If I see one more left-wing illuminati Clinton official, I’m going to lose it. Where is the change.
