The Heat Is On [again] In The Valerie Plame Case — How Long Before President Bush Must Issue A Pardon For Karl Rove’s Treasonous Behavior And Involvement In The “PlameGate” Scandal?
Well, well, WELL — Scott McClellan new book, “What Happened“, raised a bunch of eyebrows over the last couple of weeks and now, the U.S. “Gub’mint” would like to have a “word” with ole’ “Scotty Boy” over his claims of previously unpublicized information regarding “PlameGate” and Karl Rove’s POSSIBLE involvement with the coverup involving the outing of former CIA agent Valerie Plame due to an “unflattering” article written by her husband, Joe Wilson.
According to The Huffington Post’s Sam Stein, the Judiciary Committee offered invitations to both Scotty McClellan and Karl Rove to appear before them and testify “officially”. Scotty-Boy said “Yeah, sounds good to me.” while Karly-Boy said “NOPE! I claim Executive Privilege.” Fine then. Issue a subpoena and if he resists again, issue a warrant for the man’s arrest. Why? Because his “Executive Privilege” crappola doesn’t hold water in the first place. Just because the crime involves a three-letter-agency doesn’t mean he has a right to refuse to testify; “Executive Privilege” is reserved to matters relating directly to a compromise of national security, which can lead to a dangerous (to the American public) breach.
President Richard M. Nixon tried the exact, same tactic during the Watergate scandal and the Supreme Court said “NOPE!” Eventually, the SCOTUS ruled those funny little tapes needed to be introduced into evidence and we all know what happened from there. Very similar circumstances, as anyone who demonstrates critical thinking skills can attest.
This one’s far from over, folks. PlameGate has reared it’s ugly head her gorgeous face yet again…

The Huffington PostMcClellan To Testify Before Judiciary Committee
Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan, whose scathing memoir about his time in the Bush administration sent waves through Washington D.C., has agreed to testify before the House Judiciary Committee, a senior committee official told The Huffington Post.
McClellan’s book “What Happened” detailed the “propaganda campaign” that led up to the Iraq war. His hearing is expected to focus heavily on the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame, an episode that McClellan has said was driven by political motivations from within the Oval Office. …”
(Snip!)
“… I have extended an invitation…after discussions between Committee staff and his attorneys,” wrote Conyers. “In his book, Mr. McClellan suggests that senior White House officials may have obstructed justice and engaged in a cover-up regarding the Valerie Plame leak. This alleged activity could well extend beyond the scope of the offenses for which Scooter Libby has been convicted and deserves further attention.” …
(Snip!)
“… Former Bush strategist Karl Rove has refused to testify, citing executive privilege. …”
First off — “Executive Privilege” isn’t meant to hold criminals in high offices above the law. EVERY “Executive”, or member of the Executive Branch is expected to adhere to every law the rest of us must adhere to. For example, if President Bush were to get busted for another one of his DUI’s, he can’t simply invoke “Executive Privilege” and walk away from his crime without having to do another stint of picking up litter beside the Interstates in an orange vest again. NOPE. He’d have to pay the proverbial “piper” again like he did the last time he was busted for a DWI under those circumstances.
In other words, “Executive Privilege”, while somewhat “gray”, doesn’t give President “Surge” Dubya Bush the right to jump behind the wheel of his hillbilly pickup while drunk again and refuse to show up to his mandatory court appearance simply because he is a member of the Executive Branch. That’s just not the way it works, nor does it allow for a man to commit blatant treason to avoid the proverbial “hangman” TECHNICALLY before his boss, the president, pardons him and let’s him walk away a free man as in the case of their partner in crime, Scooter Libby either.
Personally, I believe both Scotty and (now) FoxNews analist Karly should have been arrested long ago — Karly for his [psst -- "alleged"] acts of TREASON and Scotty for intentionally involving himself in a coverup of MULTIPLE acts of treason by holding out on his “inside info” just long enough for the revelations to result in personal financial gain. There was a day in this nation after all, when men such as these would have already been hung by the neck until dead…
And, today, somehow — some way — they are elevated to the status of “cult heros”. I want my country back, folks. Forget the “invitations”; I say, issue the subpoenas.
