Republican Presidential Candidate Frederick Dalton Thompson (R) Feigns Horror At Long Rap Sheet Of Top Adviser And “Bestest Buddy”

(“Former“) Womanizer, (“former“) pedophile, (“former“) embezzler, (“former“) Hell’s Angel, (“former“) mobster, (“former“) serial killer, and (“former“) Backstreet Boy; top fundraiser and adviser for Fred Thompson, Philip J. Martin, has a rap sheet longer than the Mississippi River — yet — Republican hopeful for President and (of COURSE) Hollywood actor, Frederick Dalton Thompson was “SHOCKED” to be suddenly “surprised” by the dirty laundry of one of his closest friends when The Washington Post placed a “suprise” phone call to the next “Great White Hope” of the G.O.P.

OOPS — my apologies. I just re-read the article and Mr. Martin, it appears, was only convicted of illegal bookmaking and drug trafficking… forget all that other stuff I mentioned in the first paragraph…

Here’s all you really NEED to know about this story to evaluate the integrity of the latest “Hollywood Hero” of the Republican Party; the party who makes a living discrediting Hollywood actors while continously recruiting amongst this elitist group of thesbians out of desparation, year after year, to find anyone amongst them who can lead them to both “God” and “Big Oil” the quickest:

Thompson Defends Fundraiser With Criminal Record
Candidate Says He Wishes Adviser Had Told Him of Old Arrests Earlier

By Matthew Mosk

Frederick Dalton Thompson seems to be exhibiting many of the same characteristics or character flaws as his would-be predecessor...Republican presidential candidate Fred D. Thompson said yesterday that he wishes one of his key fundraisers had told him earlier about past drug trafficking and bookmaking arrests because, even though they occurred more than two decades ago, “nothing is ever over and done with and forgotten about in this business.”

Speaking with reporters after an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Thompson defended his longtime Tennessee friend, Philip J. Martin, saying Martin long ago paid his debt for legal problems in his past. …

(Snip!)

… “I know him to be a good man. I know him to be a man who has rehabilitated himself and has led a productive life,” Thompson, a former senator from Tennessee, said in the interview, which was posted on the Fox News Web site. “He is my friend, and he is going to remain my friend. Now, what I do about it after I talk to him with regard to the future, we will just have to see.” …

(Snip!)

… “I wish I had known about it a little bit earlier. Phil, I am sure, knows that he should have told me about this,” Thompson said. “That he thought [it] was over and done with and forgotten about I am sure. But of course nothing is ever over and done with and forgotten about in this business.” …

(Snip!)

“… he added: “I’m going to have to take a look at it. I’m going to have to talk to Phil and make sure I understand the nature of the situation and figure out what the right thing is. I’m not going to throw my friend under the bus for something he did 25 years ago if he’s okay now. On the other hand, I’m running for president; I’ve got, you know, to do the right thing.”

That’s right, Mr. Thompson — we GET IT. You don’t want to throw your friend “under the bus” but, we know, you’ve got to “do the right thing” because you’re “running for president”, “you know”. PHONY, two-bit BASTARD. Guess what? A LOT of character flaws are being revealed here and I’m not referring to Mr. Martin’s, I’m referring to Mr. Frederick Dalton Thompson’s.

First of all, it’s obvious this man holds the almighty dollar to be sacred; sacred enough to overlook and attempt to hide the fact that his buddy has a checkered past. Mr. Thompson either knew about this all along, or he has HORRIBLE judgement and severely LACKS the presence of mind to research the people he crawls into bed with in his quest for the world’s highest office. It can only be one of the two: either way, he’s definitely NOT qualified to become our President. We need somebody with impeccable integrity AND/or more than half a brain. Frederick Dalton Thompson is lacking one or the other; or possibly BOTH.

Also, I PROMISE you, FDT will be throwing his ole’ buddy under the proverbial “bus” — despite his claims to the contrary. There is no room in the White House for a man who cannot choose his friends wisely OR for a man who would crawl into bed with (former) crooks in order to pad their bank accounts as they aspire to seize power over the People. Additionally, there is no room in the White House for a man who views past felonies as a life sentence. Mr. Martin, his “bestest buddy” and “top adviser/fundraiser” paid his dues to society long ago — ‘ole FDT obviously doesn’t hold the belief that once a debt is paid, it’s PAID IN FULL and you return to society as a completely new man or woman, or he’d have grown a “pair” and stuck up FOR REAL for his fellow felon Republican. These points of view and character flaws should raise the hackles of ANY American who values a President with some foreign policy skills.

I’ll say it right now: should FDT elect to throw his ole’ buddy under the bus, and I’ve no doubt AT ALL he will; I would DEMAND ALL campaign donations are refunded to the folks who gave as a result of Mr. Martin’s efforts. But that’s not going to happen and I think we all know that. Mr. (Dalton) Thompson will FIRE his ole’ buddy and he will keep those funds while citing the ole’ “he should have told me about this” crappola.

Shame on you in advance, Mr. (Dalton) Thompson…

Good thing he wasn’t convicted of taking classified papers and destroying them. Wouldn’t want someone like that serving as a national security advisor to a presidential candidate. Or having another person who had their law license taken for lying under oath helping out, eh?

    LMFAO William!!! Indeed :-)

    from wikipedia:

“Thompson lobbied Congress on behalf of the Tennessee Savings and Loan League to pass the St Germain Depository Institutions Act of 1982, which deregulated the Savings and Loan industry.[17] A large congressional majority and President Ronald Reagan supported the act but it was said to be a factor that led to the savings and loan crisis.”

way to go freddie!!! and good luck with your sadism fetish club ‘the council on foreign relations’. say hi to arch cockroach Dave Rockefeller and the gang for me.

    wikipedia:
“In November 1979, while chairman of the CFR, David Rockefeller became embroiled in an international incident when he and Henry Kissinger, along with John J. McCloy and Rockefeller aides, persuaded President Jimmy Carter through the State Department to admit the Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, into the US for hospital treatment for lymphoma. This action directly precipitated what is known as the Iran hostage crisis and placed Rockefeller under intense media scrutiny (particularly from The New York Times) for the first time in his public life.”

    what?

“For more than a century ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents … to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.”

    more:

“In 2005, CFR task force co-chairman Pastor testified in Congress in front of the Foreign Relations Committee: “The best way to secure the United States today is not at our two borders with Mexico and Canada, but at the borders of North America as a whole.”[39] The CFR task force he headed called for one border around North America, freer travel within it, and cooperation among Canadian, Mexican and American military forces and law enforcement for greater security. It called for full mobility of labor among the three countries within five years, similar to the European Union.”

    “Pastor wrote in Foreign Affairs:

“The U.S., Mexican, and Canadian governments remain zealous defenders of an outdated conception of sovereignty even though their citizens are ready for a new approach. Each nation’s leadership has stressed differences rather than common interests. North America needs leaders who can articulate and pursue a broader vision… Countries are benefited when they changed these [national sovereignty] policies, and evidence suggests that North Americans are ready for a new relationship that renders this old definition of sovereignty obsolete.”"

    Looks like he stepped down.

I think it would be dangerous for either party to start going down this road, regarding convictions among baby boomers, known to be dope smokers, and all the people who did drugs in the 80′s. Might have no one to run for office.

On second thought, maybe that would be a good thing ;)
