Ole’ Arlen’s found himself a “loophole” again: he claims the “Public Footsie Champ of The U.S. Senate“, Larry Craig (R-ID) didn’t REALLY, OFFICIALLY, resign since he stated his intent to resign at a later date (30 September). Senator Specter says this opens up a technicality; the fact that “Mr. Footsie” didn’t actually RESIGN resign; he just said he INTENDS to resign; which mean’s it’s not too late for “Uncle Pervie” (R-ID) to go back to the judge and tell him he was only “kidding” when he pleaded “GUILTY AS CHARGED” in a Minneapolis court to charges of soliciting homosexual encounters in a public restroom where children are often present…

GOP Senator: Craig should withdraw resignation
(CNN) –The ranking Republican member of the Senate Judiciary Committee says Idaho Senator Larry Craig should seek to withdraw his guilty plea, and possibly his resignation from the Senate.
“I’d like to see Larry Craig go back to court, seek to withdraw his guilty plea and fight the case,” Senator Arlen Specter said on ‘Fox News Sunday’. Drawing on his earlier experience as District Attorney of Philadelphia, Specter said, “On the evidence Senator Craig wouldn’t be convicted of anything. And he’s got his life on the line and 27 years in the House and Senate, and I’d like to see him fight the case because I think he could be vindicated.”
Specter also said it was not too late for Craig to change the status of his resignation.
“He said he intends to resign. When you have a statement of intent to resign that intent could change,” he said. “And if he could change the underlying sense of the case, feel of the case.” …
Yawwwwn. Go play “Public Footsies” with your pal, Larry Craig, Mr. Specter. The man was CONVICTED of soliciting LEWD acts in a public restroom where children often frequent; not to mention he plopped his “bidness card” down in front of the arresting officer with that smug, “Do you know who you’re f’king with???” attitude after he was caught red-handed. Stand up for a guy like this and welcome to your newest award: “GTL Jackass Of The Month”, Sir.
