New Poll: Majority Of Americans Say It’s Time To Fire ALL Of The Bums In Congress

Coffee Party and Tea Party Teabaggers gaining in strength numbers momentum putting pressure on two party system of Democrats RepublicansWall Street Journal / NBC News Poll Shows 17% Approval Rating Of Congress; Citizens Ready And Willing To Send Their Own Representatives To The Unemployment Line; Don’t Care Much About Democratic OR Republican Party…

Wow, this new poll conducted by the WSJ and NBC News says a LOT about the Tea Party movement (Ben Smith of The Politico) and its more civil, more Liberal opposition movement known now as the Coffee Party are either symptomatic of, or the catalyst behind the growing number of Citizens who are beginning to wake up to the fact of the matter: there isn’t a dime’s bit of difference between the Democrats OR the Republicans on Capitol Hill these days and they’re “sick up and fed” with them both. AMEN, and count me in as a “Coffeebagger” (source: The Week — I’d rather be called a “Coffeebagger” than a “Teabagger”, but that’s just MOI) who wants REAL “hope” and REAL “change” in Washington, starting with the civil dismantling of our current Two Party System CARTEL.

Last November, I clearly praised the Tea Partiers’, despite their general quirkiness and rude outbursts at the town hall meets around the country, desire to shake up their fellow conservatives on The Hill who’ve been hiding under the banner of the G.O.P. for letting them down in almost every conceivable way. If you’ve read the column I’ve referenced, you’ll have noted I also lamented the absence of a “Liberal”, more “civil” movement against our “do nothing, Big Oil and Nation Buildin’ Bidness” Democrats and offered what I personally believe to be the ONLY solution to taking our Democratic Republic back from the RINO’s and DINO’s who’ve infiltrated and frankly, stole our government from We, The People in a clear coup d’état while we simply watched and groaned about it while keeping these two parties CARTELS in power for decades. Allow me to expand…

As I’ve suggested on more than one occasion, the time for public campaign financing has arrived. The time of an open and HONEST Federal Election Commission (FEC) has come — one cannot call this entity “non-partisan” when it procludes ALL party frontrunners from participating in ALL debates for seats reserved for our federal representatives unless they have a “D” or an “R” behind their names. It’s a blatant LIE and the time has come for the “Teabaggers” and we “Coffeebaggers” to come together for one common cause: OPEN DEBATES AND PUBLIC CAMPAIGN FINANCING FOR ALL FEDERAL CANDIDATES. Allow me to explain how this will work in theory before I wrap this column up…

Just for an example, I’m going to pull a “magic number” out of my derrierre for upcoming presidential elections (less of course for Congressional and Senate seats): $100,000,000 (USD) goes to the top five polling parties’ (yes, that includes independents and third parties) frontrunners. Anybody who accepts private donations and adds them to that million dollars goes to jail, directly to jail and does not collect two-hundred dollars. After all, the candidates demonstrating the best fiscally responsible actions by making the best use of that publicly-funded “pot-o-gold” of which I speak are showing us something worth voting for, are they not? If your name is Sarah Palin, for example, and you blow your million in the first four months on magic markers for making talking point notes on your palm and/or your wardrobe and designer glasses — OOPS. Next step: it’s ILLEGAL for any debate to take place in public and/or on the airwaves without all OTHER frontrunners being present, unless of course, a candidate opts out on their own.

Thanks for allowing me the time to give you the fix for our largest problem facing America today. Now, LET’S GET BUSY.

As I posited yesterday….the Tea baggers might be wingers but they are the only ones getting it right and while I might be a conservative I am not a GOP clone for the status quo.

GWB led the GOP over a cliff. They gladly jumped and look where they are now.

Obama is leading the Democrats over a cliff and it seems they are going to gladly jump.

Wait till we see where they are in November.

The Federal government is unconstitutional and has been since Lincoln declared war on the south and Jeff Davis who said “we only want to be left alone”.

The common man is saying to Washington D.C. today……”we only want to be left alone.” But no you keep passing legislation and regulation and MOUNTAINS of it ………..

      TO MAKE YOURSELVES RELEVANT.

Enough is enough. The people are speaking and the Democrats have put ear plugs in because they do not……….cannot……..will not see the writing on the wall that the INTERNET is bringing to politics.

Another war is coming if the Democrats and the Republicans cannot mend their broken fences, move to the center and moderate their politics.

Let us not hope it is another Jeff Davis telling the Government……….”We just want to be left alone.”

First of all I’d like to say, awesome article! I’ve got a small question nagging me, I really enjoy the layout of your website and tried to install the same layout on my WP site. Stil, there is some kind of strange coding error in the footer. Do you have any tips, what version are you using? Please PM me on Twitter @Spellitloud or via e-mail.

Guns..what is with the fugly new layout? Geez!

Ya know, for ages the right has tried civil discourse in the face of the riots, screaming corporate backed left wing professional disrupters at meetings and press conferences. Now, when some get fed up and get noisy at meetings, they get reviled.

Some of us have been saying since the 90s, at least, to vote every damned capon out of office. And pointing out the contradiction of Congress having approval ratings in the shoe size range, but the individual members basically having life time jobs.

As an aside, did you catch Holder the other day? Basically giving a ‘shoot to kill’ order. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/34525.html

Attorney General Eric Holder told a congressional panel Tuesday that the question of reading Osama bin Laden his Miranda rights is absurd — because he won’t be brought in alive.

“Let’s deal with reality,” Holder said. “You’re talking about a hypothetical that will never occur. The reality is that we will be reading Miranda rights to the corpse of Osama bin Laden. He will never appear in an American courtroom. That’s the reality. … He will be killed by us, or he will be killed by his own people so he’s not captured by us. We know that.”

@Joe Lovell, What? You don’t like the new layout, Joe? I wonder how others feel since yours is the only feedback I’ve received thus far…

        • Joe Lovell

@The GTL™, Yeah, to me it looks blocky and almost cookie cutter. I guess I’m the only one with the chutzpah to come into someone elses house and say “Your decore’ sucks, in my opinion.”

          • F&B

@Joe Lovell, Yeah, maybe, but you’ve got to admit it’s a matter of taste. Someone might like it and someone else might hate it, but there is no absolute right or wrong, both opinions are equally valid and correct.

But since we’re being brutally honest here, I didn’t much care for the last one either, I thought the one before that was much cooler.

            • The GTL™

@F&B, LOL… thanx, bros… consider it a work in progress. Lots of changes coming up in the near future. So just HOPE for CHANGE and we’ll get there ;-)

        • F&B

@The GTL™, Joe clearly has trouble dealing with change. Like the change of your blog layout, or the change in our country from capitalism to socialism.

Say, “how is that hopey-changey thing workin’ out for ya’?”

I have been watching the coffee parties with trepidation and HOPE. Hoping its the mainstream liberals who WANT THEIR PARTY BACK.

      Progressives go home….so to speak.

It is time to get rid of all of the politicians in Washington and the ones at the state level as well. Vote out the incumbents at every election. They get too comfortable and rich and forget very quickly who they are really working for. If they are term limits for the president why are Senators and Representatives exempt. If terms limits does not become a constitutional amendment then it is our job as voters to do it by voting out politicians after one term.

In the 2011 federal budget released last month, the administration projects the National Debt will soar ever upward to over $25 trillion in the year 2020. The total debt will amount to more than 100 percent of the national economy as early as 2012.

CNS News: More than 29 percent (29.2) percent of the nearly 1,200 doctors who responded to the survey said they would quit the profession or retire early if health reform legislation becomes law. If a public option were included in the legislation, as several liberal Senators have indicated they would like, the number would jump to 45.7 percent.

“If President Obama and the Democrats repeat the mistakes of the health insurance mandate on a national level, they will bankrupt this country within four years,” Cahill said. “It is time for the President and the Democratic leadership to go back to the drawing board and come up with a new plan that does not threaten to wipe out the American economy.”

Food for thought for the Tea partiers and the Coffee Partiers.

    • F&B

The ONLY things that will make a reform of our health care system work are things that neither party will accept – Increased regulation of the insurance industry and tort reform. Without BOTH of these, the entire program is “doomed” (No offense intended Doomed!).

The problem with increased regulation is that it will become politicized andf the wrong decisions will be made for the wrong reasons.

The problem with tort reform is that it will become politicized and the wrong decisions will be made for the wrong reasons.

The current “administration” will continue slowly and steadily sucking the very life out of any and all incentives to succeed that exist in this country. It’s getting to the point that being successful, and being the very best there is at what you do isn’t even fun anymore. It’s just a drag knowing that any improvements you make to yourself for your family, and for your children, are going to be taken away by the government. A government that believes I owe as much to the kids of some drug addict as I do to my own kids.

This is also the ONLY way to make America fail.

Rush Limbaugh wanted Obama to fail and the left went nuts on him. The sad news is that Obama wants you to fail. Obama wants America to fail. And left is right there with him.

If you’re successful, Obama wants everything you have, so he can give it to people who drank and smoked pot instead of going to school and working hard.

This is why Rush was right. If Obama succeeds, if he doesn;t fail, then America will fail.

      GTL,

The layout is ok with me.

I do miss the gun barrel though.

For the folks that really think this Health Care bill is about Health care, you’re gonna be in for a shock.

It’s a bailout for the insurance industry.
It will be conduit for transferring taxpayer funds into the pockets of the uber rich, just like George Bush’s TARP Bailout.

People will make a lot of money on it. And someone keeps telling me that there’s nothing wrong with making money. So why aren’t Republicans on board with it like they were on the banker bailouts?

I know it sounds stupid in this day and time, but a real Health Care bill could have some benefits. There are good points to having a healthy population with decent medical care.

      • SJ

        @Weaseldog,

“There are good points to having a healthy population with decent medical care.”

True statement, but does this Health care bill really provide this? Did Medicare, for example, immediately increase life expectancy? Or did technology do that?

Also, you are assuming that people the don’t have health insurance are not healthy right now. Is this true? I wonder how many of the folks without insurance are young healthy people who are just trying to save a few bucks.

And finally, will people with insurance suddenly stop going to the ER? Not sure about that either. Of course, I’m not sure about a lot of things :-) I’m pretty sure though that the CBO estimate is bullcrap. No way this thing brings down cost.

Hey GTL! Nice to see you are still alive and kicking. I’ve been away from the blogosphere for a few years, but now I’m back.

I’ve gone back to the old homestead, otherwise known as Blogger. Still a thoughtful Conservative, though. I’d appreciate it if you would spread the news.

      • The GTL™

@Mark, Excellent, Mark — great to have you back! I’ll go ahead and update my link for you and the best way to help get the word out is for you to visit early and often and join in the conversations, bro… ;-)

Health care is hardly a bailout for the insurance industry for one simple reason.

The ulterior motive behind this health care bill is to drive insurance companies completely out of business.

The GOP is not on board because this health care bill is designed to take over health care and run the industry into the ground.

Its as simple as that. The people in Hawaii tried this and they FAILED….in 7 months they QUIT and went back to the way it was.

In MASS….they tried this and its a miserable failure……they are warning us NOW to stop….or we will bankrupt the entire country…..thats why Scott Brown is the Senator there now.

They tried this with medicare and its 37 trillion IN THE HOLE> They tried this with Medicare and its 19 trillion in the hole. They tried this with medicare prescription drugs and its BANKRUPT.

And the Democrats are asking us to believe this will pay for itself??????

Alinsky…..create a crisis then offer to solve the crisis.

That is health care right now. Yes it needs serious work but what the Democrats are offering is simple. Obama is on record on a dozen videos saying……….this is but the beginning of single payer, universal health care…..

Its why the GOP was locked out of the writing of the bill and its why NANNY PELOSI says well we have to pass the bill before…….BEFORE we can see whats in the bill.

/FAIL. Whats really scary is the progressives actually believe what they are preaching……thats whats scary.

      • F&B

@Doomed, The end game of “Obamacare” is a nationalized single-payer health care system. The current “health care” bill is just a step in that direction. Even if it is successfully rammed down the throats of the American People, it won’t be over. The Obamabots will start working on the next step in their Socialist agenda.

The incentives for American medical professionals and pharmaceuticals will be gone. Innovation in the health care field will quickly become a mere shadow of what it is today.

I agree with Doomed that this will also destroy the medical insurance industry. Of course, that is a key part of the path toward single-payer health care.

While single-payer Nationalized healthcare (socialism) is Obama’s health care endgame, it is not Obama’s endgame. There are many more industries to be nationalized, even the internet itself.

The Obama regime is young, be patient comrades.

        • Doomed

@F&B, “As most health staff knows, leadership and the White House are working with the AMA to rally physicians for a full SGR repeal later this spring. However, both health and communications staff should understand we do not want that policy discussion discussed at this time, lest (it) complicate the last critical push to pass health reform,” according to the memo.

They are lying out their asses. Then they pass memos around to lie out their asses………Progressives are Saul Alinsky radicals……we should expect nothing less then this FOREVER from lying progressives.
