All I have to say is thank GOD there are still Patriots out there like Bob Unruh, Joseph Farah, Philip Berg and apparently, at least a small handful of other fellow Americans who continue to fight “the good fight” — the fight to expose the hugest presidential scam in this young nation’s history. We can only hope these “birther” numbers grow into the millions ASAP, all of them make this march on Washington, followed by a tearful, embarrassed exit by President Obama from the White House and of course, a joint press conference by both the soon-to-be former president and Tiger Woods to APOLOGIZE again and again to America for their “transgressions”.

Many people justify their opinions with the facts and the law, whereas others do not let the facts and the law get in the way of their reasoning. Which one are you?
If you are one of those people out there who thinks that the birthers are nuts, then let’s consider something that is not nuts — which one of the three burdens of proof applies to any candidate for President regarding his Article II eligibility? Is it by a preponderance of evidence? By clear and convincing evidence? How about by beyond a reasonable doubt?
Once you decide which one applies, and you must pick one if your argument is to be credible, you can use it to decide if Obama has met his burden of proof by posting his 2007 Certification of Live Birth on the Internet. You might, however, want to consider this fact before drawing a conclusion — Although Hawaii calls the posted 2007 Certification of Live Birth an “official” birth certificate, it is nothing more than a digital copy of a scant summary of a 1961 vital record that derives from one of the six birth records procedures in place at the time of Obama’s birth, five of which arguably lacked adequate indicia of reliability and trustworthiness because they were fraught with the potential for fraud. You can read the actual Hawaii Revised Laws in effect in 1961 at http://birther.com (look for the red links).
Does anyone really know which one of these procedures was used to generate a 1961 birth record for Barack? Barack won’t tell. Was it the one with a doctor’s signature and hospital documentation, or was it from one of the other five, one of which allowed a family member to mail in a form attesting to an at-home birth and receive a Hawaiian BC? Consider this hypo — state A issues a birth certificate to a person who supplies a hand-written note that claims baby B was born somewhere on so and so date. No independent witnesses are required. Later, the state issues an “official” scant summary of the “original” birth certificate.” The issue is, do you trust that kind of a summary?
Apparently, all three branches of the government, as well as the media and the Left, do. To date, not one single solitary person in the three branches of government, or anyone else for that matter, has bothered to look at Obama’s 1961 vital record. They have instead just chosen to accept his posted 2007 Certification of Live Birth, a scant summary of that 1961 vital record, as conclusive evidence of his alleged birthplace simply because it reads -”Born in Hawaii.” It reminds me of someone who tells another, “Because I say so.”
What other evidence is the because-I-say-so kind that they are saying proves Obama’s natural born citizen status? How about that 1961 Hawaii newspaper birth announcement? For those who dare to scrutinize it, the Left claims that the birthers believe that the announcement was planted so Obama could run for president 47 years later. This is their way of discrediting them. Let’s be honest here. Nobody on either side of the fence really believes that scenario. It is nothing but a ridiculous distraction from an alternative, plausible motive — the announcement could have been placed so Ann Dunham would have had documented evidence for immigration purposes should Barack’s birthplace ever be called into question by the INS when he was younger. Even if you are not willing to accept this scenario, in 1961 a family member could mail in a form attesting to an at-home birth and receive a Hawaiian BC. The state registrar would then send that information to the papers. So the Hawaii newspaper announcement is not reliable or trustworthy evidence either.
So there you have it, Obama’s evidence – a 2007 scant summary (Certification of Live Birth) of an unreliable and untrustworthy 1961 record, and an old newspaper announcement generated from that same unreliable and untrustworthy 1961 record. Has Obama satisfied his burden of proof? You decide.

If not, then it follows that you could not possibly offer up a sound opinion about the reliability and trustworthiness of the original 1961 vital record that formed the basis for the scant summary called the Certification of Live Birth. Even if you want to discount these laws entirely, then bottom line is that the only evidence Obama used in an attempt to prove that he has met the NBC requirement of Article II is a digital copy of a scant summary of a old birth record. I say, I am not saying that the state of Hawaii is lying. I do not doubt that the posted Certification of Live Birth is a scant summary printout of Obama’s original 1961 vital record, and not an exact copy. What I am arguing in my http://birther.com post is that Obama has not satisfied his burden of proof that he has met Article II’s eligibility requirement to be president with a document that derives from procedures that lack adequate indicia of trustworthiness and reliability.
Now for your information, many birthers are indeed attempting to prove that Obama’s online COLB summarizes a fraudulently generated document, however, Obama has locked down all evidence that would lead to this information. Now why would he do that?

Unlike your hypo, Obama has not lost his original BC. Even if he had, he could still obtain an exact copy of his original BC because it is still on file at the DOH in Hawaii. Instead of getting one, he has chosen to offer up only a scant summary (Certification of Live Birth) of his 1961 vital record. That summary document does not satisfy even a minimum burden of proof because it is not known which one of the six 1961 vital records procedures generated it, the one with the doctor’s signature and supporting hospital documentation, or the other ones that are fraught with the potential for fraud.

Another play on this scenario could be to just let it go for now, then when Republicans are back in power in 2013, the issue could be forced and the original B/C could be examined.
If it turns out that Obama is not a natural-born U.S. citizen then that fact could be used to overturn all the Socialist legislation that Obama and his minions are forcing down the throats of the American People.

@forseti, Forseti, dude, give it up. I have had my doubts about Obama’s eligibility too, mainly when he went to Pakistan as an Indonesian citizen while enrolled at Harvard, but it doesn’t matter. The SCOTUS made their ruling (albeit unofficially) that the American People vetted Obama by electing him. So no one is going to examine the matter any further, and the court said it would not overturn a Presidential election under these circumstances. Case closed.
The main thing Obama is, citizen or not, is a Liar.
After that, his next best quality is his utter incompetence and inability to lead this country.
His citizenship would be one of the smaller issues he has lied about since being elected, or even to get elected in the first place.
Everyone is better off spending their energy trying to get more republicans elected than trying to damage Obama with the citizenship issue. If we can get enough republicans elected this fall, we may be able to prevent the democrats from destroying our country before its too late.

806 gigatones of co2 enter the atmosphere annually. 26 gigatones of that is man made co2 from burning fossil fuels.
C02 has risen from 280 to 387 PPM in 150 years……or since man started essentially manufacturing stuff. Thats and Ill be generous…….ONE PPM of CO2 rise in co2 per year.
26 gigatones of man made co2 is .0365 percent of the total amount of co2 entering the atmosphere annually.
If we do some elementary math we can see that this amount of co2 has caused the PPM of co2 to rise roughly 1 ppm per year. Right now science can prove that there are 39 molecules of co2 out of every 100,000 molecules. It will take 5 years to change that to 40 molecules based upon the current levels of co2 entering the atmosphere.
So what does that mean. It means that the AGW crowd wants you to believe that by cutting our CO2 emmissions by 25-40 percent we can end the threat. Which means essentially they want us to change the percent of co2 entering the air by roughly 1 percent.
Folks the 25-40 percent is bait and switch. It is only 1 percent of the co2 entering the atmosphere annually……NOT 40 PERCENT.
1 percent change will mean that in 100 years we will essentially….again doing simple math….reduce the total PPM of co2 in the atmosphere at the end of 2110 by 6PPM’s. So by reductions in C02 from buring fossil fuels we will have changed the CO2 content in the earths atmosphere from most like 420ppm to 414ppm by 2110.
But in the meantime the rich nations of the earth in this same time frame using punative carbon taxation will have transferred 31 trillion dollars of their wealth to Bangledesh, Somalia, India, China etc…etc…etc….along with millions of jobs.
If someone wants to be angry and point to a conspiracy……try the AGW bandwagon.
@Doomed, There are ways to reduce atmospheric CO2 other than just reducing CO2 emissions. As you pointed out, reducing emissions is actually a poor approach and will have little to no effect in a short (100-200 years) time frame. Even while the West reduces emissions, the East will be increasing emissions rapidly.
The West will have more impact on atmospheric CO2 if resources are spent finding ways to efficiently sequester CO2 rather than just trying to minimize the production of it.
Even then, we have to assume that man-made atmospheric CO2 is THE cause of global warming – a fact which is more and more in doubt every day. Methane gas is much worse than CO2. Water vapor also acts as a “greenhouse gas”.
Finding new technologically sound ways of sequestering CO2 will allow people much greater control over the balance of CO2 in the atmosphere. And rather than forcing the West to cut back production, it will allow us, even encourage us to increase our productivity through ingenuity – i.e. the American Way.
