I actually went to a couple Tea Parties. Most of the people that I talked to where either Libertarian or Republican but surprisingly many were democrats as well.

I remember the two marches I went too I think I saw one or two really ugly signs out of 1000′s. Of course guess which sign ended up on TV?

I think I heard a couple ugly words shouted. A few racial slurs. I even heard people boo the person for shouting that. Guess what was reported on TV.

I saw a couple guys carrying guns. Guess what. They were unloaded. Guess what we saw on tv.

I saw some people drop trash. I saw others pick it up. Guess what we saw on tv.

In other words. If teabagging is wrong. Then I wonder what the war protests were considered?

    Oh…of course….patriotic. Silly me.

@Doomed, Nothing to add here, well said Doomed, well said!

@Doomed, Remember this is nothing but Alinskization of the right. In this case they use the Tea Party protesters to demean, belittle as a means to deflect the debate away from their losing policies of Cap and Tax, Health Care and Immigration reform.

What about some “cool” terms and talking points for the “Obamabaggers”….

    1. Fairness – as in “spread the wealth around”
    2. Choice and Competition – as in govt choice requiring 0 competiion
    3. Past policy – as in Bush is to blame for all we face
    4. Dont jump to conclusions – as in terrorism
    5. Teabaggers – as in Americans that have had enough of big govt.

Well, this is rather disappointing, that you would go in for the derogatory word, GTL, for people who were simply expressing their constitutional right to protest peaceably for redress of grievance over what the federal government is doing to this country.

  • Joe Lovell

I think if the moderates and conservatives are going to start using the very effective tactics of the left, they need to use the whole play book.

1.) No large demonstration is complete without at least one car-g-que. Gotta remember to torch those cars.

2.) You can’t be taken seriously if you comply with the cops. As soon as a cop asks you to do something, take a swing at him. Then, when the cop reacts to protect himself, you start yelling brutality and protesting that your civil rights are being violated.

3.) You have to take some keepsakes with you. Don’t forget just as law enforcement moves in to break out the windows of the nearest store and grab what you can as a memento of your celebration of your First Amendment rights.

4.) You pay good taxes – just toss your signs, leaflets, water bottles on the ground for the municipality to clean up. You should get some value for your money. Besides, you drove 200 miles in your SUV to get in on this environmental protest, doesn’t matter if you trash the place, does it?

@Joe Lovell, Yea Joe, and when we start stealing flat screen TVs from stores and they let the hoses go off on us, we can start our own, “civil rights movement”…

      • Joe Lovell

@CLD, You bet! How can we be happy unless we have that flat screen? One of the unalienable rights.

Incidently I just found out that NPR radio website is featuring this on their website.

    http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=120344047

You have got to be kidding me. Words cant even describe this to a Tea party protester who used his constitutional rights to protest our federal governments continual power grab and irrational spending habits only to be called names, mocked and my message minimized as trivial, insignificant but even worse….Racist.

THERE IS NO LIBERAL BIAS IN THE MEDIA….yepp…yepp

How silly of us on the right to think that tax funded NPR radio would actually be unbiased.

  • Doomed

I demand that federal tax dollars be pulled from the NPR TODAY!!
