“2010 – The End Of Days”
Every organized religion contains a prediction about the fall of man, the return of the Lord, or judgment day for us all. The evil ones will be cast off into hell while the chosen will be saved, depending on which team you play for and the rule book you follow. The “rapture” could include sitting at the throne of God or spending eternity in bed with a plethora of virgins. Regardless, it’s universal in scope and dictates the lives of millions on the planet.
Certainly anyone plugged into our modern media has heard of the Mayan calendar and the theory that 2012 is the “end of days” for mankind. Even the mainstream media has jumped on the bandwagon fanning the flames of doom and gloom (ABC News). Gee, I thought it was only our fragile economy, health care system, and climate that was in “crisis”, now you’re telling me its life as we know it!
To hell with “creating jobs” or limiting our carbon footprints, let’s get focused here Mr. President, you must save the world!!! I’m shocked that Raum Emanuel or David Axelrod hasn’t already suggested that Obama fire up the teleprompter and declare to the masses that he has solved the apocalypse crisis of 2012. Maybe he’ll come across an idea while playing golf in Hawaii (Chicago Tribune) as America awaits the next federal program designed to spread the misery around.
I’m no Nostradamus, but if I were to prophesize the future of just the United States, I would say we are doomed. Just look at the signs. Unemployment is at 10% and climbing, our great health care system soon to resemble your local D.M.V., while Washington spends us into oblivion. Small business, the engine of our once great economy (Dr. Jeff Cornwall), remains stunned into submission by the uncertainty of the future and threat of further regulation and taxation without representation.
There are unqualified “czars” in power, many with communist and socialist ties, while Chicago style politics pays off Senators to vote for “reform”. It has recently been reported that a convicted felon (Official Tea Party site) contributed to the content of the Democrats’ “Health Scare” bill. Of course, nothing from the state run media on this bombshell, as they’re still obsessed with the Balloon Boy…
You know, the more I look at what our country has become and what our “leaders” are forcing upon us, I have my own prediction. 2012 is not the imminent danger that threatens our way of life. It’s the Obama administration, his Congress, his policies, and his intent. His clan of socialists may want us dependent on big brother in D.C., but the majority of Americans lead conservative lives (CNS News).
If this is truly the country I believe it to be, regardless of the drones that don’t know Pelosi from Peter Pan, I believe the end of days are upon us. Not 2012, but in the elections of 2010, as the false prophet is exposed and those deceived by promises of hope, change, and good speeches finally wake up… — This Sunday Column was penned by the one and only CLD

Heck, Chris, it isn’t just the tzars that are unqualified, most of the cabinet posts are filled with unqualified people. Janet having the chuttzpa to say “the system worked”???? What the hell does she think the job of Abteilung der Heimatschutz is? To sweep up the pieces and issue a report after something happens? Or does she think that incompetent bombers and unarmed honest citizens are part of ‘the system?’ Actually, I think the honest citizen IS the first line of defense, and in almost all cases it is the honest citizen who is the first responder, not the cops, military, or any other govt. agent.
But, hey, she has no experience in that field. Just as almost all the cabinet members, tzars, and the CiC have no experience in anything they are doing. Well, some do seem to have experience in covering up malfeasance – look at the goings on of Rove Emanuel in the Fanny/Freddie mess. “On Emanuel’s watch, the board was told by executives of a plan to use accounting tricks to mislead shareholders about outsize profits the government-chartered firm was then reaping from risky investments. The goal was to push earnings onto the books in future years, ensuring that Freddie Mac would appear profitable on paper for years to come and helping maximize annual bonuses for company brass.”

When the hard left firedoglake can join with Americans for Tax Reform on something you KNOW it must be bad.
I hope you are right brother, I hope you are right. It was hard to not shake the morose feelings in the week leading up to Christmas, watching tyranny unfold. Not across an ocean, but right in the chambers of the Senate. How any reasonable American can think the proceedings of this past week are in any way tolerable is completely lost on me.

Well guess who will be president in December, 2012? Yep you got it….One Barak Obama.
Boy are we toast.
On Wednesday for no apparent reason, President Obama issued an executive order removing the Reagan limitations. That is, Interpol’s property and assets are no longer subject to search and confiscation, and its archives are now considered inviolable. This international police force (whose U.S. headquarters is in the Justice Department in Washington) will be unrestrained by the U.S. Constitution and American law while it operates in the United States and affects both Americans and American interests outside the United States.
What on earth for?
When the paths on the road map converge – Iraq withdrawal, Guantánamo closure, perceived American image improved internationally, and an empowered INTERPOL in the United States – it is probable that President Barack Obama will once again make America a signatory to the International Criminal Court. It will be a move that surrenders American sovereignty to an international body who’s INTERPOL enforcement arm has already been elevated above the Constitution and American domestic law enforcement.

@Doomed, Many say it clears the way to have George W. Bush and Dick Cheney tried in a world court for war crimes with Interpol able to literally arrest GWB at his home in Texas and take him to the Hague.
I wonder whose next. I can think of 1000′s of Americans that the Hague would love to try for war crimes.
