The GTL’s NFL Picks — Week 16, 2009

December 24th, 2009 · 13 Comments · Sports

ATTENTION NFL FANS: These are PREVIOUS picks — go HERE to view the latest “expert” predictions for The GTL’s NFL Picks…

Previous Week (Week 15): (8-8)
Year To Date: 145-78
All-Time (2006 Through 2008 Combined Record): 335-195-1

The GTL uses his expert super-secret formula to pick the NFL Week Sixteen 2009 straight-up winners...Okay, it’s Week Sixteen and normally I would go on a rampage about my crappiest week of picks to date; 8-8 — a.k.a., .500 for last week — Week 15. 8-8? Really??? Oh well, pobody’s nerfect and for what it’s worth, even the so-called “experts” did pretty horribly, too.

We could talk about Brett Favre’s “coachability” problems in Minnesota, we could talk about whether or not Peyton Manning’s Colts will be giving 100% on the field at all times in an attempt to finish this NFL season undefeated or we could talk about the weather. On the other hand, I believe I’d rather just keep this one short and sweet: MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!

Folks, enjoy this weekend of love, joy and togetherness and yep — FOOTBALL and God Bless you and yours this Christmas weekend. Enjoy the Christmas day matchup between the surging Bolts of San Diego and the Mighty Titans of Tennessee and be safe and sound.

Merry Christmas GTL…I think the Titans might just stun the Bolts (kinda like the jags stunned #18 Florida in bball the other night!). Wish our Saints had lost a meaningless game earlier in the season, to take the heat off a meaningless “undefeated season”…

Watch out for Philly and the Giants, late season surge. Hope everyone has a chance to RELAX, regardless of the endeavor, as this has been an action packed year, you know, with all that “hope and change” we are all experiencing…

Should be some great football to end, and begin this year of “transperancy”…especially the college BCS national championship game….Roll Tide Roll…U.A.T…….

@CLD, I agree with your NFL observations but I cannot share your enthusiasm for the hyphenated directional commuter school widely known as the University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa Crimson Tide over Texas… MOOOOOO!!!! — go ‘Horns (Eat Mör Chikken — pachyderm tastes a lot like chicken they say) and GO (South Alabama) JAGS!!! ;-)

Do you know who am I?
    Here is a hot news
The Colts continue to surprise everyone and keep playing their stars. Players such as Peyton Manning, Dwight Freeney, and Reggie Wayne continue to suit up for the Colts. The Colts have accomplished everything set out so far but it still remains a question if going perfect is one of those items.
This week will be interesting to see what happens with the Jets. The Jets are fighting for their playoff lives and also have the best defense in football. Is that something that Peyton Manning needs to see right now? It’s a hard question to answer but all I know is that this is still the #1 team in football.
Merry Christmas! And have a good time!

    Merry Christmas, Everyone.

Guns, can’t fault any of your picks. A few coin tosses in there that could go either way.
The Colts, I think, are playing their first line for upmanship. Be nice to end the season 16/0.

Hope everyone’s Christmas was filled with family, friends and good spirits!

Peyton is a great asset to the Indy community. He is charitable, likeable, and given us much to cheer about. No one should make as much money as he does by playing football and doing commercials, but at least the filthy lucre goes to a good guy. noe namaste
