  Ah, perpetual motion revisited.

  Yeah, AGW is real science, just like perpetual motion.

  The internet is on fire this morning with confirmation computers at one of the world’s leading climate research centres were hacked, and the information released on the internet.
  A 62 megabyte zip file, containing around 160 megabytes of emails, pdfs and other documents, has been confirmed as genuine by the head of the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit, Dr Phil Jones.

  In an exclusive interview with Investigate magazine’s TGIF Edition, Jones confirms his organization has been hacked, and the data flying all over the internet appears to have come from his organisation.
  “It was a hacker. We were aware of this about three or four days ago that someone had hacked into our system and taken and copied loads of data files and emails.”

  One of the most damning e-mails published comes from Dr. Jones himself. In an e-mail from almost exactly ten years ago, Jones appears to discuss a method of overlaying data of temperature declines with repetitive, false data of higher temperatures:

I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd [sic] from1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline. Mike’s series got the annual land and marine values while the other two got April-Sept for NH land N of 20N. The latter two are real for 1999, while the estimate for 1999 for NH combined is +0.44C wrt 61-90. The Global estimate for 1999 with data through Oct is +0.35C cf. 0.57 for 1998.

  Jones told Investigate that he couldn’t remember the context of “hide the decline,” and that the process was a way to fill data gaps rather than mislead. But when scientists talk about “tricks” in the context of hiding data, it certainly seems suspicious.

  Andrew Bolt points to a couple of other suspicious entries in the database as well for the Herald-Sun. For instance, here we have scientists discussing how to delete inconvenient data in order to emphasize other data that supports their conclusions:

  Here are some speculations on correcting SSTs to partly explain the 1940s warming blip. If you look at the attached plot you will see that theland also shows the 1940s blip (as I’m sure you know).
  So, if we could reduce the ocean blip by, say, 0.15 degC, then this would be significant for the global mean – but we’d still have to explain the land blip. I’ve chosen 0.15 here deliberately. This still leaves an ocean blip, and i think one needs to have some form of ocean blip to explain the land blip (via either some common forcing, or ocean forcing land, or vice versa, or all of these). When you look at other blips, the land blips are 1.5 to 2 times (roughly) the ocean blips—higher sensitivity plus thermal inertia effects. My 0.15 adjustment leaves things consistent with this, so you can see where I am coming from.
  Removing ENSO does not affect this.
  It would be good to remove at least part of the 1940s blip, but we are still left with “why the blip”.
  Let me go further. If you look at NH vs SH and the aerosol effect (qualitatively or with MAGICC) then with a reduced ocean blip we get continuous warming in the SH, and a cooling in the NH—just as one would expect with mainly NH aerosols.
  The other interesting thing is (as Foukal et al. note – from MAGICC) that the 1910-40 warming cannot be solar. The Sun can get at most 10% of this with Wang et al solar, less with Foukal solar. So this may well be NADW, as Sarah and I noted in 1987 (and also Schlesinger later). A reduced SST blip in the 1940s makes the 1910-40 warming larger than the SH (which it currently is not)—but not really enough.
  So … why was the SH so cold around 1910? Another SST problem? (SH/NH data also attached.)
  This stuff is in a report I am writing for EPRI, so I’d appreciate any comments you (and Ben) might have.

  re: cooked numbers for AGW – no matter how much fraud can be shown, the Profit AlGore and his apostle Mikey will still rake in millions, um, more likely billions, from the gulliblity of the sheeple.

  I did read her latest. It seemed rather scattered, seemingly assembled hodge-podge and with trouble focusing thoughts into words.

  I was proud to have my name in lights, seems she really took offense to our half-black President being called half-white.

  Notably omitted from her most recent post were responses from Peter Sumaruck. Shocking.

  I do not think we’ll see much more of them out in the web world. They will stick to her blog, comments-disabled.

  BTW: Looks like Peter Sumaruck may be heading to Court. The rumor mill has it that he’s been served with a summons. Guess his Lorazepam isn’t working for him, as I hear he’s so paranoid now he runs from his own shadow. Oh, excuse me, he ALREADY ran from his own shadow.

  But seriously, I think Peter Sumaruck belives everyone is now out to get him, has him under surveillance, and are probably peeking in his windows. Next thing you know, he’ll be getting messages from God through his invention, and he’ll redeem the world (all but us “naysayers” anyway).

  Did you also notice that anyone who disagrees with Charlotte Wilson and Peter Sumaruck now are automatically “White supremacists?”

  White Supremacists/The Race Card is so 2005. No one falls for that crap anymore. Everyone, of all races, has been called racist so much the insult doesn’t even sting that much anymore. Its been done to death, lol.

  It doesn’t matter what the insult is, it will not make Pete a SEAL/SEAL-trained combat contractor. It will not make his free energy machine reputable and it will not make Charlotte Wilson an author.

  We’ve seen the last of them, except she’ll copy/paste from blogs like this one and try to spin some conspiracy theory out of it.

  Anyone chasing the leads Charlotte leaves as dog droppings will realize Pete is as FU’d as his brother and mother. Pete’s problems are the result of one bottle or another. Guns won’t save him from himself. “Free energy” won’t save his soul. The IRS doesn’t give a damn how much he “gives away.”

  I think he does exist, in his own mind at least. He’s definitely twisted enough to believe his own lies, and make other weak minded people (Charlotte/Laura) believe them as well. I think that in their cases its mutual schizophrenia.

  Peter Sumaruck is a sniveling coward who seeks to create his own self-importance through lies and pitiful attempts at intimidation. He’s a small man, physically, psychologically, and mentally. He sees his fantasy world crashing down around him, and has no clue how to face reality.

  Fortunately, reality is closing in on him VERY quickly. He thinks that everyone is out to get him when in reality, he has caused his own downfall.

  @52Gunner, it has occurred to me that Laura/Charlotte may be the ‘brains’ behind this scam and Pete may only be a doped-up dupe who came up with a bogus “free energy” machine but didn’t have any real plans for what to do next. She’s pushing the marketing, she’s pushing the “I wrote a book about this heroic man”, she’s running the no-comments-accepted blog where he was first identified as a SEAL, then she changed it to “Se.A.L.”, then she changed it to “SEAL-trained” combat contractor, then changed it… well you get the idea. All her changes are “explained” and all are worthless. She’s the one pushing the conspiracy theories. She’s the one pushing all the buttons, posting all the BS about Pete’s wonderful machine, and making all the bizarre accusations… while Pete’s mainly concerned with sitting in his tin-sided RV in Waco, popping pills, drinking beer, and posting obscene rants filled with poorly spelled expletives.

  The two of them are obviously hoping to score a sale or two on a corporate level, or to some hugely wealthy investor, and would likely immediately drop from sight with the cash if that were to happen. Pete would be fairly easy to find due to his peculiar personality and habits, but Laura/Charlotte appears marginally more intelligent and might elude initial pursuit. Eventually, though, I have no doubt they would both be brought to justice.

  Like I said… it appears as though SHE may be the one heading up the scam and using Pete as a prop.

  This old AF guy finds it really interesting that Petey doesnt claim to be Navy, yet has no qualms about calling out retired Naval folk about how they arent Navy. WTH?
  Hey Pete, why done you name the SEALS who gave you the hat pin and asked you to wear it because you were such a bad ass covert operative…the must be retired by now. Or maybe hae them get ahold of Steve R. and he can vet them. Or reveal them as being phonies just like you…

  I speculate that this time Laura is simply watching this comment section and assembling data for her next blog post. Something along the lines of: “We said nothing, and look, these people continued to blah blah blah against the omnipotent one Saint Peter the Great of Waco.” “We are right, they are wrong” “Pete will save the world, they are just racists and vigilantes, and so on and so forth.”

  I have spent the last couple of hours pouring over blogs, e-mails, website links, court records… Pete and Laura are both are freakin’ crazy, paranoid, and delusional.

  The cool thing is…I am about to become another agent of the vast corporate/military conspiracy to discredit them and keep the “flux capacitor” from being introduced to the world.

  Holy schnikeys, I wish there was a way to organize this whole thing into a screen play and get a movie deal. One of those “Men Who Stare At Goats” type movies.
