Glenn Beck’s Enemy Within?
It’s a lazy Sunday here in L.A. (“Lower Alabama”) and yeah, I know all the talk today is about the House’s passing of their healthcare reform bill (The New York Times — H/T to MemeOrandum for The Pull) but just remember, it’s up to the Senate to pass it next so it’s best to pause for a bit before anybody prematurely pops those ObamaCare champaign corks. Of course, being the optimist I am (at least today, that is), perhaps by the time the Senate tweaks this thing a bit, we might actually have a new law worthy of true celebration? Only time will tell.
Meanwhile, since I’m not sweating it for the time being, I thought I’d share a great video of Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart imitating Glenn Beck — good for a smile if not a belly laugh (the latter in my case).

If something like this had happened under Pres. Bush, and it was found that “a close presidential advisor” had been the guy on the trigger, it would have been front page, 144 point type the next day. And can you imagine the cries for impeachment?
I’m NOT trying to belittle what happened at Ft. Hood. I’m just contrasting how I believe the media treated Pres. Bush with how it treats the former junior senator from IL.
(now to scamper off and find something else to tarnish the ACORN workers image … Damn, this is fun. Now I know why the hardcore dems did so much of it – no work, no accountability. The Mikey Moore ethic – if I can think of it, it must be true)

Mr. Obama, during his private pep talk to Democrats, recognized Mr. Owens election and then posed a question to the other lawmakers. According to Representative Earl Blumenauer of Oregon, who supports the health care bill, the president asked, “Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care? All it will do is confuse and dispirit” Democratic voters “and it will encourage the extremists.”

As I expected a while back (long lost comment), the abortion issue came up and the Blue Dogs finally did something. Looks like the abortion-loving liberal wing of the Dem party actually listened to them and did not overreach in this area(for once). How much this will help the Democrats in general and how much it will help the Blue Dogs in 2010 remains to be seen.

I’m just waiting for Obama’s “space alien announcement”. Last I heard the Obama “administration” is going to wait until after the health care bill passes so the “space alien” thing doesn’t derail Obamacare. Then he’ll use the space alien thing to justify his one-world government and UN agendas.
