I doubt even very many Republican shills will present a descent argument against the FACT Sir Lieberman I is a power-hungry, OCD-infected wacko who, like his equally-all-of-the-above counterpart, Senator Arlen Specter, will jump on ANY opportunity to make the headlines.
He’s (“King Joe“) done it again; this time by taking an anti-American (in my not-so-humble opinion) stance (The Politico) against poor, hungry American Children’s right to have a doctor who knows about their health histories; a doctor who helps to keep these children from contracting infectuous diseases they take to our emergency rooms around our nation and spread to others who are only there to have their broken arms placed in a cast. Good job, “Jumpin’ Joe”. Such an admirable position you’ve taken on the healthcare issue — NOT. Particularly when the vast, VAST number of Americans in support of such common sense measures are in favor of providing preventative healthcare to our starving and poor children according to the latest and most reliable polls. Bad idea, Sir.
“Let ‘em all perish and let God sort ‘em out”, is the attitude here. “Let Darwin’s theory of survival of the fittest RULE” (Click — you’ll learn something), is the mantra. One can only hope and pray Connecticut voters will remember this hop-headed jackass the next time he is up for reelection as a so-called “Independent” but I fear this is yet another one of my “Wish in one hand, defecate in the other and see which one fills up the fastest” moments.
Sincerely, I (again, refer to my last statement/prediction) hope this move shall send King Joseph and his likeminded dweebs in the Senate back to the private sector in the upcoming elections. He and THEY deserve nothing more for putting their fellow Americans in danger of contracting preventable (in their early stages) diseases due to their propensity to place “Politics” and a quest for “Power” over the well-being of their fellow countrymen and women…
Shame on ALL of you who share their points of view. Just THINK about it for a few moments and I’m sure you’ll find yourself in complete agreement with MOI — but FIRST, one must take off those rose colored glasses and THINK. It’s not easy but it IS enlightening. Please, just TRY it for the sake of our country and America’s children.

Joe, like all of these guys, wants to keep his seat, so keep that in mind with this comment.
In Joe’s defense, various forms of the Public Option plan have been tried (Maine, Tenn, Mass, and NY I think) in several forms and has not worked (as far as I know), so Joe saw an open lane to the basket and is going for a dunk here.
If the media would have done its job and showed (in an unbiased format) how well these public options work, the polls would drop.
The public option WILL NOT close the insurance gap. The moderate GOP Senators from Main know this, and that’s why they joined jumping Joe.
I still stand amazed at the left who said GWB was ruining our childrens future by running 400 billion dollar deficits and now the DEMOCRATS are running 1 tillion dollar deficits and want to add another 200 billion a year to those already staggering beyond belief deficits.
But what was even more spectacular was the admission on Fox news tonight by a Democratic congressman who is running for the Senate in NJ to admit that all these RADICALS that Obama is nominating are not radicals………..lololololol………this is classic….
they are not radicals……..they ARE PROGRESSIVES.

While couched in terms such as social justice, equality, and egalitarianism, the tread of ‘progressives’ seems to be very statist, urging more and more control by the government of every aspect of individual and business life. And progressing from capitalism to socailism to communism.
@Joe Lovell, Even more disturbing is the AGW crowd and the agenda that they are championing.
There are about, and Im guessing here, 10-15 percent of the AGW crowd in the USA that really understand what the true end result of their cause is really all about. The other 80-85 percent of Americans who are on the AGW bandwagon just see the Obvious and think…yes that is bad and we need to fix it.
The agenda for the 80-85 percent who are on the AGW bandwagon is Global warming is bad, it could devestate the planet and if we can do something to fix it and save the planet then Im all for it.
The radical AGW progressives have a far different agenda that is much more dangerous to America and the entire western industrial world. Led by the UN this agenda is very complex but it boils down to two agendas combined into one.
Remember Alinsky says….convince them you are moderate….do anything to get elected…to gain the position of power. Destroy the system from the inside out….Do not beat on the walls of industry but destroy its foundations from within.
Enter Barak Obama and the progressive(RADICAL)platform of radical economics and radical change. Yes they promise to change but its not the change 85 percent of Americans voted for.
So what is this agenda that they have going on. It quite simply is squelching world poverty thru the redistribution of wealth. The AGW crowd led by the UN is championing Cap and TRADE type legislation among industrialized nations which will transfer wealth and jobs and manufacturing and distribution to poor nations in an effort to start these POOR impoverished nations on the road to development.
There is no doubt that developing nations have a stable society in which birth rates lower and the nation thrives. Nations that are poor and impoverished have higher then the norm birth rates and these nations tend to suffer from their own exhaustive burdens.
So with one fell swoop….the Alinskization of the Global warming problem….the UN as embraced by progressives are hoping to kill 2 birds with one crisis. The redistribution of wealth to these poor countries and the stabilization of these poor countries birth rates.
As I said earlier 15 percent of the AGW crowd understand what the real agenda is. The other 85 percent havent a clue on what they have signed off on. It is classic Alinsky and its desgined to destroy America.
Led by Barak Obama and his radical appointments of progressives whose agenda is not the same thing as the typical American who voted for him.
So if you oppose this plan, that means you want poor, hungry American children to go without medical care? Now that is a leap of logic wider than the Grand Canyon. A typical ruse of those who do not want to debate the efficacy and merits of the plan.
Instead of explaining the benefits and logic of your position, you impugn the character and motives of the opposition. Unfortunately, it seems to be the main debating tool in politics. A typical exchange would go something like this.
Statement: I am against this plan because it costs too much and has not worked in states where it has been tried.
Answer: You want people to die.

It is really unbelievable that the democrats are still backing a “public option”. Obamaco screwed up the Swine Flu vaccine production and distribution, and now they are giving away 10% of the vaccine, after they FAILED to make enough of even for just the American Citizens who need it.
The Obama “administration” has just been one long string of Failures, one right after the other, and the dem’s still trust them with the health and well being of their children and grandchildren? Wake up and smell the coffee dem’s, Obamacare will be as much of a disaster as the H1N1 Vaccine Debacle, if not even worse.
You can design a poll or manipulate statistics to show pretty much anything you want. so I give very little credence to a statement like “x% of the people want y”.
Second, just because most people want something does not make it the right thing to do.

@Gunboat, Good point, what is even more frustrating is robbing Peter to pay Paul and Paul isn’t owed anything! Paul needs to get a job. Where are all the green jobs offering health insurance to make the so called uninsured “crisis” a non-issue? A gazillion dollars in stimulus job creation and not the slightest dent in the uninsured numbers. Just two or three more gazillion dollars and we’ll have paradise!

Remember that when American Corporations start moving over seas because of the elimination of any corporate incentives and we still have trillion dollar deficits. Remember that when they say they cannot afford health care anymore and that Somalia doesnt require us to pay for health care.
Remember that and thank the UN and AGW agenda when our unemployment reaches 15 percent and jobs are flooding out of America to the Under deveolped nations of the world and now we have 2 trillion dollar deficits.
Remember that when the Chinese finally say NO MORE MONEY…when they are the new economic superpower and America is a crumbled heap of economic Chaos.
Remember that when you dont have a job, cant pay your bills and are living in the poverty that the UN wants America to suffer…..Remember what it was like because the end is in sight.
America has always persevered in the past but then we didnt have a Radical element running our nation whose active agenda was the dismantling of the economy for the benefit of the poor in other nations before either.
We always had an America first president…this time we have a congress thats flat fuking lost its mind….and knows that they have one shot at this…..and they have lowered their heads, put their blinders on and are full steam ahead and the repercussions be damned.
