What Happened To The So-Called “Liberal MSM” And Why Did They Turn On President Obama And Vice-A-Versa?
How anybody can look anybody else directly in the eye and accuse the Mainstream Media, largely owned by far-right wing, multinational corporate conglomerates, and say “They’re left-wing!” is beyond me. They SOLD us the war in Iraq. They SOLD us the war in Afghanistan. Now they’ve taken to SELLING a war against Iran to We, The People and it just doesn’t stop. The list goes on and on and on and on and we’re just talking about examples within this Earth’s last decade. THIS “Press” isn’t the “Press” of our Founders — it is the “Press” our Founders would have insisted be hung by the neck until dead — one-by-one until the disease was completely eradicated. This “Press” would be considered an “enemy from within” by our Founders. The REAL “Press” our Founders gave up mostly everything they had at their disposal to defend in our Constitution is the “Press” of The Gun Toting Liberal™ blog. Michelle Malkin. Drudge Retort. Andrew Sullivan and the rest of us who are the “Town Criers” of OUR generation. Biased “watchdogs” of our government and its leaders, ALL of us. I promise you this is a true statement.
“Media credentials”? SCREW you and your “media credentials”. Not only I, but my co-bloggers and commentators who comment on our columns are THE “Media” of our Founding Fathers and to me, a card with my picture on it being required before I’m allowed to stick it to ANY politician — Democrat or Republican or whomever — would signal the need for a (peaceful?) revolution from our Founding Fathers.
Go ahead and tell me how the “Left-Wing Neoconservative MSM” got President Barack Hussein Obama elected and I’ll tell you the irrefutable FACT — these same bastards are the ones who perpetuate Neocon ideals, are owned by Neocon entities and engage, hand-in-hand together, in the DUMBING DOWN of America in order to perpetuate our Oligarchy… our Military Industrial Complex based economy. And my hat’s off to the Obama Administration for having the gonies to take ‘em on, even though President Obama has thus far shown himself to be just another Neocon anyway (Google Search).

I don’t know, man after watching the events of 08 unfold, your gonna have to have more than this to convince me and a lot of other people that the MSM has gone or ever has been “neo-con”. When every lead anchor and most of the reporting staff on NBC,ABC,CBS,CNN and MSNBC are avowed liberals, and unapologetic supporters of the president and his policies. you have a tough road to go down if you want to make this argument fly. I mean holy cow were you watching the coverage during the election? 5 news programs with folks with varying degrees of tingling in their legs when the president speaks. I appreciate your ability to look past the surface of a topic and see things that are not what others may see, but here i think you are missing what is right in front of your face.

They are just going with the numbers and polls. People are staring to see behind the smoke and mirrors of the former junior senators administration, seeing that the glare of his smile was hiding that he is a hollow shell.
MSM hasn’t changed its stripes, but they ARE businessmen, and out to make a buck. They see the popularity of those eeeee-vvviiiillll racists at Fox and are filled with envy. So the SOCIALIST tending MSM is actually starting to question (turn on) its annointed one.

admittedly, besides CNN, I haven’t watched anything besides local news on the other channels since the election, So if they moderating their
left tainted approach to journalism. I wouldn’t have noticed. NBC has always been long gone and I quit on ABC and CBS after watching them during the elections, even so I would find it difficult to believe they have slipped very far from far left,

@vegofish, of course, it could just be an attempt at damage control too. People were starting to seriously question just how much support the MSM gave to the junior senator from IL during the campaign, how hard it worked to cover up his flaws and make him seem like more that he is. Face it, the MSM turned it into a campaign between The One and Pres. Bush (who was not running) or between The One and Palin, who the MSM instantly vilified.

@SJ, consider also that the nominations for the NPP were closed sometime in early February. Well before he had a chance to do anything but redecorate the WH.

Even the Huffington Post has reported on the seemingly hypocritical silence of the anti-war movement. After all, Obama’s actions in Afghanistan have pretty much guaranteed that the war there will continue for years on end. Not even the most optimistic observers see that war ending under Obama’s first term.
My contention was always that the democrats latched on to the antiwar movement to gain back power using Alinsky tactics…..
The Obama campaign leveraged wide-spread opposition to the Bush Administration’s war in Iraq en route to the Presidency. …..The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are going poorly with an all-time high of 57% of Americans opposed. Voters in the President’s own party are said to oppose the war by 75%.
Wheres the outrage now Democrats? Why are you not passing resolutions on Iraq and Afghanistan? Why are you not protesting in the streets?
Why is the press not reporting every car bomb and death in Iraq and Afghanistan? Where is the body counts that appeared daily on the MSM media when Bush was president?
Your Hypocrisy knows no bounds democrats…no bounds….Fox news makes no bones that they are right of center and friends of the Republicans. The rest of the MSM tries continually to convince the American public they are neutral and have no agenda. Right Keith Olberman has no agenda. Chris Mathews who was Jimmy Carter’s speech writer has no agenda. George Stephanopolis who was Clintons White House director has no agenda.

@cld, CLD what I’ve noticed is he has no arguments that are not steeped in Conservatives are evil and I hate them. If I had that attitude about mother Teresea I could make her look like Hitler too.
Ignore him. Post your thoughts and move on. Keep focused on your message and keep the heat on Harry Reid and company for trying to trample our liberties by passing a health care reform bill that is going to do one of two things.
1. Have a public option which will turn into single payer in 10 years.
2. Not have a public option which will tax the crap outta insurance and force the people to demand single payer…that will take 15 years.
Either way the democrats want single payer and it will literally bankrupt America in the process.
Remember Obama is a Radical. His speeches are full of Wade Radke and Saul Alinsky quotes. Everything about him is radical and he has actually encouraged the Democrats to run fricken amuck in congress this year.
Keep focused on the message. As for me I have broken out my checkbook and am funding many conservatives and telling them to use Obama tactics…..pretend to be moderate….wink, wink…say youll vote for gay rights….wink, wink.
