Mahmoud Ahmadinejad revealed to have Jewish past
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s vitriolic attacks on the Jewish world hide an astonishing secret, evidence uncovered by The Daily Telegraph shows.
A photograph of the Iranian president holding up his identity card during elections in March 2008 clearly shows his family has Jewish roots.
A close-up of the document reveals he was previously known as Sabourjian – a Jewish name meaning cloth weaver.
The short note scrawled on the card suggests his family changed its name to Ahmadinejad when they converted to embrace Islam after his birth.
The Sabourjians traditionally hail from Aradan, Mr Ahmadinejad’s birthplace, and the name derives from “weaver of the Sabour”, the name for the Jewish Tallit shawl in Persia. The name is even on the list of reserved names for Iranian Jews compiled by Iran’s Ministry of the Interior.
Experts last night suggested Mr Ahmadinejad’s track record for hate-filled attacks on Jews could be an overcompensation to hide his past. …”

@GM, I’m no fan of Michael Savage, in fact I pretty much bash him any chance I get. That being said, he doesn’t spew hate like you claim. The guy is too self absorbed pushing his personal agenda to get people to send him money to spend much time spewing hate towards others.

I don’t know if this “news” about Iran’s President having Jewish background is a spoof, but I think it’s unfair or inaccurate to say that he “hates” Jews.
If anything, his country has the second largest Jewish population after Israel, a fact that many ignore when they go into their Anti Iran/Ahmadinajad rants. He does have a problem with the Israeli leadership.
Without going into details, this does not automatically translate into “anti” Semitic as large number of Jews don’t agree with Tel Aviv’s policies either.
Still this article is interesting to ponder.
