Where’s The Black Caucus When You Need ‘Em? Dollar Bill Gets The Gavel Slammed By “Racist” Judge And Jury For Filling Freezer Full Of Bribe Money…
I know, I know — I’m a member of that rare breed called “The Politically Incorrect Liberal Left” and it’s probably a bit shocking to run across one of us when you do. Guilty as charged; not just MOI (and again — yep, part French — unapologetic and unwilling to surrender my Non-PC’ness anytime soon), but good ole’ Dollar Bill himself (New Orleans Times-Picayune) after dodging the hangman for years and years on an obvious open-and-shut corruption case. Heck, if you recall, his constituents even came dangerously close to reelecting him to the House of Representatives even after it was obvious the man was guilty as SIN. Now, good ole’ Dollar Bill has been elected by a jury of his peers for a yet-to-be-determined vacation at The Crossbar Hotel.
Look, I’ve got to tell you something right now — the Black Caucus needs to keep their collective “mouth” shut over this. Furthermore, if President Barack Hussein Obama EVER pardons this man, I’ll not only regret my vote for him (even more than I’m beginning to at the date of this writing, that is), I’ll do anything and everything I can to ensure something like that never, ever happens again.
The color of one’s skin might still be something some of the elder Baby Boomers might be concerned with but this is Generation X speaking to you live from L.A. (Lower Alabama) and I’m here to tell you skin color means just about nothing to both Generations X & Y, even down here in the Heart Of Dixie. In other words, I swear to God, I’ll be torqued off I hear President Obama say “The Judge And The Jury Acted Stupidly” like he did during “GatesGate”, I’ll SCREAM.
Off to jail with you, DOLLAR BILL, and may you be Blessed to share a cell with a bisexual-curious man by the name of “Bubbah”.

Other bloggers weigh in from across the political spectrum: The Wonkette (Left) is even more politically incorrect and snarky than I; Michelle Malkin (Right) fears this might put Dollar Bill in line for a new czar appointment

It actually would have been nice if Barak Obama turned out to be the guy he pretended to be while he was campaigning. I was actually hoping he would be the moderate, centrist.(I have no illusions of him being anywhere right of center) but at least somewhere spotable by moderates instead of the extremely far left…….outta sight liberal that hes turned out to be.
The left has an agenda that is unaffordable.
The right has an agenda that is unsustainable.
Somewhere in the middle is the solution. I guess as I grow old I wont see it. Perhaps one day. One day.

Glad to see the freezer junkie, one dollar Bill finally get what he deserves. Hope it scares a few of our not-so-honest but not-yet-caught so called public servants into flying right for a while.
I agree with Doomed. Electing someone actually from the middle would be nice and it might be possible if the two parties keep on splitting the way they are. Watching Bill Clinton in action again, I couldn’t help thinking that he would have been our 43rd President if it wasn’t for Presidental team limits. Say what you will about the man, he does have presence.
I’m not going to give up on Obama yet. After all I didn’t completely give up on Bush until it was totally clear that there were no WMD’a in Irag, nor where there any Al Queda training camps; I didn’t give up completely until he did more signing statements than any other president and not until Halburtin (sp) got all those no-bid contracts and Cheney stood there with that shit eating look on his face, “what are you going to do about it?”. Than I gave up.
Disappointed in Obama, yes, discouraged, yes but still hopeful. But then I’m an old time socialist, liberal, commie pinko.

P. S. I’m not yet eating babies though I may be forced to if that socialist BHO takes MY MEDICARE and turns it into a government run program. But then the man in black may come to my home first and tell me that it’s my time to die then I won’t have to fret about being hungry.
Gotta go, I hear wings beating outside my window.

OH, slick Willy even puts Willy Brown to shame. And Willy Brown, former CA legislator, former mayor of SF. etc., is one of the best at working the crowd. He KNOWS people at and instinctual level, can feel what they are thinking.
1:01 am on August 6th, 2009 5
Agree with you. Never knew Wille Brown but read about him.
Did you see the look on Kim’s face. Like a little kid who has scored a great coup. And what he doesn’t realize is that after shaking hands with slick Willy he should be counting his fingers.

@Gaia’s Child, who says, “I’m not yet eating babies though I may be forced to if that socialist BHO takes MY MEDICARE and turns it into a government run program.”
You’re kidding, right? Do you people even bother to check out the talking points you’ve been fed? Medicare IS a government run program. If you get Medicare, you are getting government-run healthcare. Government-run healthcare, in fact, represents about half of all healthcare spending in the country. Christ, I can’t believe my eyes sometimes on this site.
3:29 am on August 6th, 2009 7
@GTL: Great post. Completely agree. Although politically incorrect liberals are much more common than you think. Careful with the stereotypes, my friend!
4:02 am on August 6th, 2009 8
Bad Dog, Yes I was kidding though that isn’t the right word. There are actually people out there on Medicare who don’t realize it’s a government run program. The latest stat that I’ve seen on government run health care in this country was that not quite 30% of our citizens are getting government run health care…..that’s about 90 million people and none of us have been hauled off to die without treatment yet. Now that I’m on Medicare I have far more freedom on what doctors I see and what hospitals I go to than I did with my private insurer. There I was on a PPO and while techinally I could go anywhere I wanted I’d better have the money up front first.
It’s just that I’m tired to trying to answer the right’s straw men with sensible answers. I guess you need a cup of coffee. Please reread the last line of my first post; I really am an oldtime liberal with a liberitarian bent when it comes to my personal life or for yours too for that matter. But for the last fifty years I’ve been hearing that the world is going to end if: women get equal pay, if the civil rights acts are passed, if the voting rights acts are passed, if women get any job they want and if they get to go to any college they want, etc, etc. etc.
And I really am happy that the freezer junkie William is finally getting his. I just wish that we could put every crooked congress person in the same prison.
Sorry I upset you so bad.
4:27 am on August 6th, 2009 9
@Gaia: LOL, no worries, we’re on the same page. It’s just that I’m seeing that talking point over and over. Art Laffer was just on CNN saying this very thing and making a total ass of himself in the process, but of course confusing just enough dopes. Either these people are 1) extremely stupid, or 2) they’re intentionally lying to protect insurance industry profits. The answer is both. The crazy BS right wingers spout is enough to turn your hair white. I don’t know how you made it to retirement with your sanity.
12:54 pm on August 6th, 2009 10
Yes and what is the government fixing to do to medicare? They just cut payments by 10 percent. Great.
My mother was on medicare. She had a heart attack. The family doctor was treating her. I asked him why isnt she seeing a heart specialist?
Reply?
Medicare wont pay for it. She spent 18 months, weak, feeble and on oxygen. Get sick again. Goes back into the hospital. This time they call in a heart specialist who changes around all her medicine. AFter a week she is now strong, vibrant and WITHOUT oxygen.
This time medicare paid for the specialist. IN the meantime Medicare picked up a 400 dollar a month tab for 18 months for an oxygen machine that she would NEVER have needed had a heart specialist been called in to start with.
Medicare might be Government run….But guess what liberals….THATS THE POINT!!

@Doomed: Wow, this is rich. NOW you care about Medicare. Remember the big standoff that shut down the government in 1995, complete with Newt Gingrich pouting? It was over slashing Medicare, which would have led to rationing.
Nice try, but your free market “principles” and concern for your mother’s government benefits are at direct odds, and your Party would like nothing better than to cut her benefit–in fact, eliminate them.
Guess you’ve been voting for the wrong Party all these years. How does that feel?

Just curious… Gaia, Baddog, other lefties and righties… has anyone read the proposed health care bill?
<a href="http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h3200/text" Health Care Proposal HR 3200
There are some things that sound great (on paper). There are other things that indicate a health care czar or commissioner will have way too much control over the program including private insurance rates. Specifications for diversity among health care professionals including race, ethnic, and gender — rather than seeking just the best people for the job of being your doctor, whoever it is that ‘hires’ doctors will have to make sure race, ethnicity, and gender are part of the hiring process. Think about the firefighters who faced Sotomayor’s ethnically biased ruling. Some of the stuff in there really is scary. My kids and grandkids will have to face this system someday IF IT PASSES.
Liberal, conservative, it doesn’t matter – We The People need to stand up and fight against this now.
2:51 pm on August 6th, 2009 14
Okay, I’m on Medicare and it pays for my cardiologist, no problem. Maybe, Doomed, your mother needs a new family doctor.
I took care of both of my parents until they died, about seven years all together. Needless to say they were on Medicare. My Mother had cancer, my Dad had several problems, including heart. Never once did Medicare refuse topay a specialist that their family doctor recommended, not once. And they both died within the last three years. At times, in fact, Medicare paid for treatments and doctors that I wondered if they were really necesarry.
Doomed, once a year your Mother gets a booklet from Medicare explaining the benefits and maybe you should read it. What the doctor said about not paying a specialist just does not make any sense to me. I was my parents autorized medical representive so I handled their medical bills and their insurance so I do know what I am talking about. At one point Medicare was paying for four different specialists for my Mother. I read their Medicare booklets and their private health insurance policies and knew what their rights were. I did not depend on someone else’s interpretation. I also dealt with the VA for my Dad. He was a World War II veteran.
I want to say this loudly and clearly; I LOVE the VA. I got far more help from them than I did any private doctor or hospital. One nurse was assigned my Dad’s case and I dealt with him on everything. Yes, the VA has problems but it does the best it can with the money it’s allotted.
Remember it’s the veterans who always seem to get cut first.
FandB, I’m not going to worry about the health care bill until there is actually a health care bill to worry about. There are still two more committees to go in the House to release their version of health care reform and the Senate is writing it’s own bill so at the end of the August recess there will four different versions of health care reform. This will all have to be hammered out. Once it is, then I will worry about what is in the final bill.
Something else I will be clear about: Medicare needs to be cut. There is enough doctor and hospital fraud on Medicare billing that if that was stopped it would be the ten per cent cut right there.
Doomed, I just reread your post about your Mother and it really upsets me. Did you ever ask her family doctor why Medicare wouldn’t pay for a specialist? Did you ever ask her family doctor if he had recommended a specialist? Did your Mother have anyone running interference for her? One thing I found out taking care of my parents is that old people need someone that isn’t afraid to ask questions. Both of my parents thought doctors were gods which is why my Mother made me their health representive. Like she said I would argue with God and ask for 2 throws out 3.

“Something else I will be clear about: Medicare needs to be cut. There is enough doctor and hospital fraud on Medicare billing that if that was stopped it would be the ten per cent cut right there.”
How about coming down hard on the frauds and cheats rather than cutting it? Like, revoke their license to practice and fine them 10X the amount they obtained by fraud. AND some prison time. Or, maybe, let them keep the license, but they work in a prison for a few years at minimum wage.
4:24 pm on August 6th, 2009 19
Not only is Gaia wise, her kid is pretty smart too. Why just look at this:
“FandB, I’m not going to worry about the health care bill until there is actually a health care bill to worry about”.
Good point, although our elected representatives are supposed to be out in the hinterlands asking for input. We would be remiss not to provide that input, which we may only base on the proposals currently available.
“Something else I will be clear about: Medicare needs to be cut. There is enough doctor and hospital fraud on Medicare billing that if that was stopped it would be the ten per cent cut right there.”
Excellent point. How about we start there, call it Health care reform and see how that works out. If we as a nation could muster the political will to do that, I suspect that there might be hope for further health care reform. Considering the players involved in said effort…well, you’ll have to call Mike in to give you the odds of success, but I’m thinking they’re fairly slim.

And here’s another episode of FandB vs. FandB:
FandB in 13:
“Think about the firefighters who faced Sotomayor’s ethnically biased ruling. Some of the stuff in there really is scary. My kids and grandkids will have to face this system someday IF IT PASSES. Liberal, conservative, it doesn’t matter – We The People need to stand up and fight against this now.”
FandB in 16:
“I’ll ignore the hyperbole. I just want people to understand what is in this bill.”
6:13 pm on August 6th, 2009 25
When comparing #13 to #15 I have to admit that #15 wins the battle of hyperbole hands down
Don’t you?
7:37 pm on August 6th, 2009 26
Yes, we need to input. And the lies need to stop. It would be nice if health care reform could be discussed rationaly but it didn’t happen in 94 and it’s not happening now.
The small business owners have a hell of a stake in health care reform. Where is their input? And why do we even expect our businesses to provide health care for their employees? How do we control fraud and abuse? How can private insurance be made more competitive? I agree there should be tort reform but how can it be done so that patients who really have received terrible care still keep their rights?
What single system payer in the world works the best? Since other countries have both single payer and private health insurance could we adapt such a system for our own country?
Why do most ads that are against health care reform seemed aimed mainly at senior citizens? Why don’t people who are against certain things in the proposed bill suggest a good alternative?
If we do keep the status quo what are we going to do in a few years when medical care reaches 20% of our GNP and Medicare is broke? Medical care now takes up 16% of our GNP. If health care isn’t a right then why are hospital ER’s legally forced to treat anyone that comes in the door?
About 90,000,000 of us are now on government health care. If it’s so bad then why are the senior citizens so afraid they are going to lose their medicare? Hell, from all the terrible things I’ve read about government care seniors should be happy to back on private health insurance.

As for this website I guess Ill be moving on. Good luck to ya…Ill check back in a month or two and see if Bad Dog has burnt himself out yet. Its very unpleasurable for a libertarian to hang out with far left liberals.

@Doomed, who says, “GTL you have an internet thug on your hands. I actually havent seen one of these in a long time because I stop going to websites that they are allowed to post in.”
I thought he was going to confess to being a thug–turn himself in, so to speak. After all, this is the guy with the overly inflated sense of his own manhood who wrote to me:
“Listening to you talk is music to my ears. If people actually read what you write….well they will most certainly send you over to help the wimmin folk wash the clothes while the real men gather around the campfire, eat the pig and tell war stories while drinking beer. You can go over to the wimmin folk and grumble about new and more inventive ways to get more beer and eat more of OUR pig.”
But it turns out the macho tough guy who eats pigs, drinks beer blah blah yawn isn’t as tough as he portrayed himself. Turns out his feelings are easily hurt by mean liberals. Now we’re both sad:
;(
,
,
,
,
And instead of simply leaving because he’s unhappy–or simply ignoring my posts, which is easily to do, as it’s just a blog, after all–he has to make a production out of it with the site owner:
“As for this website I guess Ill be moving on. Good luck to ya…Ill check back in a month or two and see if Bad Dog has burnt himself out yet. Its very unpleasurable for a libertarian to hang out with far left liberals. The two just dont go hand in hand. Liberal yes….far left no. Laters and peace…Ill go find another website where internet thugs are removed. Peace.”
Looks like at this site, the thugs remove themselves as soon as somebody turns up the heat. This is going to make a great war story around the next ultraleft campfire.
On a serious note, you’ll be missed, Doomed. If you change your mind, welcome back. Let me be clear: I’m not here to make friends; if you show no respect, expect no respect. But I would welcome you back in a serious debate. Anytime.
9:56 pm on August 6th, 2009 31
@Gaia: Thank you for a very thoughtful post. Very rational. But the healthcare debate has gone beyond this type of debate. There are those who are trying to solve the problem and those who want government to not do anything, regardless of the problem or the quality of the solution, as their ideology dictates that whatever government does not do, the private sector does flawlessly–even with ample evidence to the contrary. When one side wants to solve a problem and the other side’s sole mission is to prevent the solution, the debate can easily become twisted by tangents like breathless viral emailed lies about euthanasia and Medicare rationing. This is all intentional and follows a playbook; the people funding the screamers at the town hall debates and the teabagging movement know what they are doing and they are good at what they do. Once you see the “debate” in these terms, the tactics become clear. In my opinion, the best approach is to have a rational debate among people who actually care about a solution while meeting those trying to squash it on their own terms: Fire, meet fire.
10:20 pm on August 6th, 2009 32
GTL…I agree with Doomed…One bad apple is spoiling the whole bunch…time to get back to healthy debate, and cage the “Bad Dog”…ugh…had enough….

Nawwww… B/D just needs to attack the message and not the messenger (Please, B/D?). He makes fantastic arguments and ads to the blog.
@Bad Dog — you SHOULD try to make some friends here. Even the “righties” are pretty cool and hate to spar on a personal basis and will be quick to pat you on the back if you make them think by making a great argument for them to consider. I love these guys and gals and I love reading your responses and contributions when they’re made respectfully and absent of anger directed toward any particular co-blogger of ours. Please keep up the great arguments but realize most of these guys and gals we oppose are fun to drink with and argue good-naturedly (I know, I’ve downed more than a few with more than one of them)
@Doomed — If you must leave then do what you must but like M/D, I’d love to see you stick around. BTW — I’m a libertarian-leaning Liberal but note which descriptive term I capitalize. That’s no mistake on my part, brother
10:40 pm on August 6th, 2009 34
GTL…good point, I will clank mugs with ANY liberal, as you well know, as long as both sides are considered, and personal attacks restrained. Secondly, as Doomed expresses, this is supposed to be a “round table” discussion. No one should dominate the conversation, and just look at the comments for this one post…Bad Dog = 12….thats like you drinking 12 Coors lights to my 2 Miller High lifes….seems he should understand “fairness”, based on his far left leanings, and desire to “spread the beer around”….You have a great crew here, and I hate to see one of the boys (or girls) abandon ship because of incessant chatter from one party….liberal or conservative.
10:45 pm on August 6th, 2009 35
I dunno, CLD — the number of posts is irrelevant — the content is KING to me anyway. And minus the raised personal hackles, B/D adds some FANTASTIC content in the blogs contained within any given thread, in my not-so-humble-opinion.
Also, I perceive the majority of his so-called “personal attacks” to be tongue-in-cheek than not. Of course, a smiley face can remove all doubt when that is the case, too
Frankly, I’m elated to have a fellow Lib commenting on here and I’m hoping NOBODY jumps ship anytime soon

I was glad to see Bad Dog show up because I often feel out-numbered.
And, oddly enough, I agreed with Doomed just as much as I disagreed with him. Once he finally said why he felt Doomed, I understood where he is coming from. Gonna miss him.
Also, sometimes the only way I can control my anger and follow the rules of the road is to disappear for awhile. As I mentioned in an earlier post I’ve heard some of these far right arguements for fifty years. But that’s my problem and I solve it by taking a break. It would be nice to hear new talking points but I know, new generation and all.
You don’t hurt my feelings, Bad Dog. At midnight last night I just figured you were having problems reading.
11:18 pm on August 6th, 2009 38
Guns, I kind of agree with Doomed, though be damned if I will let anyone drive me away from this dive. Cheap beer, hot music, hot women, gotta love it. (and of course, tapping toes under the table with you)
You might kick me out, but until then, you are stuck with me.
To me, MD has become irrelevent. Stopped reading his stuff a few days ago. Too much personal hatered expressed too often. I see post after post and shake my head and think “just more hate, vitriol, and bile mixed with a few HuffPo talking points.” So it is kind of like flipping through all the junk mail during campaign season. Gotta go past it and give it a quick glance to make sure it really is junk mail, but stop at the recylce bin before it gets to the house.

@All Whiny Right Wingers: Once again, grow up. I had to rush to my computer tonight to see what was happening because I could actually hear the whine through my window. This is a liberal blog, not a right winger convention where grinning idiots where purple Band-Aids to mock veterans. You come here reciting stupid talking points repeatedly while making stupid generalizations about liberal stereotypes, and you whine like crybabies when somebody calls you on your crap. And if you personally insult me, as I have been repeatedly by you concern trolls pretending to worry about civility, I’m going to dish that back, too. Now we have a right winger taking his marbles and going home. Running to the teacher to say he doesn’t want to play with the liberal kid because he’s mean and makes him him feel sad. Wah. Have a hanky.
Grow up and show some respect, and you might get some. Have an original thought and take some responsibility for what you write, and put up or shut up. Or, as Joe is doing, ignore my posts. I don’t care either way.
1:10 am on August 7th, 2009 41
@Joe: I don’t hate you. I nothing you.
1:20 am on August 7th, 2009 42
@CLD: So you think a comments board with five right wingers arguing with one liberal is unfairly stacked against the right wingers because the liberal is producing more posts than you.
I’ll let that bit of inanity speak for itself. I have no response.
As for this gem: “True, content is king…but variety is the spice of life, and it gets old to see the same old dog doing the same old tricks….”
I’ll let you speak for yourself from an earlier thread, direct quote:
“The hard left like ACORN, the hard left like radical environmentalists, the hard left that wants this country to become a “slow France”. The hard left that re-writes history books, lets condoms become a priority in schools over the 10 commandments. Most Americans, I believe, want freedom of government controls on what we do, eat, drive, and worship. Most Americans, I believe, live life as conservatives, with family, country and God as the priority…not preaching Gay rights, and if “Sally has two Moms” or not….You read too much between the lines, always looking to pick a fight. Just because you voted for “President” Obama, and “52%” might have (still not sure how many ACORN votes were still living voters or the same voters, or competent/informed voters), does NOT imply thay are not “real Americans”. Bet most of those 52% live a pretty conservative life, and dont worship golden idols or practice communism, want kindergarteners learning about condoms or Sallys two Moms…bet you a bunch on that. Just ask any parent, regardless of WHO they voted for…”
It’s like being born in 2001, dying in 2008, and just before you die, you see your life flash before your eyes. Crazy me, I thought the afterlife held more promise. Instead, it’s filled with the same old hatreds and wingnuttery. You’re a broken record, CLD. All of you, saying the exact same things, sharing the same hatreds of things you’re afraid of and don’t understand, are one big broken record. CLD, you’re going to make a great right wing pundit.

Gaia, I think I mentioned before that I grew up in a staunchly Dem household. And, Starting with Carter, voted straight party line for over a decade, close to two, in fact.
But started splitting my ticket when I started reading the Constitution and comparing what the Dems were saying they wanted to do with what the Constituion allowed. And then really looked at it and found that it was taken over by the fringe left, and changing with the cause of the month. And that it had no place in it for a straight, white, christian, gun owning male.
Now, the GOP isn’t a whole lot better, but it is somewhat better. Doesn’t give a damn about what colour I am, or if I’m a man or a woman, or what colour I am, or how or if I pray, or if I decide I want to own guns. Those are all my business and irrelevant. It does tend to intrude into the bedroom, which is a shame. but no party is perfect.
I’d love to see some new political parties with at least a snowballs chance, but I dont think that will happen for a while yet. We will have to be at the stage where we are actually sharpening the pitchforks and heating the tar.

@GTL: I’m not here to make friends. I have plenty of friends. I’m here to make war on bad ideas and play Whack a Mole with right wing talking points. I have no anger for anybody here. I don’t know anybody here beyond what is possible by reading endlessly repetitious paranoid attacks on liberals that all sound the same. If I get personally attacked, which happens often, I just shrug it off. What do I care? It’s just a blog, not self esteem therapy. Sheesh. I thought right wingers were supposed to be tough guys.
What I don’t understand: Why aren’t you lecturing the right wingers here about civility? Maybe I need to compile a “greatest hits” of personal attacks made on me since I’ve come here by these saintly victims, since the current trend is to rush to the teacher to tattle tale over somebody using mean words that make me sad. I know you like these people, but come on, try to at least be somewhat fair about it. K?

I can sympathize with your feeling that you’re out-numbered, but remember that this is GTL’s site, and he ALWAYS get’s the opening shot. That sort of establishes the playing field, and unless one completely agrees with our gracious host, it follows that comments will be critical, hopefully in the nicest possible way. I’ve often wished GTL had a larger Lefty cadre, although in my version I was thinking of some of the Leftists from the past who were more amiable opponents.

Just understand that Baddog is just doing exactly what he said he was going to do. Taking whatever those he considers to be “righties” have said and repeating it back to them (more or less) from a radical fringe lefty point of view. He’s just being a contrarian. For example, if you say the sky is blue, he’ll come back with a comment that the sky is green and he’ll have a link to Kos or HuffPo or Gin and Tacos to back it up (if he can find one). If you say he is using talking points, he’ll counter that you’re using talking points, etc.
But the fact is, he does represent one of few left wing voices we have had around here lately. I don’t mind hearing what the fringe left has to say, and quite honestly, I can’t stomach Rachel Maddow (the looniest talking head you’ll ever meet) and her ilk.
So that’s enough of that, but back to the earlier “talking point”. . .
Health Care Proposal HR 3200
I urge everyone to read this bill. Understand what it means and what it will cost. The true cost is not only measured in the trillions of dollars we will have to pay, but also in the loss of our Freedom of Choice in how we manage our own health care and how our children, and their children will manage theirs.
The left has started stacking the town hall meetings trying to shout down the legitimate conservative citizens who have been legally expressing their opinions and concerns over the Socialization of our health care system, and the bullying tactics being used by Pelosi, Rahm Emanuel, and other Obama cronies, not to mention Obama himself in trying to quash all dissent. They do not want open and honest debate and discussion, they want power.
ACORN is rearing its ugly head once again and sending out its army of thugs in an attempt to intimidate U.S. citizens. It is already rumored that the administration and ACORN are sending out their dogs to combat and quash dissent on the internet. This is what we have with an Obama administration. Dissent will not be permitted.

This is a liberal blog, not a right winger convention where grinning idiots where purple Band-Aids to mock veterans.
Well this makes no sense. GTL is a libertarian with liberal leanings. His guest blogger is as I understand it much more to the right then the left…How you translate that to infer this is a LIBERAL blog is why much of what else you write here is suspect at best.
Most commentors here tend to fit into the libertarian mold. You know those that are pretty much fed up with both right and left of the intelligent center.
Secondly right wingers are not grinning idiots nor are left wingers (insert your own defamation here).
It is not so much what you say as how you say it Dawg. We can all disagree and be agreeable about it. We can spout our own talking points without trash talking someone else. The fact that you prefer to trash talk while you talk is why your a THUG. Until your gone or until you determine to get your point across in a more civil and respectful manner then I am gone. There are 10’s of thousands of blogs on this internet…I dont have to be insulted with every post I write on this site…I can go elsewhere where there is some degree of mutual respect for each other in the comments section.
Additionally as to my tongue in cheek Wimmin folk response to you……please see my history of the world post so that you understand rather then take it personally.
Thank you and good day.

A History Lesson
Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.
The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:
1. Liberals; and
2. Conservatives.
Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That’s how villages were formed.
Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement.
Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q’s and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.
Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known as girliemen.
Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.
Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.
Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare.
Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn’t fair to make the pitcher also bat.
Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, athletes, Marines, and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.
Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.
Here ends today’s lesson in world history: It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond to the above before forwarding it. A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will be forwarded immediately to other true believers and to more liberals just to piss them off.

Doomed
Something that might interest you.
The other day on a long plane ride, being desperate for reading material I perused an abandoned September ‘09 copy of “Men’s Journal”. In amongst the articles about outrageously expensive autos and sports for younger men with better knees than I, was bit by Cesar Millan, the “Dog Whisperer”. One of his admonitions was, and I quote:
” If your dog whines, barks, begs, or otherwise misbehaves, the best thing you can do is nothing. Most of the time the bad behavior will end on it’s own. “I’m not ignoring them, per se.I’m ignoring the state of mind. I don’t want to nurture that state”.
I’m just saying Dude.

@Whinypants: I’m amazed at how unaware right wingers can be. They act like jerks, then accuse their opponents of doing it. Then they whine about it. My toddler has more self-awareness and personal strength than the whiners on this site.
Don’t like what your opposition is saying? Threaten to leave and try to get him banned so you don’t have to listen anymore! Cuz he’s SO MEAN and bruises my glass ego.
I’m not heartless. I’m still offering a hanky for all those manly Glenn Beck tears. Take it, blow your nose, and consider the whole thing another step to maturity.
Oh, and BTW, I’ve stated numerous times that if you don’t like what I’m saying, you can always ignore me. Respond, or don’t respond, I don’t care.
I would just hope you guys could do it with a little dignity. Try to be more like FandB, who recognizes it’s just a blog, just a game, a joust. He appears to be having fun.

@Doomed: Weren’t you supposed to be leaving? Oh, I get it. It was an obvious ploy to get the admin to censor or ban me. You’re not actually leaving.
Welcome back!
First, the name of the blog is http://www.guntotingliberal.com. It’s not http://www.guntotinglibertarianwithliberalleanings.com. Quote from GTL: “I’m a libertarian-leaning Liberal.” You can quibble about a capital or lower-case L in liberal, but there’s actually no difference other than in your mind. So when you call liberals girlie men? You’re calling GTL a girlie man.
I guess that would qualify this blog as a liberal blog.
Second, you can be fed up with the left and right but all I hear on this site from its “libertarians” is how evil liberals and Obama are. You’re a right winger. Have the courage to be what you are. When I see BS, I call it BS. Sorry if that makes you want to quit.
Third, you may not realize this, but you and the other right wingers are completely insulting in almost every one of your posts. You spread propaganda that is often proven false or even ridiculous on its face. You make vicious generalizations about liberals. When you say liberals are girls, you are saying I’m a girl, and I don’t like being called a girl, especially by a hermaphrodite.
For example, your post 49, you may think it’s funny, but there are these people called “other people” who are “not you” and they have “their own thoughts and view of the world.” Empathy lesson over. So Post 49 is trash talk. You may be used to typing this kind of drivel, watching the other right wingers chortle their lols, and see GTL call you a rascal, but I’m not them. You are trash talking liberals, and therefore trash talking me. So I will trash talk you. The only difference between us if I’m not running crying to the admin about it trying to get anybody banned.
I’ve said many times, show some respect, and you get some respect. If you want civility, show some civility. Look at my conversations with Mike. Barbed, but civil. Even FandB, who have zero in common other than joy in verbal combat, have found an accommodation and a way to argue without tears. Try me sometime, without calling liberals women first. See what happens.
Otherwise, I’ll see you in a month!

@Doomed: Tried to write this before, but there was a problem with the comments. One last thing from me to you. I read over some of my previous posts and believe in 12 I may have been insensitive to your personal situation you described in 10. I’ve had my own experiences with government incompetence, and can relate, and sympathize. You had ended the story about your mother with a political point. I wish you hadn’t and let your story speak for itself. I was responding to that point with my usual rain of bricks, but in doing so, I may have come across as insensitive to the bad situation your mother is in, which was not my intent. So in case I gave offense, I apologize, and wish your family well despite our political differences.
