Donald Trump To Miss California, Carrie Prejean: You’re FIRED!

Carrie_Prejean_Fired_By_The_Donald_Trump_Miss_California_Miss_USA_Contest“The Donald” Changes His Mind On Miss California’s Continued Employment Citing A Failure On Her Part To Meet Contractual Obligations

Folks, folks, FOLKS — Just what is happening to our 1st Amendment right to voice our heartfelt opinions, however “unpopular” or “uncool” they might be these days? Perhaps Señor Juan Sidney “Panama John” McCain of Arizona Panama, the sponsor of the unconstitutional McCain-Feingold [so-called] “campaign reform” can better help us to understand? After all, it seems it was these two folks who most recently began the “Political Correctness Adjustment” to our Constitutional Freedom of Speech by prohibiting all of us from passing a hat around between ourselves and hopefully some rich folks, too in order to have somebody who thinks and believes the way we do to take on the two party system cartel. From there, it just seems to keep spiraling and spiraling away from us — our right to give an honest opinion. Not here, BUB. We’ve been telling it like it is since 2004 and we’re not going to stop now.

Just yesterday, it was all about the Right attacking David Letterman for his Top Ten list JOKE concerning Sarah Palin, some lipstick and a flight attendant “look”. Also in progress, as covered by our Official Sunday Columnist -slash- “twin brutha from the other side of the aisle”, Christopher L. Doster, far-Right (so far in fact, he’s sometimes meeting himself from the Left) talk radio shock jock, Doctor Michael Savage of The Savage Nation is fighting for his right to enter Great Brittain thanks to FORMER British leader Jacqui Smith’s perception of this man’s words as being “hate speech”. As of this writing, this man is STILL barred from ever entering Great Britain. Is that crazy or what? These are intelligent entertainers, folks — BOTH of them and they have a right to speak their minds and SHOULD have a right to speak their minds. “Liberal”, “Conservative”, or whatever.

Next up, we have (now) [FORMER] Miss California — the now infamous Carrie Prejean, who lost the Miss America Pageant, owned and operated by “The Donald” because she was pinned down by some other blowhard blogger like myself by the handle of “Perez Hilton” to give her honest opinion on gay marriage, in which she responded exactly the way our Liberal president, Barack Obama himself did — “I was raised to believe marriage should be between one man and one woman” (paraphrased), she responded. Guess what? I disagree COMPLETELY with her from a Constitutional standpoint. The more the marry-her (< --- PUN INTENDED) if that’s your bag. So what? She can’t say what she believes and keep her job now? The always-fair and balanced Fox News Channel is now reporting Miss Prejean may no longer continue to do so. Well, they’re implying “The Donald” fired her for some unknown and unspoken “contractual issue” with Miss Prejean but I think we all know what it’s about — she’s political incorrect and has become a martyr for her one quite popular (by the way) opinion.

How in the hell does this “Perez Hilton” guy get the voting panel gig at the Miss America Pageant, by the way, and I don’t? After all, we’re both just a couple of dumbasses with computers, aren’t we? I can honestly say if it were I on the panel, I’d be curious to know how the models felt about our 2nd Amendment Constitutional Right To Keep And Bear Arms. I would be dismayed by any of them who disagreed with my own point of view and would try to hand out my business card for The Gun Toting Liberal™ to them after the show but I wouldn’t make the complete ass of myself that Mr. “I’m gay and proud of it” Perez Hilton did by demonizing them just because I was enjoying my fifteen minutes of fame and a chance to push my agenda.

I’m sick and tired of the “mind police” who are gaining power in this country from BOTH sides of the aisle — to HELL with ‘em, I say. And I do mean that LITERALLY.

  • H/T goes yet again to MemeOrandum for the pull
  • Others O-Pine: ALLAHPUNDIT of Hot Air (Right) seems to believe this is all Miss Prejean’s fault; Ron Chusid of Liberal Values (Left) seems to agree with ALLAHPUNDIT on this one (?); Drudge Retort (Left) as always has a very interesting and fun discussion going on

UPDATE: FoxNews is offering a poll — “YOU DECIDE: Was Carrie Prejean fired for a breach of contract or for her stance on gay marriage?”Vote early and often

Guns, you know that if you voice any doubt about or opposition to the lefts cause of the week or month you are automatically slapped with being filled with hate for the objects of that cause. Or whatever negative lable the left comes up with. Against illegal immigration? Why, then you are a racist xenophobe. Don’t support gay marrieage? Why, you hate gays. Against laws that violate the 2nd amendment? Then you must be a killer just waiting to explode and gun down people for taking your parking space. etc. ad naus.

And, like it or not, since a huge portion of the MSM is controlled by leftists, then going against the cause of the month gets you smacked down.

As you say — “The Left” — not LIBERALS (we’re being silenced from within or I’d be The Gun Toting Democrat). Oh, and I forgot — “progressives”. These people stink even worse than the Religious Right and that’s sayin’ something.

Get back with me once you’ve watched Zeitgeist and let me know if you STILL believe it is the “Leftists” whom really control the MSM. HINT — you might be quite surprised by the answer, brother ;-)

Let’s see – right wingers just killed Tiller and are happy about the murder, shot up the Holocaust Museum, passed anit-smoking ban statewide, doubled number of convictions for DUI . . . and who is telling who how to live? Corporate buck-licking right whiners are pretty good at killing people to get their way. People on the left just use labels.

I’ve managed to get about half way through that movie, Guns. Maybe wade about half way through it would be a better way of putting it. I think the most telling line, so far, was something like ‘you see lies wherever you look.’ Or convince yourself that everything you look at is a lie. If Mikey Moore and Erick van Daaniken (sp?) got married and made a conspiracy movie, this would be it.

Maybe in the second half it ties everything together.

Joe, yeah — by the end, it’ll all be tied together, bro… stick with it :-)

On Carrie, she gave a news conference saying she was fired because basically she refused to do “dirty” pictures. But I figure that anything that The Donald is attached to is yuck.

I figure on the MSM, follow the money. Who owns is a what more important than who they hire to report.

I swear that it makes my head hurt for folks to say that whenever they’re criticized for sharing their opinion that it’s a violation of their freedom of speech. Give me an effing break. Just like you’re free to say what you like and show the world that you’re an utter moron, the rest of us have an equal freedom to mock the hell out of you when you do. Other people utilizing their freedom of speech is not a violation of yours. That goes for David Letterman and Miss Prejean and anyone else who wants to cry about being picked on for expressing an opinion.

Criticizing someone for his or her views is no more violation of free speech than criticizing the criticizers and saying that they’re violating the first person’s free speech.

And with that being said, freedom of speech consists of the government not being allowed to restrict what you can say. “Congress shall make no law…” The last I checked, the conversation said nothing about your employer putting restrictions on what you can and cannot say. As a public figure (and sometimes even if you’re just a lowly desk employee), you are a spokesman for the company. Those who run that company have every right to fire you if they believe that your public views reflect on that company in a way that they don’t like. If Costco had an employee who said on the news, “I am a Costco employee, and I believe…,” then that employee can be fired if Costco does not like that opinion. As Miss California, her job is public relations and to represent the Miss USA Organization. Period. Regardless, it appears that they were having issues about her not making appearances for the Miss USA Organization, so whether or not she was fired for her beliefs is a non-issue.

The last I checked, the Miss USA pageant was a privately owned BUSINESS and not a government entity. Which means, forgive me if I’m wrong, Donald Trump has every right to fire her if she so much as gains an extra pound at Christmas.

Prejean had every right to answer any question in any way that she wanted then (still does), and the judges had every right to “judge” her however they liked. Again, this has nothing to do “violating” her right to speak. She’s just griping because everyone else exercised theirs in response. I use my free speech to make fun of Perez Hilton on a daily basis for exercising his.

Public schools are different in that they are government entities. Private schools, however, have every right to make such a decision should they believe that a student is not an accurate representation of their institution. Show me a kid in a public school unable to speak his views, and I’ll show you a REAL violation of free speech.

The situation with the UK banning a person for their views is another matter entirely and IS a situation that represents violation of free speech, though the UK is not the US, so I’m not really sure if our concept of free speech would apply when speaking about an entirely different, sovereign country with democratically elected leaders. Quite frankly, I feel that the FCC not allowing Prejean to answer with “F–k you!” would be the best example of any violation of free speech in any of these situations.

As for Obama’s stance on gay marriage, a lot of people tend to ignore the second half of what he said, that he believes that marriage is between a man and a woman BUT that he didn’t believe he should impose his personal beliefs on others via passing a ban.
