The GTL™ Is Experiencing Mainstream Media (“MSM”) Overload Again… Help A Brother OUT…
Oh, my gosh. Talk about writer’s block. I’ve had it again and again and again on and off throughout the last couple of weeks. Why? I guess it’s due in part to the MSM overload of important -slash- unimportant “stories” I’m being bombarded with lately. Oh, sure; I could be like MOST bloggers, including myself historically speaking, and pick one topic, ANY topic, and pretend I’m “the smartest kid in the room” on that particular subject and it would be pretty easy to keep my daily column, “Slightly Left Of Center But Always On Target”, going just fine and dandy. But I think it might just be time for something MORE than that (Sorry, my fellow “Lefty bloggers — the Eagle needs both a Right wing and a Left wing to fly.
So, what’s going on today? Apparently, David Letterman, a comedian who’s NEVER attempted to portray himself as a politician has torqued off the Right Wing by making a (so-called) “sexist” joke about my former classmate from Wasillia, Alaska Junior High School during his most recent “Top Ten” segment (Hot Air).
I like Sarah on a personal basis, always have, but who cares? Well, Sarah cares [deeply, TOO I might add] apparently. Get over it Mizz Heath — you had a great sense of humor in school, get it back and you just MIGHT have a chance to go somewhere other than the Governorship of Russia’s closest neighbor, The Great State Of Alaska where you and I both grew up.
So, did I read that in my MSM newsreader and decide it was a story worth a thousand words? NOPE. It just doesn’t matter. As much as I wish for nothing but the best for my former Alaskan classmates, I could care less about whether or not the “New And Improved Sarah Barracuda Palin” was offended by Letterman’s Top Ten list. And if you leave the politics out of it, nor does SHE — I promise you. OR, a very distinct second possibility — Sarah’s lost her frigging mind and there’s no way home for her. She’s been “G.O.P.P.E.D.” Somehow, I believe she’s smarter than that though. Not convinced, mind you. Just thinking out loud. As usual.
On the other side of the political divide, it appears the Democrats are going to FINALLY agree to a national health care plan (New York Times). They’re still confused about how exactly we’re going to pay for it but I have a feeling I might be able to help them out — just print more money and whoa-LAHHH — there we go. BOOM — Democracy restored.
Last but not least — another one swirling around in my pea-brain — ONE QUARTER of ALL Republicans are now saying they disapprove of their very own party (USAToday.Com). Let’s narrow this down one more tiny notch — we’re talking about the party who is already less popular than China, the legalization of pot and even AIDS for cryin’ out loud (The Daily Kos).
Too much going on — YOU o-pine. This is (again) your turn to speak your minds and make this blog column work.

Well, since you need to have about 2 days to bull your way through its two hours, it makes sense that it may be the most downloaded movie.
As for Mr. Thomas – he isn’t wacked out – he is a true and leading spokesman for the left. Just like Rush and Ann are for the right.

I think Letterman went over the line with his joke about Palin’s daughter. Thought the same thing about McCain with his ugly jokes about Chealsa (probably spelled wrong).
Jokes about politican’s kids are not funny to me.

Awright buddy, I’ll help you out. First you gotta stop watching/reading/listening to the MSM. They are simply right wing corporate shills. ANYONE can see how they hate the President and will do ANYTHING to bring him down. Once you’re freed from your false consciousness, read only PuffHo, DU, and Kos. They are the only real news sources, other than “Gramma”.
You’re pretty well on the right track. Keep up the “Republicans are evil baby eaters and sea otter rapists” thing. I’d throw in a few more articles linking the NRSC to Stormfront though. Better yet link ‘em to Stormfront and Isreal, that’ll be cool. Whatever you do, don’t write anything, as in at all, critical of the President, cuz then you’d be just like those MSM jerk-offs.

Seriously thought, a commenter on a Republican blog this afternoon asked if the lamps were starting to go out. Was that a Churchhill quote? About the lamps going out in Europe.
Have been reading all afternoon about the alleged shooter at the Holocaust Museum and one thing is beginning to bug me, almost everyone is referring to him as right wing. To me this guy is not right wing, he is in the same category as the KKK and the guys who blew up OK City. None of them seem to be of a political party or slant; just sub-humans who love to hate and find reasons to kill. But do not think that Republicans should have any blame for him no matter how far out on the fringe he is supposed to be.

Well, considering that “neo-cons” are by definiaiton libs that have crossed over, and we seem awash in them, and I’m a Dem who is disgusted with the D&C bending down for every fringe left group – and virtually all the Republicans I know are disaffected Dems, that sword cuts both ways. Plus it seems now that a whole bunch of people who voted for the former junior senator from IL are already fed up with him.
I havn’t watched all of it, Guns. The first bit is kind of avant gard, and I have trouble taking that in big doses. Plus the conspiracy theory that runs through it (I kind of spot checked it, a few minutes here and there to get an overview) puts me in mind of a Mikey Moore mockumentery. It will take me a few days to get through the whole thing.

If the folks at CBS had half a cajone they’d fire that PERVERT Letterman for his total lack of character, and his complete inability to distinguish right from wrong. Suggesting that Gov. Palin’s 14 year old daughter was (statutorily) raped by Alex Rodriguez during a game Palin attended is beyond the pale. It is a vivid demonstration of the levels **SOME** liberals will stoop to. Gov. Palin is a “celebrity” and as such is fair game for virtually any comment Loser-Letterman wants to throw at her, but Palin’s 14 year old daughter IS NOT. I’d like to see Willow Palin SUE LETTERMAN for Slander and defamation of character.
Almost worse than Loser-Pervert-Letterman’s remarks was that the audience full of slack-jawed liberal yokels laughed when he said it. Another bunch of idiotic loser lemmings.
On my 5 hour drive home yesterday I finally got to listen to Rush, a rarity for me. It was pretty good, he has toned down his act a little since the last time I heard his show. He did have some good one-liners though, like…
