Loading ...New Intelligence Report: Nancy Legosi Was An Active Participant In The Cheney-Bush Torture “Program”
Just yesterday, we learned Dick “Shotgun” Cheney “The Sleeping Veep” had shredded an administration lawyer’s memo to the effect of “This torture stuff might be SLIGHTLY illegal, Sirs/Ma’ams” in an attempt to hide any dissenting opinions on their twisted little “program”. Looking back a few weeks ago, we had all heard rumors Nancy Legosi had participated in the torture “program” by having full knowledge of all aspects of it but she had fervently denied any such “propaganda” (HuffPo). Today, we learn Ms. Legosi was an active participant in the crimes (ABC News’ The Note blog). Big surprise? Uh, NO. Not really.

ABC News’ Rick Klein reports: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was briefed on the use of “enhanced interrogation techniques” on terrorist suspect Abu Zubaydah in September 2002, according to a report prepared by the Director of National Intelligence’s office and obtained by ABC News.
The report, submitted to the Senate Intelligence Committee and other Capitol Hill officials Wednesday, appears to contradict Pelosi’s statement last month that she was never told about the use of waterboarding or other special interrogation tactics. …”

The meeting is described as a “Briefing on EITs including use of EITs on Abu Zubaydah, background on authorities, and a description of particular EITs that had been employed.”
EITs stand for “enhanced interrogation techniques,” a classification of special interrogation tactics that includes waterboarding. …
OOPS. As Andrew Sullivan of The Daily Dish puts it: “BUSTED“. Well said, Sir. “Busted”, indeed.
So, now we all know what our patriotic duty as American Citizens is, correct? We must continue these investigations and not only that, have all responsible members of the Cheney-Bush Administration and any other “enablers” involved, including but DEFINITELY not limited to Nancy Legosi and her co-horts — both sides of the aisle — tried and convicted for conspiracy under the RICO Act. Not much of a fan of RICO but when it is used to imprison crooked (so-called) “public servants”, I’m all FOR it.
Look, I’m not implying they should rot in prison or be sent to The Hague — just a few months behind bars in a federal “country club”, then pardoned by President Barack Hussein Obama shortly thereafter, if for no other reason than to (and not necessarily in this order):
A) Remove these swine from ever seeking a position of power in public office again – B) To set an example and establish clear precedence for future administrations and even the current administration – C To reestablish ourselves as a nation of laws and civility –
Too often, We, The People, are apathetic and willing to just stand by and deem our public servants “leaders” (WRONG — stop calling them “leaders”, please — read your Constitution — these buffoons work for YOU) as our “elites”, as if they are above the same laws we are just because they MAKE the laws. Not true. I’m sick and TIRED of it…

CIA Says It Briefed Congressional Leaders…
This is not a surprise…but it won’t matter…The MSM will spin in her favour and liberals won’t change their minds about her, nor will conservatives….

It say that Pelosi was briefed about EITs that might be used, but does not mention waterboarding in particular.Abu Zubaydah was the first prisoner waterboarded by the CIA. He was waterboarded several times in August 2002. Pelosi received her first briefing on “Enhanced Interrogation Techniques” (EIT) on September 4, 2002.
Then read down to 2/4/2003 where Republican Pat Roberts and Democrat John Rockefeller were briefed and water boarding was specifically stated as being used. ABC is not telling a direct lie, but omitting some crucial information. The remember that these Congressional reps are forbidden to reveal, by law, national security briefings.Pelosi has been on record as favoring a Truth Style 9-11 commission – does that sound like someone that has something to hide. If it turns out that Pelosi knew more then she is saying, combined with some legal avenue to have made objections, then to heck with her, but this so-called new information does not seem to suggest she has lied thus far.

It should come as no surprise to anyone if (when) it is discovered that Pelosi and her cronies are lying.
Quite simply I have said. Who exactly are we going after in these witch hunts?
It will come out that the Democrats were fully informed………SEE THE CIA DIRECTOR’s BOOK explaining to us in bold print how high ranking Democrats were kept well informed on the NSA wiretaps too. But oh we know that Bush has a secret listening post in his bedroom in which he listened in on little old ladies talking to their loved ones in Iran.
The witch hunt will lead us in circles until the PRESS can convince us that participation is not a crime if you were a democrat. That only a Republican is to be villified and tried for war crimes. That being briefed on, agreeing to the terms of the Bush regime of enhance terrorgation is not the same thing as writing a legal paper on the legality of it if certain conditions were met.
NO its only the Bush team that should be held accountable even though many, many Democrats sat in on and approved of the process.
