That’s Right, Folks — Former Counselor To Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Philip Zelikow Was Convinced Dick “Shotgun” Cheney Was “The Evil Shredder”
Mother Jones is reporting Mr. Zelikow’s memo, which never appeared in the Cheney-Bush documents wasn’t included because they had been shredded after the document reached the office of this nation’s first “Fourth Super Branch of Government“. Why would this young Democratic Republic’s most irresponsible gun owning tenant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue EVER react in such a way to a fellow Bushite’s suggestion? Think about it. It’s OBVIOUS, folks…
The Zelikow memo in question posed a little “Just what if this torture stuff isn’t REALLY all that legal after all? I mean, it’s fun to torture and all but what if we’re actually breaking the law in the process?” sort of inquiry to The Office Of The Lawyer Shooter. The worst duck hunting example in the history of the Oval Office’s reaction? SHRED. SHREDDDD. SHREDDDDD.
Turning through the pages of the Internets, I see there is now a CNN poll indicating a majority of my fellow Americans (57%) now say they don’t want Congress to investigate the Cheney-Bush torture “program” any further (Political Ticker)…
Are you SURE? REALLY sure? You’d better think twice then think twice more again. You or a loved one could be the next victim under a less-favorable congress and administration in the future if we allow ANYBODY in such a high seat of power to break the laws we ourselves would land behind bars in a heartbeat were we to commit those very same felonies.

Of course everyone realizes by now that (1) EVERYONE in the government (including all those little democrats in Congress) was fully aware of the specific details of the interrogation methods that were being used, and (2) None of the methods used were “Torture”, and (3) The Geneva Conventions do not apply in this case.
So what we have here in reality is a non-issue, a “wild goose chase”, a “witch hunt” that is being perpetrated upon the American people by the left wing. And of course it is clear that this is being done to distract, to draw attention away from the crimes of the current administration in destroying the Constitution and the economic system that turned this great nation into the world’s one and only Superpower.
The aspect that is most puzzling, however, is that so many otherwise intelligent people are completely oblivious to this administration’s actions and the long term consequences.
If We The People don’t start fighting back, and soon, we will lose our right and ability to do so forever.
As long as We The People waste our time worrying about some two-bit government nobody’s fuzzy memory while the government is spending Trillions of tax dollars buying up the country’s banks and car companies, we will surely lose this struggle.
And face it, we all know the left wing’s and Obama’s agenda well enough to know that private ownership of guns is next. After the gun grab, we will all be working for the government sooner than you think.

As a former Republican who thinks my political persuasion is currently Libertarian, only to find out recently by taking one of those confounded political quizzes, learned I’m actually a Moderate (smack dab in the middle of the arena as you can see by the graph on my blog), totally, and I mean TOTALLY agree with you, GTL!! And – for the VERY reasons you cite! Good on you, you da Man!
If we don’t, well, just think what Bama-Lama and the DingDongs will… yup!

My only complaint with that statement is that DEMOCRATS IN CONGESS was not properly emphasized. As it became clear today, Rep. Pelosi was briefed in detail in 2002. Anyone with a double digit IQ can rest assured that shortly thereafter the remaining Democratic leaders were similarly informed. What is truly amazing is that the gaggle ( flock, herd, pod,?) of Leftists that find Nancy just the perfect Pelosi, and find no good in the hearts of anyone to right of Lenin, suddenly are talking about anything BUT this fact.
All of that being said, at this point I feel compelled to rise to the defense of our good natured host. Sure he is over the top in condemning Pres. Bush’s administration and having a blind spot like an asteroid for his Leftist buddies. So what. Some of us righties are guilty of the same but different. Quite a few of us were uncomfortable with the “interrogation protocals”, and we remained silent because we didn’t want to give “those other guys” ammo. As an abject lesson, all I can say is “look where that got us”. The powers that were took that as a sign of tacit approval. With that silence, our supposed comrades in ideology went on to spend like drunk sailors and laid the groundwork for the current disaster in chief.
F&B also said “If We The People don’t start fighting back, and soon, we will lose our right and ability to do so forever.” Right now, this probably applies more to the patriotic Left than the Right. We are out of power, and marginalized. After years of the right being labelled as “idiotic” and “hypocritical” now is the Left’s chance to prove they are somehow better. I seriously doubt they will even prove equal, although hope springs eternal.

I thought you might be interested in this letter written by Halliburton whistleblower Bunny Greenhouse, who was retaliated against after she testified to Congress last week. Ms. Greenhouse is calling on all Americans to support whistleblower protection for federal employees. To read her letter go to http://capwiz.com/whistleblowers/issues/alert/?alertid=13371836
