“The Specster” Hasn’t Changed Despite Party Switch: Still Everybody’s Problem
As regular readers already know, I’ve RARELY anything negative to say about The Specster. That said, I’m beginning to slowly open my eyes to the fact this Elder Statesman power hungry government welfare bum of a senator (I’m not saying the rest of them aren’t, by the way) is a plague to our Democratic Republic no matter whether he sports an “R” or a “D” behind his name.
Okay, I’m stretching the truth here. If you bothered to click on that link you’d have learned I’ve been trashing this BUM since the birth of this blog and will continue to do anything and everything in my power to aid him in a transition from “public service” (yeah, RIGHT) to the free soup lines of Pennsylvania. And for good reason as far as I am concerned.
The latest on The Specster? As we all know, this welfare bum switched parties to the delight of his former G.O.P. and the chagrin of his new Democratic Party a few days ago. The question wasn’t “if” but “WHEN” this traitorous welfare bum would be launching his next assault upon his own constituents or the will of The People in general. It wasn’t that big of a question for some, including MOI (and again, for new readers, indeed I AM part French and unapologetic for it) — I never thought he’d stopped.
On the other hand, there are some who are stunned to learn he is now “demanding” the judicial system of the Great State of Minnesota stop acting legally and immediately appoint Republican senate-wannabe Norm Coleman over Democratic senate-wannabe Al Frankin immediately despite the fact the most boring comedian and political radio talk show host EVER (just my not-so-humble opinion) is still officially in the lead. Nothing surprising there.
After all, such behavior is to be expected from a self-serving, traitorous government welfare bum who’ll do anything and everything to stay in the news and keep collecting that “free lunch” his fellow Pennsylvanians have been handing him since the days of Lincoln (give or take a decade), right? A direct appeal by The Spectster for Minnesotan officials to commit felonies in order to serve his own personal and political interests should not suprise anybody either.
When will we learn? When will we ever learn? Pennsylvanians, only YOU can rid this country of this disease called “Arlen Specter”. Please do your civic duty. Elections 2010 are right around the corner, by the way. Thanks in advance.

Now you begin to understand why virtually every conservative commentator rejoiced over Sen. Specter’s defection and I don’t necessarily mean the loss of a moderate GOP vote. Just as you have often pointed out, the man is possessed of zero principles.
With Sen. Specter haunting their side of the aisle, the Democratic Party loses it’s political cover of Republican obstructionism, and gains an unreliable hack. This guy rivals V. Pres. Biden for the foot-in-mouth award. The Democratic Party did itself no favors with this one.

Specter was outta his mind to think that he could just slap a D before his name and still vote against the budget, healthcare, unions and root for Coleman! If you go against everything Dems put out there, then don’t ask for their support. Call yourself an Independent and get funds from…wherever…

Isn’t Specter sort of like that little kid on the playground who was not very athletic and was always a little too young, a little too short, a little too slow, and was always the last one picked when sides were chosen for whatever game happened to be in season? It’s like, too bad, so sad, you Dem’s are stuck with him for a while.
And now, after the Dem’s have lured him over to the Dark Side, they’re gonna screw him over and take away his 29 years of seniority. He must be the first person over a hundred who is a Junior Senator!
Ya’ gotta love those dem’s! Those rascals have Zero integrity, even to their own.

Heh… I like your post but I’d like to make a correction — the Dems don’t like the guy either. He did this on his own to stay in the headlines and in a desparate urge to cling to power when in reality, he’s a traitor and a swine no matter whose party he occupies. I don’t think this jackass is popular with very many in the middle and never has been. JMO –

You said “Heh… I like your post but I’d like to make a correction — the Dems don’t like the guy either.”
Begs the question: So why did they take him?

I didn’t think they had a choice, Chuck… anybody can switch political parties for any reason they choose, at least here in Alabama and most other states to the best of my knowledge. What did the Dems do? They were activists in the stripping of this dangerous buffoon’s seniority within hours. Damn, I hate sticking up for the Dems (as a body) or the Republicans (as a body) or any part of the two party cartel!

LOL buddy. I take no pleasure in saying I think you are in for a tough 4 years, what with Joe,F&B, et al around. It just plain bites to have to keep saying “Yes they suck, but…”

I agree that anybody can switch parties and all that, however, it appears that Sen. Reid actually told Specter that he would be allowed to switch to the Dark Side without losing his 29 years seniority. After the switch was announced, Specter was informed that Reid did not have the authority to make that promise and the democrat caucus would not make good on Reid’s offer.
Oh well, just like fish, democrats don’t hesitate to devour their own kind.
