There Is Even Bigger And Somewhat Related News…
That’s right, it’s all about the tax cheating Timothy Geithner and the AIG bonus scam today (CNN) in the Blogospheres (courtesy of MemeOrandum) thanks to TARP II BURP II and nobody is paying attention to a much bigger story going on behind the scenes.
That’s right, folks — Microsoft has just introduced the sleek new IE8 (Internet Explorer version 8, or “ocho” for Señor Juan Sidney McCain of Arizona Panama now that he seems to have finally learned how to turn his computer on) and it seems to be much more stable and faster, and provide a much better browsing experience for those who despise for AIG and Mr. Geithner. Obviously, I just HAD to download it (H/T to ARS Technica) and try it out purely for the benefit of our dear readers who share some disdain for IE7, AIG, and Obama Administration Secretary of Treasury, Timothy Geithner…
For example, I am working on a very slow (two clicks) WiFi connection and here are some interesting Google search terms, times and results concerning our favorite “love to hate” topics and subjects of the day:
Again, in the “new and improved” IE8 (download):
AIG criminals: Results 1 – 10 of about 296,000 for AIG Criminals. (0.13 seconds) fire Geithner: Results 1 – 10 of about 3,770,000 for fire geithner. (0.32 seconds) AIG fraud scandal: Results 1 – 10 of about 141,000 for AIG fraud scandal. (0.19 seconds) I hate Timothy Geithner: Results 1 – 10 of about 77,600 for I hate timothy geithner. (0.28 seconds) AIG prison: Results 1 – 10 of about 3,540,000 for AIG prison. (0.23 seconds) Geithner tarred and feathered: Results 1 – 10 of about 2,810 for geithner tarred and feathered. (0.22 seconds)
There you go — nice and quick on a slow connection and I even had about fourteen window tabs opened at one time while writing this column. From The GTL’s point of view, I highly recommend every pissed off American download IE8 now, if for no other reason than to do some thorough, secure, quick research on the farce happening as we speak on Capitol Hill.
Not to mention, there is a nifty little feature called “Browse with InPrivate” where closet liberals, closet conservatives and toe-tapping Republicans can browse safely without leaving a browsing history behind for the wives and children of the Larry Craigs, the Ted Haggards and the Mark Foleys who lurk amongst us.
And hey — you’ve gotta love THAT, donchya?

[...] Gun Toting Liberal – While Everybody Else Is In An Uproar Over Timothy Geithner And AIG… [...]
I use IP hiding techniques to post on the internet.
I fear for my saftey in todays fascist internet that is being quickly usurped by Democratic thugs for the purpose of ensuring the continue to define the debate. A party that used the internet and uses internet bullies to keep things in their perspective and on favorable terms for them.
For example if you spend time all over the internet you will notice that if Obama gets into trouble that the internet bullies show up on the websites with names never before heard and intimidate other commenters and OPS with a distortion of facts and a deflection of the spin back onto something the GOP has done.
No where was this more astounding then when Sarah Palin was announced as the GOP VP pick that 1000′s of left sites were all running the same smear tactics and within hours the right and left blogs filled up with commenters all blasting her non stop, over and over and smearing her with anything and everything that would stick.
I am afraid of the internet now. I am afraid to tell anyone who I am. This place is becoming a fascist pipeline for the drivel our politicians are peddling.
Why do I claim fascism?
Fascism is a radical, authoritarian nationalist ideology that aims to create a single-party state with a government led by a dictator who seeks national unity and development by requiring individuals to subordinate self-interest to the collective interest of the nation or race.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] Fascist movements promote violence between nations, political factions, and races as part of a social Darwinist and militarist stance that views violence between these groups as a natural and positive part of evolution.[9] In the view of these groups being in perpetual conflict, fascists believe only the strong can survive by being healthy, vital, and have an aggressive warrior mentality by conquering, dominating, and eventually eliminating people deemed weak and degenerate.
While this definition is not entirely accurate it very much reflects what is transpiring today in America and more specifically on the internet which the left/Democrats seem to have claimed as their own. There is no doubt the right is trying to fight back on the internet but they seem to have brought a knife to a gun fight.
We are being duped. Do you know why?
Fascist movements promote violence between nations, political factions, and races as part of a social Darwinist and militarist stance that views violence between these groups as a natural and positive part of evolution.
“Fraidycat” just described the Reign of Error in a few short sentences. This is called “projection,” and it’s an old wingtard trick; take MY worst traits, and project them onto YOU. Sorry, Fraidycat, that dog won’t hunt. We’re all sentient beings.
Alas, I cannot try IE8, since I jettisoned Windows years ago. I do not regret that, of course.
Guns, do you really believe the “browse in private” feature works? How much you want to bet that it really sends a signal to Staatssicherheitdepartmet to flag you as dangerous? I mean, if you really are innocent, why do you need to browse in private? What are you trying to hide, hmmm??? Queen Nancy will be MOST vexed with you.
Thanks Jolly
Ill go off and continue to be afraid of those who call me wingtard for believing that the democrats want to take us down a road to fascism.
Sorta reminds me of the internet bullies I was talking about. Don’t agree with me. Call me names.
LMFAO Joe!!! Agreed!!
