Michael Steele Was In Favor Of Pro-Choice Before He Was Against Abortions — All Within Just Hours
Let’s see now… Michael Steele has been the Republican National Committee (“RNC”) Chairman for just three short months now and in that short timeframe he has already offended and/or raised the hair on the backs of the necks of the following folks and groups of folks (in order, I do believe):
Myself, many readers of this blog, and many other pro-2nd Amendment Liberals and Conservatives alike who don’t share his wacky belief in banning assault“scary looking semi-automatic rifles with lots of plastic Mattel-manufactured grips that function the exact same way as those weapons without all of the plastic on them” –Some of the few racist-types still lurking within the Grand Old Party whom do not quite share Mr. Steele’s vision of a “New and improved, hip-hop GOP” – The “New Face Of The G.O.P.“, the draft-dodging far right wing talk radio shock jock, Rush Limbaugh and all of his Dittoheads– Today, it’s former preacher, current (fellow) rock-n-roll bass player, former Arkansas governor, and former G.O.P. presidential “hopeful”, Mike “Huck” Huckabee and all of those almost “irrelevant” fellow “evangelicals” who are torqued off at him because of his GQ Magazine interview where he said he’s pro choice and pro states’ rights on the matter of Abortion before he completely retracts his statement today. Our favorite “What Would Jesus Do” guy cannot yet bring himself to forgive Mr. Steele (Huck*Pac) despite Mr. Steele’s apology —
Well, well, well — ‘t’aint lookin’ too good for the (next in line for the “coveted” title of) “maverick Republican” these days, is it? Can we say “Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock…“, folks?
And, frankly, Mr. Steele wouldn’t get any further than any other fellow gun-grabber in his position of “authority”, so it’s not THAT hard to dismiss his anti-RTKBA stances and come to the conclusion it would be nice if the man had enough “gonies” to stick with his initial statements and stop crawling on his bended knees for forgiveness every time he speaks out and says what is REALLY on his mind. If he would just “grow a pair” and stand up to the bullies in his own party, he’d be the first REAL “maverick republican” any of us have seen in quite some time.
Too bad.

Other bloggers (all political spectrums represented here) chime in with their own “must reads”: Andrew Sullivan of The Daily Dish can’t resist taking a well-deserved potshot at Kenneth Blackwell for his idiocy; Dan Riehl of Riehl World View (Right) can’t resist firing a potshot back across Sully’s bow; Scott Lemieux of Lawyers, Guns and Money seems to get the “States’ Rights” issue=”Age-old G.O.P. stance” in regards to Mr. Steele’s FIRST statements before he caved in yet again to the “talking heads of the G.O.P.” as always; Allahpundit of Hot Air (Right) points out Mr. Steele is “sounds even shiftier and more convoluted on this subject than Romney, which is really saying something” (States’ Rights point again)…

Them Publicans should be run outta the country. We don’t need them no more.
All they want to do is to make money. They don’t care nothing about other people.
They are worthless bums that have nothing of value to contribute to society. They are cowardly, liars who have contributed nothing to America.
We need for this country to be 100 percent Democrat so we can have health care, welfare, everyone making 20-30 buks an hour and then we will see who laughs last when those Republicans have their secret meetings in garages and call themselves………”"”Not only NO but Hell NO!”"”

The funny thing is, in spite of a few position changes (and who doesn’t like to try new positions every now and then
), Michael Steele looks like he’s walking on a tight rope compared to the waffling coming from the democrat party.
FraidyKatt – I have to believe you’re being sarcastic, right? No one could have a viewpoint that is really that far out of touch with reality.

Actually I thought I would try a far left approach to posting about the GOP and that was a collective compilation of what the Far left thinks about the GOP.
The left/Democrats got their minimum wage run thru congress finally. The Minimum wage went up to 650 in July. Has anyone noticed what the price of a McDonald Hamburger is lately? That Number 3 that used to cost 3.49 in now 4.49. Relative to where you live in the country.
Any of you ever went grocery shopping in the last 6 or 8 months and say to your wife or hubby…..”Man I cant believe a can of beans is now 1.39 per can…Why I remember when it used to be 89 cents.
Well the minimum wage went up in july. Prices escalated with it. The price of Gasoline was peaking at 4bucks plus in July and our house of cards all came crashing down.
LISTEN TO ME. There is NO FREE LUNCH. Everything costs money. The best way to make your money mean something is not to depend upon the government but to depend upon YOURSELF.. Go earn your way. Don’t say “Its too hard……I cant” Just do it.
Because the Government can raise your wage to 20 bucks an hour and the companies that pay that are just going to raise a can of beans to 6 dollars a can and your 20 bucks an hour is still worth 5 dollars.
But screw them Publicans for understanding how the real world works. They should be punished.
