barack obama reads newspaper does not take blogs new media seriously The Only Blog President Obama Enjoys Is His Own BlogBarack Obama: Bloggers Are Too Black Or White For Me

That’s right, folks — President Obama prefers the mainstream media (“MSM”) over bloggers because we bloggers always offer an over-simple answer to a complicated problem. Of course, he does offer his own Obama Administration blog but that’s the only one he has any trust in, preferring to read weekly magazines and newspapers over any of us. While I cannot blame him if he were to fail to find The Gun Toting Liberal to be his “cup-o-tea”, I really do believe the man should spend a few moments a day reading blogs if for no other reason, just so he can get a better view of America and Her People. You want to know what [Sarah Palin's -- does not rhyme with Stalin's]Real Americans In Real America” (HuffPo) are thinking? If so, there is NO better place to visit than a blog…

A “Snip” from a New York Times article, which is getting the most attention for President Obama’s remark pertaining to Afghanistan — paraphrased: “Are we winning that war, Mr. President?” Answer: “NO.” than it is for his anti-blog comments toward the end:

“… Mr. Obama rode to the White House partly on his savvy use of new technology, and he has a staff-written blog on his presidential Web site. Even so, he said he did not find blogs to be reliable, citing the economy as one example.

“Part of the reason we don’t spend a lot of time looking at blogs,” he said, “is because if you haven’t looked at it very carefully, then you may be under the impression that somehow there’s a clean answer one way or another…”

Wow, what a slap in our faces. Apparently, President Obama does NOT get his daily dose of political “news” from this blog. And all this time, I was convinced he was one of my biggest fans. So much for that “gut feeling” thing “they” talk about, eh? How could we NOT be one of President Obama’s daily reads?

Makes me wonder though — what is President Obama to do once those daily reads of his (again — MSM) go down and go down HARD? Will he then turn to blogs? Or, were they included in the stimulus bailout package?

Yeah, yeah, I voted for the man but I do take a certain bit of offense to his and his predescessor, FORMER (thank God) President “Surge” W. Bush’s disdain and/or lack of enthusiasm for the “new media”. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — it is WE, not the mutinational media congomerates our Founders were willing to risk their lives and livelihoods for when they went out of the way to protect we, the “Town Criers” of their time.

While I can certainly understand if this blog or the next isn’t President Obama’s “cup-o-tea”, but I most certainly would appreciate it if he could take a moment to acknowedge our contribution to playing “watchdog” over our government. Again — that WAS the role of the media; “new” or “old”; whatever you prefer. And if you believe for one second any of our Framers of our Constitution would disagree with my claim, feel free to sound off in the comments.

I hope that President Obama watches Jon Stewart’s scathing indictment of CNBC, perhaps then he will realize just what is missing in the MSM, actual news.

I expected that by now some reporter would have written an expose on the financial world and how it got us where we are but no all I find are the repeating of sound bites. My memory may be faulty but it seems to me that the last actual exposure of government malfeasance was Watergate.

Maybe the President read only knee-jerk blogs and decided that they weren’t any better than the MSM. If so he needs to have an aide start searching for blogs like this one.

      Obamalamadingdong.

Has an agenda. He has marching clones who pour out into the blogs whenever there is an uproar or anything might actually make the Chosen one look bad.

Don’t believe it. I have literally seen it three times. During the Wright thing. During the Drill here, drill now thing and just recently during the Rush fiasco.

At websites all over the web, people that have never before been seen at these blogs would show up in droves posting rebuttals and debating anything negative said in response to their Master.

Brooks, Kramer and Santelli have all 3 been called out for some mindcontrol.

You think we have stuff to fear from Bush. You aint seen nothing yet.

Strangely, I totally agree with Gaia’s Child.

      Almost.

Hey, remember, Dubya used to have his own blog that he himself wrote, till they told him to stop because of the potential release of secret material (which sounds more like nervous nellies then anything else.)

He clearly hasn’t read your blog (or mine).
