sanjay gupta says no to obama surgeon general post People Magazines Sexiest Man Alive; CNN Television Star Just Says No To Surgeon General PostSanjay Gupta OUT

Wow, this is a “shocker” and a half. Ladies worldwide are probably crying themselves to sleep knowing the “heart throb” U.S. Surgeon General post for the “heart throb” President Obama Administration, Dr. Gupta has just said “no!” to the post. President Obama had wisely picked a CNN T.V. star and one-time People Magazine’s “Sexiest Men Alive” (The Washington Post) picks to be the nation’s most powerful and influential surgeon, if not the entire world’s due to the fact he’s having way, too much fun on the “boob tube” these days…

A “snip” or three from Team WaPo:

“Sanjay Gupta, CNN’s chief medical correspondent, has told network officials will not leave his television career to become the U.S. Surgeon General, according to sources familiar with his decision. …”

(Snip!)

“… The decision means that the often low-profile job will not get a mass-media jolt from appointing the well-known television celebrity. …”

(Snip!)

“… Gupta, who was once named one of the “sexiest men alive” by People Magazine, was never officially named to the post and continued to report on CNN. He did not issue a statement or explain his decision… “

Wow. He must owe some back taxes or something. That’s the best I can figure…

  • Other bloggers weigh in (Not many of my fellow “lefty” bloggers, however): Michelle Malkin (Right) suggests Dr. Phil may be available; Sister Toldja (Right) suggests George Clooney, who once also played a doctor on T.V.
