Obama Secretary Of Treasury Tim Geithner Pays Off His 34 Grand In Back Taxes Then Declares WAR On Fellow Tax Cheats

Now That Secretary Geithner Has Paid His Own $34K In Back Taxes, He Clearly Sees The Error Of His Ways — Vows SWIFT Justice For Those Who Should Even ATTEMPT To Follow In His Tax-Dodging Footsteps…

Tax cheats beware — “former” tax cheat, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner is coming after you now that he was forced to pay his own tens of thousands of dollars in back taxes as a prerequisite to joining Team Obama. And it sounds like he’s dead serious about his new goal, too — not much unlike your typical former smoker who becomes the most annoying “cigarette nazi” in the room, “The Geithster” now cannot STAND a freaking tax cheat when he sees one and it’s time to put a stop to it by golly.

While these little “snips” are directly from the Fair And Balanced ever-so-slightly-right-of-center Fox News site, it’s suprisingly entertaining:

“The pot has issued the kettle an ultimatum: tax dodgers beware.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, who was forced to fork up $34,000 in unpaid back taxes, told the House Ways and Means Committee Tuesday that the Obama administration will be going after people who avoid and evade taxes. …”

(Snip!)

“… Geithner himself never used a tax haven to avoid payment, but did neglect to pay Medicare and Social Security taxes while he was a self-employed staffer for the International Monetary Fund. …”

(Snip!)

“… “Over the next several months,” he said Tuesday, “the President will propose a series of legislative and enforcement measures to reduce such U.S. tax evasion and avoidance.” …

Now I think I can understand why President Obama made this surprise pick to “safeguard” our Treasury; it finally makes some sense to me. If one wishes to catch a “criminal”, one must learn to THINK like a criminal if one wishes to be successful, and in this sense, with President Obama apparently now prioritizing the busting of tax cheaters around the country, he’s obviously picked the right guy for the right job. And, to think I was scratching and shaking my head when he first announced the appointment of “The Geithster”.

Fact is, I simply DIDN’T think and I hate it when that happens.

If Obama could just get all the democrats and especially his cabinet appointees to PAY THEIR TAXES, he could balance the budget AND pay for the Porkulus spending plan.

Alright, J-Man! Looks like our commenting system is up and running again, thanks to yer “heads up”. I’ve been wondering why there haven’t been any comment luv lately :-)

Oh, I agree, on the other hand, I’m fairly POSITIVE there are plenty of tax cheats on the “Right” as well ;-)

No doubt there are, however, tax cheats on the right are severely prosecuted while tax cheats on the left are appointed to the Cabinet and put in charge of the Treasury… hmmmm…

LMFAO @ that one, bro!!! I have no rebuttal :-)

This is typical of the capons on both sides “Do as I say, not as I do.” Kind of like Lincoln saying in the mid- and late 1850s that the states had the right, and almost duty, of rebellion when the federal government overstepped, but then threw the Constitution out the window to put it down when some states took him up on it a few years later. Or the anti-civil rights crowd who think firearms are bad, except the ones they own and carry.
