Rush Limbaugh And Michael Steele Trade Punches As “The Party Of Lincoln” Unravels Before Our Very Eyes…
As most of us already know, there’s a realA day or three ago at the CPAC Conference, Rush Limbaugh attempted to defend his “I want Barack Obama To FAIL!” comment by using his now-famous Superbowl analogy (Fox News). Paraphrased, it went something like this — “In the last 30 seconds of the Superbowl, I wanted Kurt Warner to not only fail but make a complete ASS out of himself so the Pittsburgh Steelers would win!” (crowd goes WILD). And, believe it or not, a bunch of people actually fell for it despite the fact this analogy goes against anything I’ve ever heard Rush Limbaugh preach in defense of his unregulated, free-market, capitalistic, utopic society.
It seems to me, Limbaugh has always been all about one pulling one’s self out of the ghetto by one’s bootstraps, not stepping on the shoe laces of somebody else just to get ahead. If he truly believes in unregulated economics is “THE answer”, then what happened to the man’s confidence in his own ideology? He doesn’t need to CHEER for the failure of liberalism, he merely needs to support and pray for the president, then sit back and wait for his “Utopia” to come back — no FAILURE needed from the other side; only victory from HIS, correct?
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I saw this original statement against President Obama and his subsequent attempt to use a football game to excuse himself as a prime example of the same hypocrisy he voiced when he referred to that “OTHER half” of the military who doesn’t agree with him as “phony soldiers“. Ah, but I’ve gotten a bit off-track here. My humblest apologies.
Next up — Michael Steel, the Chairmain of the Republican National Committee (“RNC”), briefly snaps out of his “We must ban assault weapons” trance then steps up to blast Limbaugh’s comments he uttered at the CPAC by likening him to nothing more than the “ugly” and “incendiary” “entertainer” he really is when it gets down to it (HuffPo). The draft-dodger didn’t appreciate the remarks and he punished Mr. Steele by telling his “dittoheads” the RNC Chairman needs to learn who is REALLY in charge and his first step toward that process should be to “pipe down and recognize that he’s not a talking head media star” (The Politico again) like HE is. What happens next reminds me of the time when Vice President President Dick “Shotgun” Cheney shot a lawyer in the face while hunting after a few too many “brewskis” then the victim apologizes to the Cheneys just hours later. Can we say “déjà vu”?
Steele to Rush: I’m sorry
By MIKE ALLEN
“… I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh,” Steele said in a telephone interview. “I was maybe a little bit inarticulate. … There was no attempt on my part to diminish his voice or his leadership.” … — The Politico
Wow. So, there’s our answer to the question, “Who’s the REAL leader of the G.O.P.?”. The answer IS — the draft-dodger’s DITTOHEADS, because without them, Rush Limbaugh, my fellow college dropout, would have to get a REAL job and that’s that.
Good luck, my friends from the right. I sincerely do hope thee heal thyselves SOON because without a healthy right-wing, the Eagle will continue to fly around and around in circles till she drops.

I’ve never been in the military, but I’m going to pretend I have because dem’s all seem to agree that it is OK for a democrat to do it, so it must be OK for me to do it too.
When I was in Iraq, every single civilian I met had nothing but high praises for George Bush and the U.S. military. They were extremely thankful for all we had done for them. Anyone who says otherwise is full of it. I was there, I saw it happen…
Now some, like Rush Limbaugh for example, might call me a “phony soldier” since I never served. In spite of that, however, I am sure all the liberals will defend what I said. Further, they will rebuke whoever calls me a phony soldier, just like they continue to rebuke Rush Limbaugh for calling Jesse Macbeth a phony soldier.
(BTW Jesse Adam Macbeth was convicted (plead guilty) of falsifying his military record and he served 5 months in prison for doing so. Not that THAT was ever reported by the MSM.)
Jesse Macbeth, in fact, could be the very definition of PHONY Soldier.
Rush Limbaugh NEVER called anyone who disagreed with him, or any soldier who was a liberal a PHONY Soldier. His phony soldier comment was made about Jesse Macbeth and those like him who PRETEND to be soldiers, but are not.
Why does the left keep trying to dredge up this old story which has been proven to be wholly Inaccurate dozens of times???
Is the liberal argument SO WEAK that they have nothing else???
Are liberals so weak that they have nothing Positive to say about their own, so all they can do is try to attack others???
Clearly, it would seem so.
When I was over there (“The Desert”), I was listening to Rush Limbaugh one day (only because I’m a talk radio freak and the only two talk show hosts who were “authorized” for download to our iPods were him and Hannity) when somebody called in and told Rush he didn’t have a clue about what was happening in Iraq and he identified himself as a troop who had served in–country and he also bashed the Bush Iraq policy. Limbaugh quickly muted/disconnected the man and called him a liar and a phony saying he was obviously an imposter because he’d never heard that kind of talk from a ‘real’ soldier who’d served in Iraq. I, of course, was LIVID and for good reason.
True story
At least the RNC is finally catching on to what I’ve been tellin’ y’all for several weeks – the whole Rush thing, as well as many other democrat antics, is just a distraction to keep the focus OFF of Obama’s Socialist Agenda.
Anticipate a major shift in direction from the republicans.
