Republicans On Capitol Hill Want GPS Devices Installed On Every Automobile And Two Years Of Your Internets Surfing History On File As They Attempt To Boost Their Popularity With Young Minority Groups
Yeah, that’s the way you reel in those “potential” minority voters there, Mr. (ahem… RNC Chairman) Michael Steele — you know, that potentially new “Grand Old Party Hip-Hop” base you said you were going after yesterday with the “New Grand Old Party message” (or whatever he was talking about) by explaining to them guns are okay as long as they aren’t “scary looking” assault rifles because, hey — some people like to hunt and that should be their God-granted civil liberty under the U.S. Constitution. Yeah, that’s going to go over REAL well with those young “peeps” who believe in their Right To Keep And Bear Arms (“RTKBA”) via concealed carry for personal protection. How about — like flatulence in a House of God?Then, you’ve got your “rogue” outliers on Capitol Hill in both the House and the Senate who believe installing GPS devices on every automobile in order to track one’s mileage so the gasoline taxes one pays are directly proportional to the miles one drives “cruises” versus how many gallons one pumps into one’s tank. Mr. Steele — do you see the disconnect here yet? Young “peeps” of any race like to “cruise” for “action”, “hunks”, “chicks”, or whatever slang the young’n's you’re hoping to win over are using these days. See the above paragraph and then see this one and perhaps you’ll see the brick wall you’re going to be running into during your “young peeps in da’ hood” recruiting efforts for the Republican Party. Let us recap thus far — Mr. Steel’s “Grand New Party” is going after the youngsters to boost the G.N.P. ranks by saying “You’ll be paying more taxes when you rack up the mileage cruising for ‘tang and we’re going to be tracking your journeys via the use of MANDATORY Global Positioning Systems.” “And, we could really use your help in our mission.” Unfortunately, the MUCH more “hip” President Obama stands in the way of Mr. Steele by “just saying NO!!!” to that idea (Fox News).
OOPS. How about — “Ain’t gonna fly”, Mr. Steele? I’d hate to be you right now. The Grand New Old Party is in shambles right now. Sadly, even THIS “Lib” believes the Eagle needs both a Left and Right wing to fly. No wonder marijuana’s popularity rating is MUCH higher than the G.O.P.’s these days (Daily Kos).
But hey — guess what? This even gets worse for Mr. Steele. The “Grand New [?] Party” of the gun-grabbing RNC head, Michael Steele, is pushing for a new law to track EVERYBODY’s Internets and WiFi useage for no less than TWO YEARS (CNET). Sounds like a message sure to resonate throughout “da hoods”. Recap numero dos: “Join the Republican Party because, hey — we’ve got the word PARTY (you can even say “Par-TAY” if you wish) in our acronym, PLUS, you’ll be making the world around you safer because you’ll have to pay extra taxes for cruising, you’ll be tracked everywhere you go via GPS, PLUS, those pornography sites you visit will stay on record for no less than two years. Welcome aboard, kind Sir/Ma’am!”
I swear, I should create a new category called “I don’t THINK so!” to file this one under…

What’s Up With The G.O.P. And Its Anti-Privacy Fetish Anyway? // Feb 21, 2009 at 1:35 AM

I remember when the Republicans were the party of small government, state’s rights, and limited interference. Some of the ideas proffered by their elected officials are laughable, some, like these, reek of police state.
Freedom at the expense of liberty is not freedom. I wish the Republicans would remember this.
Steve…I think when Republicans think “small government” they are talking about themselves, families and friends… & the rest of the bottom feeders…they give off this air of “Well who gives a F”!
I can’t wait for Fox to jump all over this issue…ummm yeah.
in other words…anyone “outside” their circle (bottom feeders/american people) they obviously are out of touch with and “well, who gives F”"! is their attitude.
OH GTL…how bout this….I’ll meet these F*cks half way…as long as “We the American Peeps” can TRACK/MONITER what THEY DO in real time i.e. where they spend their money…where they are driving, which strip bars they go to…how many misters/mistresses they’ve got, when they are slacking on the job…how many kids they want to fundle and play with online…(I’m not naming names but ya know!)…I can go and on…but I think you get my point…the American People need to track THEIR GOP (and some Dem) ASSES!
Bass Ackwards!
in other words…we need to track the same as*holes that want to push this crap into law.
keep it goin bro…lata and thanks for posting this Orson Wells 1984 BS!
Peace
GPS in my car, I don’t think so. Go ahead and start that category, GTL, because I think we are going to need it.
Ditto on the web tracking. We’re already tracked too much, way too much. Of course they are gong to use protecting children as an excuse for passing this police state legislation. Who can be against protecting children, right. JUst manage to forget that this is being promoted by the same party who voted against health care for children and calls killing children during war, acceptable collateral damage and voted against expanding food stamp coverage. Can’t have socialism now can we, the children will just have to suffer since their parents aren’t supporting them.
I don’t even own a GPS as I would rather be lost than ONSTAR. “out of my cold dead hands….”.
AMEN, AMEN, AMEN and AMEN, brothers and sister!!! Thanks for your input — as always: appreciated and GREAT!
The communist/socialist elements in this country are winning. They have all of you (and so many others) on a witch hunt while our economy is in freefall. Do you somehow, someway believe that under a socialist government you will retain any of your rights, any of your freedoms???
Wake up people. The republicans in this country no more want to limit freedom than anyone else. That is a ridiculous idea. It isn’t republicans who will limit your freedom, it is the communist and socialist forms of government that smother all freedom and liberty. It isn’t the party’s that are the problem – it is the people who are in control of them.
Rome is burning, and you’re all still playing your little partisan fiddles. By the time you realize what is happening, it will be gone.
They have gone and lost their minds! They have been bipartisaned! (Darn spelling) Arm DC citizens, let congress meet in the ghettos of DC. The GOP happened a long time ago. The floor needs sweeping
It is sad that of all possible scenarios, the U.S. will die from ignorance and complacency.
Prohibition came out and my Grandfather was a bootlegger for years. When it was repealed he opened up five liquor stores the very next day. I think I should follow in his footsteps and be an internet bootlegger. Free whiskey with every click on my advertisers!!! All clicks must be done so in the form of a brown paper bag though. For your protection of course.
FandB…Do you think there truly is a “Powers that be” that you feel have been controlling both parties like it’s a puppet show?”
Not at all Springer. The dem’s and republicans are what they are. If all the political forms that exist today represent a line 10 feet long, the dem’s and republicans are in the middle about 6 inches apart. Obama and his cronies really aren’t democrats, they’re socialists. The country is about to take a 6 foot jump to the left. Obama isn’t trying to jump start the economy, he is using the current situation to push his socialist agenda.
Personal liberty will be a thing of the past. All the liberals who whined so much about the changes President Bush made haven’t seen anything yet.
Gotcha…we shall see. As for now, this Anti-Internet crap being pushed by the GOP and a few DEMS and is BS and there is nothing mysterious about it…not even a prediction or a “wait and see”. Ultimate Michael Steel BS.
