Scheme RIGHT
Hold up — I need to amend that sub-headline and right NOW. For a moment there, I almost forgot about the plight of my own former governor of my adopted home state, the Great State of Alabama, Don Siegelman, who was ALSO wrongfully held accountable for using his office for personal and financial gain — the “right” of ANY governor, senator, mayor or congressperson — for his involvement in “Bidness As Usual” with former Healthsouth C.E.O., Richard Scrushy. Yes, there are other “public servants” in high places as well whom have been wrongfully pursued for what average American COMMONERS assume to be “crimes”, but the most recent victims to come to memory are Rod, A.K.A., “Blago; A.K.A., “The Cabbage Patch Kid” Blagojevich and of course, Don “The Republicans Did This To Me” (Al.Com) Siegelman. VICTIMS, folks, and what is going on in Illinois right now should be considered to be nothing less than TREASON.
How DARE they impeach The Cabbage Patch Kid (Chicago Tribune) just because he auctioned off former Senator Barry “Steve” Obama’s vacant senate seat to the highest bidder — THE lawfully-appointed new “junior senator” and attempted murderer, Senator Roland Burris? My argument against the Illinois Congress and in favor of the “Pay-To-Play” scandal acts of The Cabbage Patch Kid are based upon one single, SOUND pricipal: The American Dream.
You see, many of my fellow peasants are quick to overlook the fact that we, too, can run for senate, congressional, gubernatorial, mayorial and even city council seats where we, too would be entitled to make a bunch of money under the table. To me, ALLEGED “illegal activity” by these fine folks and selfless selfish “public servants” SHOULD be prosecuted to the maximum extent of the law. That is, IF these folks DIDN’T play on a level playing field with the rest of us. My point: if YOU don’t like watching public servants such as Don Weaselman and The Cabbage Patch Kid abusing rightfully taking advantage of their “elite” priviledges, RUN AGAINST THEM AND DEFEAT THEM AT THE VOTING BOOTHS. Thanks to the valiant efforts of former G.O.P. presidential hopeful and Arizona Panamanian Senator, Señor Juan Sidney McCain and his buddy, Senator Russ Feingold, the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform legislation has successfully taken the “dirty money” out of politics, which means ANY of us can succesfully run for and WIN these offices, even we COMMONERS.
The Congressfolks of The Great State Of Illinois need to revoke The Cabbage Patch Kid’s impeachment IMMEDIATLY and stop picking on him and his favorite new “freshman senator” and (perhaps?) fellow attempted murderer NOW. Stop the jealousy and run for the governorship; run for congress; run for the senate; run for the mayorial seat; whatever — but for God’s Sake, stop the WHINING.
