Caroline Kennedy Petitions Governor And Other “Who’s Who In New Yawk’s” To Be Royally Appointed To Her Birthright: Sir Hillary Rodham Clinton’s Senate Seat
Let’s see — it’s hard to track how many Kennedys are serving on Capitol Hill in the Hallowed Halls of Congress at any given time, but the last I heard, we’ve got a grand total of two. Add one more (that’d be Caroline) to the Senate and that would make for a grand total of THREE Kennedys “serving” We, The People, and if you ask MOI (and again — YEP — part French and unapologetic for it), three Kennedys is 1.5 times better than just having two of them at any given time. If you don’t wish to take that math for granted, just take three and divide it by two and see for yourself.
And folks, who better to assume The Royal Throne abandoned by Her (other) Royal Highness, Sir Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton The First than a descendent of (I assume) Christopher Columbus, Thomas Jefferson, Paul Revere, Abraham Lincoln, and ARGUABLY, President John F. Kennedy himself — a long line of heroes to say the very least. And don’t forget the fact that Kennedy’s are not ELECTED, they are APPOINTED and are OWED their thrones for some reason nobody has ever really explained to me, but that’s just the way it is in these United States and has been since long before we befriended the American Indians then wiped out their (“our” since I’m also Cherokee) tribes.
I know, you all probably believe I’m making all of this up but I assure you, I’m NOT, but I couldn’t blame you if you don’t believe me since I do tend to print a lot of misinformation on these pages from time to time. Allow me to share a couple of “snips” from today’s New York Times article written by Nicholas The Confessor Nicholas Confessore:
Caroline Kennedy to Seek Clinton’s Senate Seat
Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of an American political dynasty, has decided to pursue the United States Senate seat being vacated by Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York, a person told of her decision said on Monday.
The decision came after a series of deeply personal and political conversations, in which Ms. Kennedy, whom friends describe as unflashy but determined, wrestled with whether to give up what has been a lifetime of avoiding the spotlight.
Ms. Kennedy will ask Gov. David A. Paterson of New York to consider her for the appointment… ”
(Snip!)
“… Ms. Kennedy’s decision is likely to have a major impact on the governor’s considerations as he mulls who should succeed Mrs. Clinton. Already, some other Democrats have pointedly questioned her credentials for the job. United States Representative Gary Ackerman, a Queens Democrat, said last week that he did not know what Ms. Kennedy’s qualifications were, “except that she has name recognition — but so does J. Lo.” …
Okay, good point — “… so does J. Lo.“.
But — yannow? The so-called “pros” have been selling us down the river for decades and have managed to turn this once proud Democratic Republic into a freaking OLIGARCHY where the “gub’mint” is buying our financial institutions and auto makers, so I’m not so impressed by the ole’ “experience” thing anymore. Give an amateur a try, I say. PLUS — don’t forget the DNA.

Other bloggers weigh in…
“… frankly, it could be refreshing to have somebody who hasn’t been a diehard political operative in that seat. …”
“… God bless the ruling elite. …”
“We really should consider setting aside a permanent seat for the Kennedys… “
“Caroline and Hillary are really hot!! Not as sexy as Babs Bush, but HOT!!”

I don’t know if she’d do a good job, and I don’t know if she’d do a bad job. I do know that I don’t like dynasty politics, and I don’t care what side of the aisle they come from.

I agree with JollyRoger, whose position seems to match what I read at the Daily Dish today.
I didn’t think Hillary should have been elected to that position, and I don’t think Caroline should be.
