Gub’nor Bill “Lopez” One Clintonista Appointee THIS Blogger Is Glad To See On The Obama-”O” Biden Team…
That’s right, Señor Lopez, New Mexico’s Governor and former Obama rival for the Democratic presidential nomination (I was sorry to see him call it “quits”, frankly), gets my FULL endorsement in an Obama cabinet. While I’d rather see him be appointed to the Secretary of State position over John McCain’s vodka contest buddette, Sir Hillary Rodham Clinton, I’m just glad to see the man will be an integral part of the Obama-”O” Biden Administration.
For one, the man is a TRUE “Liberal”; one who believes in the Right To Keep And Bear Arms and has been endorsed over his G.O.P. rivals by the NRA on more than one occasion. For another, he has a long history of being a great negotiator (Source: Yahoo! News / AP) with experience in the Clinton-Clinton-First-Black-Co-Presidency (Sorry, Barry — they were first) by serving in the capacity as the United Nations Ambassador, then later, the Clinton-Clinton Energy Secretary. Why his presidential run wasn’t SERIOUSLY considered in 2008 will always be way beyond me, but it is what it is and I’ll take this crumb and savor it.
I’m telling you right NOW, this nomination of Señor Bill Lopez [Richardson] for the new Obama -”O” Biden cabinet is one of the FEW bright moments I’ve seen since President Elect Barry Steve started picking his cabinet henchmen and women and I applaud him for it.
Who’s next, Mr. President-Elect? Please, PLEASE say Senator James Webb is next up.

I’d rather see him for Homeland Security, but it is a first step.

i’m not sure that someone that would basically just open up our borders would be the choice I would make for homeland security Joe, but thats not the point here is it i guess. otherwise i would agree. considering the situation, about as good as conservatives could hope for in this position.

Nahhhhh…….. I’d much rather see Jim Webb stay in the Senate. You park people in the cabinet who are at the ends of their political careers. I expect bigger things from Webb, yet. Maybe Later in BHO’s 2nd term he could take over Defense as a prep for a presidential run in 2016. Howabout that?

I’m glad that Bill Richardson is taking the position of Sec of Commerce. That seat may be more important in Obama’s adminstration that it has been in others. I was surprised that he didn’t get further in his primary run. Some of Obama’s appointments I’ve got a wait and see attitude on but not on Richardsons. I think he will hit the ground running.
