Texas Jury Speaks: Shotgun And Alberto Indicted For Abusing American Federal Prisoners
Any bets these two criminals earn a pardon from their “head honcho”, President Bush, before it’s all said and done with? A South Texas jury, according to The Associated Press (Source: Houston Chronicle), has INDICTED the vice president and Señor “I Hate Porn And Freedom“, Alberto Gonzales for abusing their offices and power for both financial and personal gain by exploiting federal prisoners and abusing them in order to make a nice “buck or two” under the proverbial “table”.
Like many who’ve followed The recent O.J. Simpson saga, even though the potential punishment doesn’t even come close to fitting the [ahem... "alleged"] crimes these two neocon BOZOS should REALLY be facing, in the end; at least one can say “the heat is on” in the case of Gonzales and Cheney — the latter, of course, being not only a typical white collar criminal, but was able to dodge the proverbial “bullet” when he drunkenly shot a fellow lawyer in the face and made HIM apologize for getting in the way of this INCREDIBLY IRRESPONSIBLE GUN OWNER’s wavering shotgun sites.
If you bothered to click on the aforementioned AP article, you’d have learned the South Texas jurorists indicted The Vampire the vice president on CRIMINAL charges stemming from making money through some sort of a hedgefund designed to abuse and torture federal prisoners and his pal “Gonzo” for — what else? — OBSTRUCTING federal investigations into The Veep’s [again... "alleged"] high crimes and misdemeanors. Gotta give ‘em both credit, because, again — COUNT of our Lame Duck President Bush to bail his fellow criminals out of any sort of a legal mess this whole fiasco might lead to — in other words, the only CHANCE we might have to see this trio behind bars is via International law and many, MANY of my fellow Americans share my point of view that justice just MIGHT be served the day they are sentenced for and held accountable by, The Hague for their [Pssst -- again -- "alleged"] war crimes. I don’t know about you, but I haven’t seen too many “pardons” going on over there lately; correct me if I’m wrong, which I, of course, frequently AM.
Since the Associated Press seems to have this “ego thing” going on when it comes to we bloggers quoting parts and “snippets” of their articles (Just ask Drudge Retort’s Rogers Cadenhead on that one, folks), let us turn to The Brownsville Herald for some “quoteable quotes“, shall we?
Vice President Cheney indicted by Willacy County grand jury
By Emma Perez-Trevino, The Brownsville Herald
A Willacy County grand jury under District Attorney Juan Angel Guerra returned multi-count indictments Monday against Vice President Dick Cheney, former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, plus several other public officials.
The indictment accuses Cheney and Gonzales of engaging in organized criminal activity. It criticizes Cheney’s investment in the Vanguard Group, which holds interests in the private prison companies running the federal detention centers. It accuses Cheney of a conflict of interest and “at least misdemeanor assaults” on detainees by working through the prison companies.
Gonzales is accused of using his position while in office to stop an investigation into abuses at the federal detention centers. …”
If there is ANYTHING I believe the RICO Act serves a purpose for, folks — it’s THIS. Dust it off and don’t just dig deeper into those investigations in the Eastern Wing of the White House — PUHLEEZ expand them to the Western Wing as well, and don’t stop until some VERY powerful and famous politicians are behind the bars they deserve to be looking through as they slide their rice, soup and bread meals through those tiny little openings.

Cheney …
by D. Cupples| No, I don’t think that indictments are humorous. And yet, I could not help chuckling as I read an article in the Brownsville Herald, which states:A Willacy County grand jury under District Attorney Juan Angel Guerra returned multi-count…

This amazes me, especially coming out of Texas. I wonder how long Bush will wait before he does his pardons? Probably right before midnight on the 19th of January. But what really amazes me is that so many people still don’t see anything wrong with the fact that our government tortured prisoners.

Yaaaaaahhh! How ’bout them apples, eh?! Who would have thought an indictment would come out of Texas – after all Shrub will be back there soon ’nuff & lookin’ for some trouble, maybe, before leaving for Paraguay ranch, heh heh.
What really bothers me about this whole thing is Cheney’s business interests/holdings in private federal detention centers! As some of you may know, the prison cottage industry has been growing over the last decade or so. Prisons are now privately-owned as well as state run. Problem is, they’re run as a business, meaning they have a certain number of “beds” to fill in order to make a profit. This means law enforcement officials must roam back and forth over the lands looking for more and more people to throw into prisons. Meaning more stupid laws need to be enacted so nearly everyone is in the process of breaking a law every minute making the LEO’s jobs easier to find potential prisoners. Now doesn’t it also make you wonder who else in gubermint might have business interest/holdings in private prisons, i.e. Dept. of Justice, God forbid! More and more private sector/gubermint partnerships are being formed which is definitely a conflict in interest and not in the best interest of the public. (/rant) Thanks for indulging me, GTL!

Oh, and I forgot to address the possibility of last minute pardons being doled out to the Legion of Luciferians by our favorite desert Shrub. Apparently, according to Judge Andrew Napolitano, senior Judicial Analyst on FOXNews, desert Shrub cannot issue blanket pardons to everyone who wielded pliers. Why? you might be asking *grin* Because you’ve got to name them. You can’t pardon someone without naming them, sayeth sage Napolitano. However, Pardon Power, a blog run by presidential pardon experts, disagrees, citing the naming of those pardoned refer to common law that insisted the King of England name pardon recipients, and does not apply to the United States. Thus sayeth “Mega Turbo Inter-Galactic Senior Legal Analyst Extraordinaire.” Well, well, we shall see, won’t we?

GTL: “justice just MIGHT be served the day they are sentenced for and held accountable by, The Hague for their [Pssst -- again -- "alleged"] war crimes.” – I am very curious GTL, exactly what have President Bush and Dick Cheney done that you would classify as war crimes???
The day that this country turns over one of its Presidents to answer for alleged “war crimes” to anyone anywhere other than the American people will be the day the Revolution begins.
Luckily it is sheer speculation on your part. Even Pelosi and D’Oh-bama, as stupid as they are, have enough sense not to try to pull something like that. But if it ever were to happen, that date would be remembered forever.

I fully agree with GTL.
fadb, so you don’t believe in justice? or International fair play? International law isn’t something that depends much on wether one believe in it or not, it is a reality, and the rest of the world wants justice. You better want accountability for war crimes done by ANYONE ANYWHERE for the sake of your own security. In your opinion, does only America decide what is justice in the international realm?

sounds to me like it would depend on what one considered torturous and what would be considered interogation. Frankly, show me a video of cheney bush and rumsfeld standing over someones beheaded body reading their manifesto and i might start worrying more about the conditions prisoners face at gitmo, until then im not going to worry too much about whether terrorists get heated rooms, or plenty of sleep.

I would agree. Lets exectue them all…..STart with Bush and Chenny, and lets not stop till we’ve done Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton and Chuck Hagel and every frickin one of the 76 senators who voted for the war.
Lets go after the 300 plus house members who voted for the war as well. Lets not stop there. Lets execute every house and senate member who voted to CONTINUE funding the war since it was started illegally by a president and congress of the United STates.
Lets all beat our wives and husbands with sticks and stones if they ever flew the flag, uttered a word of support and dared think them damn Mooselims were evile.
Lets kick the dog, beat the cat and pour hot water into the fish tank. Maybe after weve beaten ourselves senseless and gotten retribution for our sins we will feel better.
Then again maybe not. I have said for a couple years now that the antiwar crowd doesnt want an end to the war. They love war. It gives them purpose in life. They do not want justice. They want a recokoning.
And so it will go. Perhaps public hangings should return.

The Geneva Conventions apply to signatory nations. Al Qaeda, terrorists in general, Taliban, etc. are not signatories to the Geneva Conventions and therefore they do not apply. The U.S. is not obligated to abide by the Geneva Conventions when confronting non-signatory nations.
I can find many, many more “google search” entries that proclaim Obama to be the anti-christ, or that explain why he is not a U.S. citizen. So if your google list is valid for Cheney, then my google list is valid for Obama. Right?

Gonzales better watch out for those prison rules!

heh… yessir — I do my own photoshops
And I do believe Dick has been the “dominant one” on Capitol Hill for no less than eight years so why would the “clink” be any different for the man?
