THIS Blogger Says “AMEN!”, And Flush That HSA Beaurocracy Of Lame Duck (Soon To Be) FORMER President Bush He Heads Down The Toilet ASAP As Well…
Sorry, King Joe — it’s not looking too good for you right at this very moment (Source: Think Progress) as the Dems who’ve put up with your RINO/DINO derrieré for the last few years in the wake of our military troops’ SUCCESSFULLY and COMPETENTLY enforced ramming of an exclamation point on Iraq’s breach of the “Gulf I” cease fire agreement known as United Nations Article 1441 (legally, too, by the way) have become “sick up and fed” of your pro-Bush, pro-Cheney, pro-NEOCONSERVATIVE behavior ever since then.
Upon our troops’ succesful handover of Saddam Hussein to his people to pay for his crimes against humanity and the Iraqi people, we won the frigging WAR. At that point, the “war” was over — period, and perhaps, you should have taken a hard look at the man in the mirror instead of enjoying your celebrity, mostly courtesy of the “Sean Hannity‘s” and “Rush Limbaugh‘s” out there who’ve been applauding you and equating you to a “fellow war hawk rock star” ever since. But you didn’t.
You not only continued to join the ranks of all of the above, you continued to berate our troops by suggesting their CLEAR VICTORY in enforcing UN Article 1441 FAR from “over” until President Bush and his sidekick, Dick “Shotgun” Cheney AGREED our troops had victoriously won the temporarily-halted war. You just couldn’t shut your mouth. You just couldn’t help yourself from glancing over the GOP talking points each day, professing to be a “troop supporter” while blatantly failing to recognize their clear victory once Saddam was incarcerated and handed over to his own people for judgment. NOPE — like the broken record you are, you have CONTINUED to suggest our military’s and nation’s FINEST will be “losers” if they don’t continue down the Bush-Cheney-established path of cementing your mutually-beneficial “Big Oil And Nation Buildin’ Bidness” over there.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again — TICKER-TAPE PARADES should have greeted our Coalition Forces and our own American Troops (as they arrived home) within hours following that fateful day Saddam was pulled out of his hole in the ground. That was the day the terms of Saddam’s violation of our ceasefire agreement had been avenged. That was the day “Jumpin’ Joe Lieberman”, like THIS Liberal blogger had, should have joined him in railing LOUDLY against the Bush-Cheney “Big Oil And Nation Buildin’ Bidness” plan despite the U.N.’s reluctant willingness take over the security of the newly-formed, Middle Eastern democracy.
But, Senator Lieberman — I’ll agree these are simply nothing more than personal points of view — arguable ones at that, especially when it comes to the (mis)handling of your Chairmanship over the Department of Homeland Security. What is quite unarguable is the fact that you and your White House buddies and buddettes shouldn’t have established a brand-new, beaurocratic layer of “gub’mint” called “The Department Of Homeland Security” in the FIRST place; at least not without the permission of We, The People, in THIS blogger’s not-so-humble opinion.
In closing, I say SCREW your coveted chair and SCREW your coveted, illegal, 4th Amendment despising bureau. I say go Republican and STAY there. And as a Republican, my hope would be that you would join centuries-old Republican-held ideals and DESTROY the Department of Homeland Security in which you Chair; particularly since you have about twenty-four hours left to do so. And that, Senator Lieberman, would be what I’d call a REAL “USA Patriot Act”. Not that I’m holding my breath on that one…
So, in which case, I feel it is my duty to say “Good Bye” and “Good Riddance“, Sir.

Yeah, how DARE he not follow the party line and use his own judgement. Hell, let’s just let the 99 others go and just keep Harry?
Gee, why don’t you stop pulling punches and tell us how you REALLY feel?
Exactly, Joe! J/K, bro
I think Obama can carry forgiveness too far and especially in the case of Joe Liberman. He wanted to be the Repub vice-president and I hope his fellow Senators give him the chance. 2012: Palin/Liberman. Now wouldn’t that be a pair.
The Patriot Act needs to be abolished, especially since most of the congresspeople who voted for it admitted that they had not read it before voting. The Act, like the Paulson/Bush bailout, we were told was something that had to be done immediately without thought or planning.
although I have essentially disagreed with liebermans politics, i’m glad he retained his chairmanship, right or wrong left or right he has the biggest set of cojones in politics
congratulations Joe
he was wrong
If all the senators took a page from Liberman’s playbook and voted their conscience, and according to the will of the people they supposedly represent, the laws and decisions coming from the senate would probably look quite different. And maybe they could get their approval rating back up into double-digits.
Gaia’s comment; “the Paulson/Bush bailout” is hysterical – if the bailout had already started to work I’m sure it would have been called the “Pelosi/Reid bailout.”
LOL
Of course, it has yet to bear fruit but may well do so in the near future. It will be interesting to see what Gaia calls the bailout plan if/when it becomes successful.
And further; “we were told was something that had to be done immediately without thought or planning” – and so you went ahead and did it??? What kind of malfeasance is that? Whether you think the plan is right or wrong, you should come to that conclusion on your own, not because someone from the OTHER party told you what to think.
If people want to blame the other party for everything wrong with the world, that’s fine. But don’t blame them for they way you voted. If a congressperson voted in favor of the Patriot Act, that’s a choice they made. And if they did so without a full understanding of what they were voting for, that is… well… Sub-human.
No, that is dereliction of duty. They all should be fired.
I’m with you Joe.
The elitist illuminati let him back in, which is bad for the GOP, because this flip flopper is going to flip.
GTL said it all.
Fandb, didn’t you say in another post that the thing about liberals is that they like to look the other way when one of theirs is ‘felonous’?
Yeah, what’s your point Stellar?
