Folks, The Straight Talk Express We Have All Been Waiting For Has Finally Arrived — In A Stunning Washington Times Exclusive, Palin’s Sidekick Takes Personal Responsibility For Failed Bush Policies He Supported…
Al-Qaeda And UBL’s favorite presidential hopeful, Arizonan Panamanian Senator Juan Sidney McCain has finally taken off the gloves in his fight against Barry Obama, President “Surge” W. Bush and himself. Yep, that’s right — the “Straight Talk Express” America has hoped and prayed to see has finally arrived, folks.
In his Washington Times exclusive interview, Juan continuously uses the correct phrase “WE” as he addesses numerous failures both he and George have been collaboratively responsible for “masterminding” together over the years. Just what could our beloved, world-famous Panamanian Psychic be thinking?
Not that I’m even NARROWLY qualified to crawl inside of the brilliant mind of our favorite “war hero“, Panama Juan who barely graduated — fifth from the bottom in class rank, 894th out of 899, from the Naval Academy (Source: WikiPedia), but I can’t help but give it my best shot, if for no other reason than to make some sort of sense out of Señor McCain’s stunning admissions. I’m seriously starting to believe Marc Ambinder of The Atlantic might be stumbling onto something. Today, in a very thoughtful piece, Marc ponders whether or not Sarah Barracuda Palin is attempting more to set herself up for a 2012 presidency than a 2009 veep seat.
A “snip” or two from the Ambinder article — read the entire piece:
Palin In 2012: The Argument
There’s a suspicion in some McCain loyalist precincts that Gov. Sarah Palin is beginning to play the Republican base against John McCain — McCain won’t let her campaign in Michigan…McCain won’t let her bring up Jeremiah Wright… McCain doesn’t like her terrorist pal talks….
Think ahead to 2010…2011…2012.
Palin is ambitious. Very ambitious.
And if she wants the job, she’s easily the frontrunner to become THE voice of the angry Right in the Wilderness. She is a favorite of talk radio and Fox News conservatives, and speaks their language as only a true member of the club can. (Her recent Limbaugh interview was full of dog whistles that any Dittohead would recognize. Including her actual use of the word ditto.) …”
(Snip!)
“… With Republicans completely out of power, and President Obama running what is likely to be a bigger government that spends more on social programs, Republicans are likely to run the most anti-government, anti-Washington campaign this side of Barry Goldwater. Again, Palin is perfectly positioned for this campaign.
Republicans tend to pick the next guy in line. Strangely enough, the next guy in line is now Sarah Palin… “
When I first read that (entire) piece, I thought to myself, “Naww, not sweet lil’ ole’ Sarah Barracuda Heath Palin, my former classmate from Wasilla, Alaska — she’d NEVER do such a thing“. And honestly, I do believe that to be the case deep down. But THEN, when I read the stunning Washington Times article where Juan Sidney Mac takes full responsibility for his absolute failure as a Republican politician, I see the full picture; Marc Ambinder only sees half of it thus far…
What’s happening in GOP-ville, I believe, is Panama Juan and Sarah Barracuda realize all hope is lost for a McCain-Palin victory of Obama “O” Biden in a few days; they’re done — put a fork in it (Source: Real Clear Politics). However; acting in the best interest of the Republican Party, both Palin and her sidekick, Señor McCain are acting together to mutually sabotage their own campaign so they can defeat Barry and Joey in realization they MIGHT just have a great chance if they simply reverse the ticket in 2012 — I.E. — “Palin-McCain“. American conservatives would enthusiastically embrace such a ticket and the evangelicals would most definitely experience that little “tingly feeling” in their loins.
It’s a brilliant strategy, Mr. Ambinder, and I’m pleased to help you figure out the REST of the story. It’s the least I can do for one of this blogger’s favorite bloggers.

Some of my other favorite blogger reax: Andrew Sullivan of The Daily Dish thinks the Palin-McCain plan for 2012 I’ve unearthed here today [my words; not Andy's] amounts to “Republican Suicide“; The Heretik; Kyle E. Moore of Comments From Left Field; Oliver Willis; Michael Boh of my twin brutha from anothuh muthah, Matthew O’Keefe’s Papamoka Straight Talk has the exact opposite take; Dr. Steven Taylor of PoliBlog says more, more, more; Drudge Retort (“Red Meat For Yellow Dogs“) lends further evidence my theory might be “spot on”

Please consider posting this video and passing it along, it’s amazing. It’s great at showing the distinction between MaCain and Obama in regards to the abortion issue. Please pass this along to everyone you know. We have to get McCain elected… E

Ernesto — I don’t think you GET IT. I’m sorta withya on this issue but you should read blogs long enough to get the perspective before you jump to conclusions and try to drum traffic up for your agenda. Not that I’m for Barry O-Bomber, but I’m clearly against Johnny Mac, so why in the hell would I help advocate a man who literally, went after our 1st Amendment Civil Liberties via his crappy McCain-Feingold and our sovereignty via his almost-as-crappy McCain-Kennedy sh#$???
For REAL, dood — I’ll let your SPAM link (since Juan Sidney Mac likes to spam, too) stand since all points of view are welcomed here, but you need to know what a doof you just made yourself by asking me to join you in advocating a HATER of our FIRST (not second, FIRST) Amendment in Panama John over all of the other 200 presidential candidates who are OFFICIALLY in this race against him and Barry.
Thanks to your post, hundreds of thousands of readers MIGHT just come to the assumption you read two or three headlines on every political blog out there and SPAM them based upon a 2 second “mental snapshot” that suggest they JUST might be on your side when it comes to the POTUS choice. In other words, you’re not doing yourself many favors here.
That said, welcome — and please take the time to sift through, read a bit more, and become a part of our VERY diverse community. Thanks.

I believe that I will ignore the first post but good for you for letting it stand. I don’t agree with it but even Ernesto has the right to freedom of speech.
Thank you, GTL, for the great links. I read both posts. McCain did say We at least once. Must have missed the part though where he admitted voting with Bush 90% of the time.
I tend to agree with Ambinder about Palin’s ambition. Even if she isn’t thinking about 2012 members of her cult definitey are. I live in a very small town in Red America and just a few days ago SARAH signs begin appearing in the yards. SARAH takes up about 95% of the sign and then at the very bottom, in very small letters, it says McCain – Palin.
I took the political test and I ended up just one line from you. Kind of cool being in the same box with Gandi.

Well logically I do not see Palin getting any where close to being a strong candidate but the Republicans seem to throw logic to the wind and the extreme right will be very angry by 2012.
Palin does have supporters but even some of the socially conservative Republicans I know believe she is dense.

It’s funny how everyone seems dead-set on not electing McCain, but NO ONE seems to be trying to elect Obama* (except maybe for ACORN).
Things just keep getting curiouser and curiouser…

sure and Bellevue must be looking good from the inside these days. All those nice mushroom clouds and crayon markers all over the walls if you truly believe what your saying.

Yep, no one is trying to elect Obama except his several thousand volunteers going door to door and manning his offices in 50 states. No one is trying to elect him except for the millions of small donors who have given him an unheard of war chest. He is standing alone except for the majority of newspapers endorsing him and, oh yes, the crossover Republicans such as Powell. Even Sarah was caught wearing a Democrat scarf.
But no one is trying to elect him.
Sorry, Fandb, it’s just that McCain/Palin give such good sound bites they’re irresistible. GTL couldn’t have nearly as much fun with Biden, who admits he suffers from foot in mouth disease.

Gaia – Even in your post, while attempting to counter my position, even you never said anything positive about Obama (the antichrist), and yet you managed to take a jab at Gov. Palin.
Face it, McCain also has his “several thousand volunteers going door to door” and “millions of small donors” plus a number of former government officials and cross-overs from the Clinton administration, etc. etc. etc.
While it is true that Obama has raised more money than McCain, Obama also broke his *word* that he would use public funding, as McCain has done which limits his fundraising drastically.
But it really doesn’t matter to the Obama-bots how much Obama (the antichrist) cheats or lies – they, and the media, give him a pass.
By the way, Obama was seen wearing a RED tie at one of his rallies this week. But no one reported it or talked about it. Gee, what a surprise, another PASS for Obama and a GOTCHA for Gov. Palin.
No wonder the democrats have become the party of hate.

McCain actually had a chance prior to the current economic melt down of the worlds financial markets. Now as a knee jerk reaction we are turning to a socialist candidate who wants to cut taxes but raise taxes on 5 percent. Those same 5 percent who are being beaten to death by a financial crisis of immense proportions.
Barak Obama is quite honestly clueless because he does indeed simply want to continue policies encouraged by the democrats under a gop leadership who said……….booyahh…lets all rape the tax payers. Democrats and Republicans alike.
Headline…..THE WHOLE WOLRD WANTS BARAK OBAMA. The world is melting down. Obama is the savior.
Conclusion. Perhaps if there is a god. Then there is a Satan.
If not. Either way we are going to get the wrong man for the job. The problem is that the GOP and McCain is worse then Obama.
This is bad. Bad for us all.
12:12 pm on October 25th, 2008 17
“Conclusion. Perhaps if there is a god. Then there is a Satan.” Your right. George Bush proved your point.
We can always keep George Bush in office for another 4 years so we can try to eliminate the poor class next. He did a great job eliminating middle class, allowing the rich to step on their backs. I can understand the Rich not wanting to be taxed anymore than they are BUT truly get they’ve had a MUCH easier time than what was once a “middle class” that is NO MORE. The world wants Barack because they are tired of policies of George Bush.
8:45 am on October 26th, 2008 18
what>?
your post is about as clueless as any I have seen in a long time. You presume that I agree with Bush or McCain because I do not bow in worship of Obama.
The facts are simple. The president does not pass laws. He does on enact legislation. The congress does. BUSH DID NOT DEREGULATE anything.
CONGRESS DID. The response it to always blame the President for anything. When Obama takes office and unemployment hits 8 percent. Millions lose their life savings and the turmoil is pretty bad. Whose fault will it be?
Obama’s. Why? Because the American voter really is stupid. I think they proved that by voting for Bush a second time.
11:53 am on October 26th, 2008 19
Fact, over the past 20-25 years there has been A BUSH in the middle of a financial scandal and had their hands in pushing for deregulation and assisting corporate CEO’s with big bailout compensation packages on their way out the door.
Greenschemes…I didn’t presume anything…I used your conclusion “Perhaps if there is a god. Then there is a Satan.” I said “Your right. George Bush proved your point.” So if I’m cluesless then your conclusion is clueless. The facts are also simple, George Bush was and is an IDIOT. Since Ron Paul will not make it, then hopefully, we’ll see IF your truely psychic or not.

Well good Im glad then that you recognize that its Congress who screwed your 401k and not GWB.

Greenschemes,
Your entitled to believe whatever you want. If in fact, you think Bush isn’t responsible for any of this mess then that’s your choice. So no, I don’t recognize anything. All I recognize is that I used your conclusion “Perhaps if there is a god. Then there is a Satan.” I said “Your right. George Bush proved your point. That’s the only thing I recognized.

I can hardly remember an election when I’ve waited so long to decide on my choice for President. One week from today, I’ll cast my vote for Sen. McCain, and here’s why:
1. MCCAIN SEEKS TO LIMIT ABORTION – Sen. Obama’s position may be called the “audacity of hopelessness.” He is out of step with his own running mate, Joe Biden, who in 2003 with 63 other senators voted to ban the practice of partial birth abortion. Under a President Obama, a Federal Freedom of Choice Act would increase the number of abortions performed annually, defying the “safe, legal, and rare” rhetoric that is often heard by abortion’s proponents. On the other hand, Sen. McCain has consistently voted to protect the unborn, the right to life prerequisite to all other rights that we enjoy in this country.
2. MCCAIN FAVORS CUTS IN MILITARY SPENDING – He has been very clear that we don’t need new weapons systems that cost billions, and would cut them from the bloated Pentagon defense budget. That money can be used elsewhere, perhaps to expand peaceful programs that are working, such as PEPFAR, the U.S. initiative against the spread of AIDS in Africa.
3. MCCAIN IS CORRECT ON IMMIGRATION AND GLOBAL WARMING. He seeks a path to citizenship for those who are living in the U.S. illegally, and wants to tighten border control. Also, he acknowledges the need for “Creation Care,” that we must take care of this earth, as God’s stewards, and this includes keeping the thermostat in-check.
4. MCCAIN WOULD MAKE THE GOVERNMENT LIVE WITHIN ITS MEANS. There is a huge disconnect between the average American who must carefully budget and Washington, that spends like there’s no tomorrow. We need a Dave Ramsey approach to federal spending! McCain has the record to show he’d stand-up to wasteful spending.
On these four issues, Sen. McCain is dead-on. Together, they tip my vote in his direction.
12:48 am on October 29th, 2008 24
That makes 1 vote
9:22 am on October 29th, 2008 25
Seriously, I think the polls must be skewed by the pollsters. The polls were showing Obama with a huge lead (which has narrowed recently to a virtual tie) but nearly everyone I talk to about the subject say they are voting for McCain. I think the media bias is showing again.
10:49 am on October 29th, 2008 26
I think the polls are skewed also. However, I was in Albuquerque (swing state)over the weekend and both McCain and Obama had their rally’s…about 1000 supporters showed up for McCain and over 45,000 showed up to support Obama. The next day Obama drew over 100,000 in Colorado(red swinging state)…does all this translate into votes is the real question. Obama can loose Ohio,PA and Florida and still win the election. McCain has to win all 3.
