A Show Of Hands For Those Whom Are Surprised Señor Panama John McCain’s Latest “Country First” Promise Ends Up Being An Empty One
That’s right; it was just YESTERDAY when the Elder[ly] “Statesman” from Arizona Panama by the name of Señor Juan Sidney McCain blustered about how it was time for he and Barry Obama to put aside their campaigns in order to bail out their fellow Americans Wall Street buddies. As an “act” (indeed!) to convince Americans he was for once in his life REALLY taking the moral highground by suspending ALL campaign operations until we fellow Americans his Wall Street buddies were properly bailed out of their self-made “hell” (Source: WSJ), then he dared Barry to do the same and even went as far as to suggest a delay of their first debate until a later time.
Barry said something to the order of “No-no-NO, Señor — don’t be a stinking piece of chicken excrement — I will be in Mississippi on Friday and so should you be. Besides, nobody in Washington needs any help from the guy who said our economy was “Fundamentally Sound” (Source: The HuffPo) just a a few short days ago… “Get down here NOW and explain yourself to me face-to-face and stop being Èl Coward-o” (paraphrazed to the best of my recollection, of course).
Meanwhile, our “hero”, Juan Sidney McCain did, indeed, pretend to suspend his campaign in his quest to at least APPEAR to put his countrymen and women Wall Street buddies FIRST. Only, he didn’t do that great a job of it — SUDDENLY, his running mate, Sarah Palin, started popping up from behind the shadows since her Panamanian boss’s “bold announcment”; anywhere from her appearance Katie Couric (Marc Ambinder has an interesting video “snip” HERE) to her impromptu (?) appearance at Ground Zero (Source: AP via Yahoo! News) where she re-affirmed her allegiance to the predictable neoconservative “Bush Doctrine” in order to eradicate that unconsionable military tactic we have come to know and define as “terror” under President King “Surge” W. Bush’s “lead”.
Oh, and about that campaign funding solicitation he promised to halt? Yep, he’s still actively soliciting funds on SeñorMcCainPaŕaÈlPresidenté.Com; never stopped, in fact. To be absolutely fair (as we always ARE on this site), Panama John DID blow off an appearance with David Letterman off just to make it “look good” (by the way, Andrew Sullivan of The Daily Dish reports that Letterman’s kind of TORQUED OFF about being used as a “prop” by Panama John), as if he had really intended to take the moral highground versus the APPEARANCE of doing so, but then, next thing you know, those factually-devoid campaign ads continue to run and never have stopped either (Source: FactCheck.Org). That’s right — if you read the AP article, you learned The Huffington Post called no less than fifteen McCain-Palin Paŕa Èl Presidenté offices in battleground states to ask them if they’ve suspended campaign operations and NONE said they did.
Look, this is nothing personal — I LOVE this guy, Panama John, and I’ve always had a crush on his running mate, Sarah Palin, going way back to the days when my seventh and eighth grade eyes were going “gah-gah” over “little Sarah Heath” in Wasilla, Alaska. In fact, Señor McCain proves the American Dream is alive and well. My fellow Americans, we are within inches of electing the very first Panamanian-born U.S. president in the history of our nation and if that doesn’t go to prove the American Dream is acheivable for ALL Americans all wealthy Americans born with a silver spoon, I don’t know what will.
On the other hand, I just thought it was important to point out the fact that the “facts” aren’t always as “factual” as SOME politicians would have us believe. And that’s the end of THIS rant.

Damn Damn Damn, just when idiot savant Tucker had me CONVINCED McCain had saved the world, caused day and night, warm and cold days, etc etc I now have to read that things are unraveling in Washington while all campaigning was suspended!! Seriously what is this world coming to when the Republican idiot savant truth’s last less than 24 hours now? It used to be that I could at least bath in the Republican propaganda for a whole 24 hours before I had to forcibly swallow a new contradictory “truth” and act of patriotic heroism on Senor’s part.
As for my prior post in another thread I am disappointed at the lack of props from my fellow posters, I at least considered it to be a brilliant bit of sarcastic prose to be appreciated by both on the left side of the aisle as well as the right.
Damn,Damn Damn-”Good Times” I loved that show lol.
Your right though…I think the main problem is that it’s too hard to lie, cheat and steal….that goes for both the GOP and DEMS…the power of the internet has changed everything. community organizing is viral online…Ron Paul has a powerful voice due to the internet. Citizens can google search topics and find the truth like never before. I think that is why the GOP can’t get away with cover ups in this election versus in the past and the Dems can’t get away with BS either. The BS is being caught in REAL TIME.
Having said all that…it appears the GOP is committed to stealing this election with propaganda so there is still hope for the GOP believers like Tucker.
As the world turns
As far as stealing elections is concerned I’m far more worried about Diebold.

He will claim victory no matter how badly Obama beats his sorry old ass, all the while claiming that he single handedly solved the financial crisis by supending his campaign. The problem is that most of the delusional righties will actually believe it. Fortunately, he’s become such a pathetic mockery of the man he used to be that some of those people detached enough from reality to have actually voted Republican in the past are starting to see through the miserable charade and, even if they won’t vote for a ni…. a black man, they might just stay home on November 4th. Meanwhile, most of those conservatives living in la-la-land can’t get over Sarah’s brilliant analysis of the complex international relationship between Russia and Alaska. Nothing to worry about with Diebold-they changed their name.
Listening to all these Dem’s, you’d think McCain and Palin are the only candidates in this election. Nobody from the left even mentions that other candidate… what’s his name… oh yeah, Lucifer, uhhh… I mean Obama.
Gotta admit though, McCain has ole Lucifer, errr… Obama dancing around like a puppet on a string – real Presidential material, eh?
The dem’s need to realize that the American public is really tired of all their Hate and negativity and if they can’t figure it out soon, the Republicans are going to slap them down for the third time in a row.
FandB I thought we’d lost you!! Glad to see you are back and as delusional as ever!
Lucifer…haha…sure…I heard Sarah Palin’s priest manifested Lucifer the other night…pretty spooky.
If you find Scary McCain lurking aimlessly in your neighborhood, please let him know he’s got that debate tonight as well..heh
Good to see you back F&B, even though you’re clearly as confused and delusional as ever. I don’t know why you think we’re hateful. I just want to see these dirt-bags die a slow and painful death (after a fair trial). The point is that the GOP has been THE PARTY OF HATE AND NEGATIVITY AND WAR AND CORRUPTION AND RACISM AND INTOLERANCE AND BIGOTRY AND ECONOMIC INEQUALITY AND BACKWARDSNESS for about a hundred years or so. The only thing they’ve ever been right about is guns, but that’s no reason to put these crooks back in office.
Girardia, It’s the George Bush Effect…if one can vote for the Devil George Bush twice then one can certainly vote for Sarah Palin and McCain quite easily and be good with it. That’s not to say everyone that votes for JMacweaknut and Palin voted for Bush, but quite a few Palin backers did…if you noticed, I mention incompetent Sarah Palin more so, because she’s the one really holding the GOP together and that’s SAD!

I must be getting old, I didn’t know I was gone. I just don’t like to monopolize the conversation too much and I went back and forth so many times with Captain Kirk the other day that I felt like I should take a breather and let y’all talk.
Seriously, though, talk about a deer in the headlights. Did you all see the clips of Obama sitting in that meeting with the President, etc. It’s pretty clear now why he didn’t want to go back to Washington – he doesn’t have a clue how to handle a crisis.
Good thing McCain stepped up and stopped the $700 billion bailout. The best plans are usually compromises between the two parties.
Ok, step AWAY from the Tucker Bounds Kool Aid, move along, move along everyone.
YEEOUCHH!!!
(CNN) – Prominent conservative columnist Kathleen Parker, an early supporter of Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin, said Friday recent interviews have shown the Alaska governor is “out of her league” and should leave the GOP presidential ticket for the good of the party.
The criticism in Parker’s Friday column is the latest in a recent string of negative assessments toward the McCain-Palin candidacy from prominent conservatives.
Oh man, thats GOTTA HURT!
Ohh it gets WORSE if you can belive it. Sorry I didn’t include this all in one post.
“If BS were currency, Palin could bail out Wall Street herself,” Parker also writes. “If Palin were a man, we’d all be guffawing, just as we do every time Joe Biden tickles the back of his throat with his toes. But because she’s a woman — and the first ever on a Republican presidential ticket — we are reluctant to say what is painfully true.”
Parker, who praised McCain’s “keen judgment” for picking Palin earlier this month and wrote the Alaska governor is a “perfect storm of God, Mom and apple pie,” now says Palin should step down from the ticket.
“Only Palin can save McCain, her party, and the country she loves,” Parker writes. She can bow out for personal reasons, perhaps because she wants to spend more time with her newborn. No one would criticize a mother who puts her family first. Do it for your country.”
Parker’s comments follow those by prominent conservatives David Brooks, George Will, and David Frum who have all publicly questioned Palin’s readiness to be vice president.
Damn it those conservatives are SO sexist!
Left Coast, Sean Cafferty on CNN also grilled Sarah Palin today as well…he was pretty upset that McCain would have the nerve to select her as the VP on his ticket.
Talking about a deer caught in the headlights…that would be Sarah Palin…or a moose, whichever fits..hehe
Don’t get me wrong, I get no great joy out of watching Sarah flame out, although I think it was very arrogant of her to accept the nomination then to keep insisting she is ready. Ok, maybe I get a bit of joy thinking that hubris is part of her downfall, like Icarus the wax is melting and her plummet begins but I wish her no personal ill will. For better or worse she and her family will never be the same as a result of this experience.
Shame on McInsane for doing such a poor job of vetting and setting her up like this. Where I do get great joy is watching all the idiot savants also insist she is a great choice and ready and defend it to their dying breath. You can argue Obama isn’t ready but he survived primaries to have his shot at it. If she’d had to run she never would have made it any further than Ron Paul (and yes I know she isn’t running for president). Those that defended and continue to defend her as the greatest thing since sliced bread instead of expressing dismay at the choice care not for their country but only for love of party.
I got a mind bender for ya: If Sarah Palin was a democrat, can you imagine IF Obama chose Sarah Palin as his running mate? He’d be down 20 points with all her baggage….better yet, can you imagine if Sarah Palin was let’s just say…of darker complexion? She’d probably be considered a radical and McCain’s campaign would be dead in the water weeks ago.
F&B- What world are you living in? Obama has been consistant and rock solid this week in the face of serious crises while McInsane has been acting like a drunken escapee from the the lunatic ward. The two parties had a compromise until McShame stepped in and screwed it all up. As of now no one knows where he stands on this thing, or whether he’s really going to show up to get his ass kicked tonight. What will be their excuse to cancel Palin’s debate?
my point is that McCain’s pick is a fabrication and the media appears to be finally p*ssed off because they went along for the ride up until now.
Well, I just watched the debate and I must admit, I consider it a tie. I relly though that Obama was gonna hit one out of the park but he just let McShit lie away. I think they both hit a double. McBush managed to make a fairly good argument for his experience in what should prove to be a change year.
If any of the liberals around here dare, take a look at the following videos . . . the real story behind the downfall of Freddie and Fannie:
Democrats fight against regulation and oversight here
and
Obama sues banks who don’t make enough sub-prime loans here while his buddies get rich.
Surprised? It is October (almost).
The only thing that keeps Obama in the lead in this race is the incredible stupidity of the mindless democrat sheeple that follow him blindly into the abyss. An Obama administration will make the Carter debacle look like a Sunday afternoon picnic.
The second video in my previous post also has a good graphical definition of a bubble, as in the “housing bubble.” I hear the term thrown around quite a bit, but I don’t know if most people really understand what an economic bubble is. When the price of something, houses, oil, etc. ‘de-couple’ from another commodity they are normally pegged to, a graph of the relative prices will create a shape resembling a bubble. When the price of gasoline goes up at a faster rate than crude oil, or housing prices rise faster than inflation, they form bubbles – the problem with bubbles is that they almost always burst.
