GTL’s NFL Picks, Week Two, 2008 –YOUCH! Opening weekend was just as painful for MOI (and yep — part French and proud OF it) as it was for Tennessee’s Vince Young, the Patriots’ Tom Brady, Jeff Garcia of the Bucs and a host of many OTHER teams, players and fans. Let’s just say there were more than a FEW “surprises” in Week 1, 2008. Lots of questions yet to be answered, folks.
SEVEN and NINE??? Are ‘ya kiddin’ me? How in the heck do I go 7-9 on the NFL opening weekend? Folks, I don’t expect you to believe me with my being both a liberal AND a blogger, but take it from me — this was the WORST opening weekend I can remember — EVER. Holy MOLY, I sincerely do hope I can at least break .500 in NFL Week Two… that was, frankly, EMBARRASSING. — not only to MYSELF, but to every other liberal blogger -slash- political pundit who loves the NFL as much as I do…
ALLOW ME TO REMIND THEE; I DID get one or two things right. Brett Favre’s Jets are 1-0, for example. My beloved, hapless 49′ers are 1-0. Oops — hold up. That was a flashback — I guess they’re 0-1, but what’s a game? Don’t get picky on me…
Titans QB, Vince Young can’t seem to handle being booed and neither can I. While Vince might quit playing football if you boo him for his poor play, I’m more likely to creep up on you like a thief in the night and slam you in your sleeping face with a whipped cream pie as I sneak off into the darkness as I hear the sirens wailing in the distance. Just kiddin’. SORT of.
Okay, onto Week 2, and may Jeebus Chrisp Himself intervene and make the teams I picked to lose (with the exception of my Niners) LOSE…

Well except for the eagles cowpokes pick (and i hope you are right btw) you should go 15-1 this weekend.
I sure hope you’re correct, L/C — I could use a 15-1 weekend, especially after my dismal Week 1 picks percentage

Okey Dokey…I’ll play your silly game. I’ll even try to come up with last years stats. Of course, I pick with my heart when it comes to my Panthers. Didn’t help my cause last year.
Cool, bro — normally, I’m a “homer” for my Niners, too. I picked ‘em against Seattle then common sense set in. Wish I’d have gone with my first instict
