Hold up, now; PLEASE don’t get me wrong here — when I make reference to the Sarah Palin “Barracuda Bump” in my headline, I’m not trying to imply Señor J. Sidney For Él Presidenté is “bumping” Sarah Palin — I sincerely do hope nobody took it the wrong way. For one thing, Sarah Palin is no “Cindy McCain”; I cannot fathom the wife of Todd Palin (yeah, yeah, BOTH Palins being former classmates — standard disclaimers already well-documented) “messing around” with a married man like Cindy McCain did when she “wooed” J. Sidney away from his accidentally disfigured first wife, Carol McCain. I just cannot imagine a McCain-Palin fornication scandal for the life of me despite what one may think of her politics.
So, anyhow, here we go — Él Presidenté “wannabe”, formerly of Panama, is enjoying a three-point lead in the Gallup Daily Poll today. WOW. Who’da thunkit? H/T goes to MemeOrandum for the pull, of course…
So, what does this mean? ZILCH. Nada. Or, for the benefit of J. Sidney’s fellow Panamanians: que no significa nada. We have two months to go and lots of debates to watch between Barry and Sidney; the “Barracuda” and Joe “The Hammer” Biden before the polls will begin to hold any significance at all. So, to the supporters of Señor McCain; enjoy your champaign and to the Senator himself; enjoy that straight-up vodka you like. To the supporters of Barry Obama; take it easy on the pain pills — we have a VERY long way to go before there is any need for alarm.
After all, it’s the opening weekend for the National Football League, and that’s a heckuvalot more important today than this Gallup Daily bunk. Just open up a can or bottle of your favorite beverage, sit back and enjoy some NFL football — BELIEVE me — this little “Barracuda Bump” isn’t likely to last very long.

My GOP insider bud tells me they’re VERY nervous over some “extremist views” (he says “not dirt”) to be “discovered this week and into next. As usual, I dunno what the hell he’s talking about, but he’s usually absolutely, 100% on the money as he was with the Palin pick I wrote about here on May 28th with his permission long before anybody else had the “scoop” (to the best of my knowledge). I even have it on good authority “First Dude”, Todd, and perhaps even Sarah Palin herself didn’t know the definitive answer before it was officially announced.

As far as the polls….. every time Johnny moves a fly hair the MSM is all over it. I’m not buying that Johnny’s on top, and I’m not buying that this race is as close as these polls indicate. We’ll see how right or how wrong I am, but the wingtards (the element that still thinks our pResident is a reincarnation of Christ) aren’t a big enough segment of the voting population to save Johnny. Obama would just about have to be caught in bed with Chimpy’s Pet Goat to lose.

Jolly-Unfortunately, there has to be an undeniably greater number of Obama supporters than right wing idiots so that there is simply no way the Rethuglicans that make the voting machines can’t get away with rigging the elections (again). Even the left leaning among us clearly recognize the Wisdom of John McCain’s VP selection, a level of Wisdom and good judgement that will most certainly carry through to other decisions that a Chief Executive and Commander in Chief will need to make.
The left leaners are demonstrating this through their nearly complete preoccupation, no, obsession with Gov. Palin and anything and everything she (and her family) may or may not have done since Alaska cooled.
Honestly, the waves of jealousy are pounding through the media like a storm surge through a New Orleans levee. As long as the left keeps comparing their Presidential nominee to the right’s VP nominee, anything can happen… and probably will.
As far as the democrat ticket goes, I think I’d rather deal with a Washington insider than someone who hangs out with the likes of Antonin Rezko, William Ayers, and Rev. Wright. (A Convicted felon, a Terrorist, and a Racist)
