Gallup Poll Daily: Obama-Biden Enroute To Landslide Over McCain-Palin

Gallup Daily: Eight-Point Obama-Biden Lead Expected To Quadruple Over Next Three To Four Weeks In Wake Of RNC Fiasco…

RNC Bump is not occuring according to Rasmussen -- Obama and Biden lead McCain and Palin by 8 points at 50 percent as Sarah Palin takes the stage...Look, I’m not much into “The Polls” this far out from the time we are to hit the voting booths to select our THE U.S MILITARY’S Commander-In-Chief, but the fact that the Gallup Daily is now reporting the Obama-Obiden team is enjoying an eight-point lead DURING the RNC is rather disturbing to those who believe in the benefits of the authoritarian Republican Police State over the benefits of the equally authoritarian Democratic Nanny State. How can that be, you ask. How can the Nanny-Staters beat out the Police-Staters that easily?

Well, for one thing, the G.O.P. could have picked a much better speaker lineup. According to rumors, Jack Abramoff, Mark Foley, Ted “Bridge To Nowhere But Prison” Stevens, toe-tappin’ Larry Craig and Scooter Libby will all be making surprise appearances at the Republican National Convention in Minnesota this week, to extoll the virtures of the Republican “Data mining and wiretapping citizens without court approval” version of “Big Brother” over the more wimpy, “It takes a villiage with millions of social workers” version the Dems prefer. Even worse than any of the above, the G.O.P. is also expecting the even LESS popular President “Surge” W. Bush and Vice President Dick “Bad Shot” Cheney to take the mic as well.

To top it all off, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is expected to take the stage any minute to “sell” the American People on ABSTINENCE ONLY education in the public schools as well as her plan to force the “daddies” of rape victims to force their distraught daughters to give birth to the babies of their rapists, thereby creating proud new “grandpappies”, “mommies” and “rapist daddies”, “grandmas”, “uncles”, “aunts”, and of course, “rapist-baby juniors and junior-ettes” who, with great love and caring shall grow up to achieve the American Dream.

Well, those other potential “suprise guests” MIGHT just be nothing more than a rumor. Come to think of it, perhaps it was I, not Rasmussen who predicted the huge JUMP in the polls in favor of the Obama-Joe Biden camp. Of course, I could be wrong in assuming Sarah might be scheduled to pontificate on those two “wedge(???)” issues, too. But you know, I also wouldn’t be surprised to see ZERO bump for Señor J. Sidney McCain of Arizona Panama either. I think folks, regardless of their political affiliation, are growing tired of the “Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb-Bomb-Iran” crappola and the idea of another eight years filled with “Bush-like”, “Cheney-like”, “Alberto Gonzales-like”, “Don Rumsfeld-like”, self-serving individuals we must FULLY expect to “serve” (themselves, of course) in a Señor McCain Administration.

While I may be wrong — I frequently AM — I do believe we will be serving a President Barry Obama, versus the other way around, by the time this is all said and done, folks. And the saddest part of it is the fact our president, whether he be a “President Señor J. Sidney McCain” or a President “Barry Obama”, will expect US to serve THEM and THEIR agendas verus the other way around — in the manner our Founding Fathers had extablished the job title in the very beginning of this young, Democratic Republic.

Cheer for whom you wish; VOTE for whom you wish, but for Christ’s Sake, America — PLEASE INSIST upon freedom and liberty no matter who wins in the end.

OK GTL, I would have strongly objected to some of your obviously tongue-in-cheek dialogue, but I agree strongly with your closing comments.

Who would you more expect to serve the public rather than expect to be served by the public, a candidate who curtailed his own party convention in order not to distract from possible relief efforts during and after a hurricane, or a candidate who decided to give his nomination acceptance speech from a custom-built temple on a mountain???

To me the choice is clear.

What the heck… Lieberman’s speech kicked butt in favor of McCain, but wait, isn’t he a … democrat???

“Country matters more than party.” That pretty much says it all. If our country is going to survive and come out on top of the current turmoil in the world, we need that kind of attitude.

If Obama is elected, the next time you put on your military uniform, you may very well be reporting to a UN commander. He has said as much himself, that the US military should report to the UN, not the U.S. President or the U.S. people.

The U.S. needs a strong leader who puts his Country before his party, and the U.S. people before himself and his own personal megalomania.

This extends to each person in this country. When you push that button, or pull that lever, or struggle desperately to poke out that hanging chad, make sure you’re voting for the person you believe is best for the country – not for yourself or your party, but your country.

GTL, if you’re bothered that Obama possibly wants our military to report to a UN commander, how do you feel about Obama wanting to eventually take our 2nd Amendment rights away? As in, only-the-police-force-ought-to-have guns-Obama vs. they’ll-have-to-pry-it-from-my-cold- -dead-fingers-Heston? Liberty and Freedom only work with the 2nd Amendment in place, no?

Just curious man, at what point of disagreement do I morph from “normal” to stupid? I mean, if I kinda like Sen. Obama, but not enough to vote for him, am I only slow? What’s the line I cross to get sent to the short bus?

BTW,I have been a denizen here for about as long as GTL has had a site. In that time, we have seldom agreed on a candidate or politician, yet amazingly enough, neither of us has used the term “stupid” to describe the other. Oh sure, I call him a “commie” mostly because he is ;-) but he is one smart commie. I only say this because I think some of y’all Lefties have let BDS cloud your judgement. I venture the opinion that supporting Sen. McCain is no more stupid than supporting Sen. Obama is traitorous.I’ll also add that I point out the same thing on right wing sites. Whoever wins, we need to stop demonizing our fellow countrymen if we are to have a prayer of dealing with challenges ahead.

I actually think this choice is about the only good thing that two-faced, lying, flip-flop machine McShame has done lately. It’s cut his exploitation of his POW period in half, at least for now. I’m just amused that the right-wing nut-jobs are getting so upset when the media gives them the scrutiny they’ve given Obama since the beginning of this sick parade that passes for democracy in this ailing land. I’m with you uniters. If the right wing wackos would just admit they’ve been wrong on just about everything but guns, and the lefties would admit that gun control doesn’t make any sense, then we could get down to solving some problems. Hell, the ideal ticket would be OBAMA/PALIN. Get these crusty old farts out of politics anyways.

DaveM – still resorting to personal attacks due to an inability to add anything meaningful to the discussion I see.

The lefties “…doth protest too much, methinks.” It is clear from the level of attacks on Gov. Palin that the left is running scared. It’s time for them to understand the Stockdale Paradox (google it lefties ;-) ). The brutal facts are that the antichrist Obama blew his VP pick and everyone knows it, while McCain hit a grand slam with his pick and everyone knows it. This is more clear than ever after Palin delivered her own home run tonight with her acceptance speech. The left needs to face the brutal facts and try to hobble forward as best they can.

It has also become quite apparent that the republican party is much more progressive than the democrats when it comes to accepting women in positions of true authority. Deal with it democrats, you have some serious catching up to do.

Obama can certainly talk the talk, but McCain and Palin have walked the walk.

A female version of Ronald Reagan maybe? Either way, Palin is clearly not one of the elitist politicos who promise nothing but business-as-usual. From ‘hockey mom’ to the White House – the ultimate American Dream.

As far as your digs on McCain and the ‘righties’ … what have the democrats done for us lately? (Other than go on an extended vacation instead of voting on offshore drilling)??? As bad as President Bush’s approval ratings might be right now, his are still 4 or 5 times higher than the democrat controlled congress.

Has anyone mentioned the economy or healthcare yet. We already know they will not discuss the past 8 years that’s for sure.

The attacks regarding community organizing will probably sink the GOP alone. So just let you know what’s coming in advance look below:
Community organizing is how ordinary people respond to out-of-touch politicians and their failed policies.
Throughout our history, ordinary people have made good on America’s promise by organizing for change from the bottom up. Community organizing is the foundation of the civil rights movement, the women’s suffrage movement, labor rights, and the 40-hour workweek. And it’s happening today in church basements and community centers and living rooms across America.

Absolutely, community organizing is one of the foundations of the American system going back to the Revolutionary War. The problem is, that is the extent of Obama’s “executive” experience.

Be careful of any writer (AP or otherwise) who labels his own commentary as “the facts” while he carefully leaves out crucial bits of information himself. ;-)

    • Chuck

      Springer

Help me through this. Community organizers…umm…organize folks who are left helpless and at the whim of government to get more from said government? This isn’t meant to be a dig (that’ll come later), but I really don’t get this. Now, to be fair, I’ve never lived in really large city (ie. pop.> 700K), so I’ve never actually met a community organizer. I have a fair number of very Leftist friends, and I’m pretty sure none of them has a job as community organizer. So really, what is that job exactly and who signs the paycheck?

Now the dig :-) . Gov. Palin’s mild chiding of Sen. Obama regarding his community organizer job will not hurt the GOP in the slightest. In point of fact, it is a winning line of attack. While voters in LARGE cities may know what a community organizer does, those votes are Sen. Obama’s anyway. The areas that Sen. Obama needs to carry have no clue what that job is about or why. My guess is that unless the Obama campaign can come up with a better job description than ” Hoovering the public’s wallet”, Sen. Obama had best just cede this one and move on with his “Change” agenda.
