Barry Obama Says “No More Mister Nice Guy” By Naming World-Famous Hatchet-Guy And Zinger-Slinger Joseph Biden As His Running Mate
First things first — my apologies to our devoted readers for getting the Obama veep pick wrong not just once, but twice. It turns out neither the esteemed Louisiana Congressman William “Dollar Bill” Jefferson, Jr. or former President Bill Clinton were chosen by the Obama team after all as I had predicted over the last few days. Nope — shockingly, the Senator from Illinois has chosen the gritty, hard-hitting Senator from Delaware to be his running mate (Source: The New York Times) and I couldn’t be more delighted — the man has written the book on “pithy” soundbites and this pick guarantees many more entertaining quotes are coming our way over the coming weeks.
After all, wasn’t it Senator Biden who said something to the effect of “I don’t think flying around in an airplane until somebody shoots you down and tosses your butt into prison should be an auto-qualifier for the White House“? Oops — nope — that was General Wesley Clark, who, himself, had been gunned down a few times by enemy fire in Vietnam and “tacky” or not, had earned the RIGHT to say it — but it could have just as EASILY have been Joe Biden who said it. The man’s famous for his “zingers” of that variety and I cannot WAIT for his next ones, folks.
So, what about this pick anyway? Was Barry Obama wise in making this choice? Well, not being a Democrat or a Republican, I can only o-pine from the standpoint of a torqued off, independent (small “I” on purpose) Liberal (large “L” on purpose) libertarian-ish (small “L” on purpose), smart-assed voter with a chip on his shoulder and a serious problem with politicians in general. With that in mind, ABSOLUTELY, I’m thrilled to see an Obama-Obiden ticket. I simply cannot wait to see this pair face off against the McCain-Foley (Mark, that is) ticket I’ve predicted on the other side of the aisle.
Sit back, grab the popcorn, buckle the seatbelts, and enjoy the ride, folks. Since we’ve already lost our country to the Oligarchs and I’m ready to concede that point, I’m going to simply choose to have fun with this one. After all, let us not forget the Mayan Calendar ends on December 21st, 2012 anyway so what in the heck does it matter at this point?

Moore of Comments From Left Field points out the positives — i.e., at least Biden’s not an adulterer like John Kerry’s guy Edwards or Al Gore’s guy Joe Lieberman; Deb Cupples of Buck Naked Politics (Left) is somewhat hesitant but also looks forward to some fresh new Biden “slingers” as well; Our friend Pamela Leavey from The Democratic Daily is delighted with the pick; Our buddies over at Drudge Retort (Left) are having a field day as always; Turkana of The Left Coaster (Nice roundup there, too, by the way) supports the ticket but doesn’t see much “change” in the future with this pick…

GTL – I have never offered any ‘proof’ that Obama is the antichrist. He just is.
