MSM Reporter: Señor McCain, How Many Houses Do You Own? Señor McCain: Oh, Hell, I Dunno — I Lost Count. Barry Obama Lives In A Frigging MANSION Though…

Panama John Owns So Many Houses, He Can’t Even Remember How MANY He Owns — Selective Memory Or Memory Loss Due To Age?

In so many ways, John McCain epitomizes “The American Dream”, much in the same way “Kah-Lee-Fone-Yah” Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger does. In Arnold’s case, however; he was born in the modern nation of Germany, later to migrate to the United States and yeah, we all know the rest of the story. What makes John McCain’s even more unique than his successful immigrant counterpart, Governor Schwarzenneger, is the fact the Senator “from” Arizona was born in the rolling hills of the gorgeous, but third-world countryside of Panama, later to migrate here to eventually become one of our genuine war heros in real life versus on television, as is the case of the Governor of “Kah-Lee-Fone-Yah”.

And folks — do NOT make the “rookie mistake” of selling Panama John short on his accomplishments after migrating to the “Land of The Free, Home Of The Brave“: MOST Panamanian immigrants never really achieve the level of “Incredibly Well-Established Real Estate Baron” in the amazing manner we have all learned Señor McCain has (Source: The Panamanian Diaspora). Tip the sombrerro when a tip-o-the-sombrerro is warranted, folks — forget about the politics. While most Panamanian-born fellow Earthlings can count all of their grass huts on one hand, Señor McCain has put on a CLINIC on the topic of acquiring so many grass huts; one cannot even keep up with the count anymore once they reach the shores of America.

John McCain forgets not only how many homes he owns but that he owns Scottsdale Arizona but points out Barack Obama owns a mansion...But, the differences between these two extraordinary men do not simply stop there. For one, Father Time and gravity shall eventually catch up with ALL of us — there is no escaping that solemn fact either. The elderly Panama John, for example, can’t recall at any given time the number of plush houses he owns (Source: The Washington Post’s Michael D. Shear), while I’m fairly certain the Gub’nor can cite the number of homes he owns without even thinking about it.

Meanwhile the Obamites, eager to show their disrespect for our elders, are jumping all over the nice ole’ guy from Panama, calling it yet another of his many “gaffes”. Folks — I’m sorry, but that’s where I draw the line in the sand here at The Gun Toting Liberal™ — we don’t pick on our Senior Señor Citizens around here unless they conduct themselves in such a way that they deserve the “jeers” and “boos”. Alzheimers is NOTHING to laugh about, friends. I mean, just how old IS this guy anyway? Eighty? Ninety?

I say to you — SO WHAT if the guy owns forty or fifty fancy houses? SO WHAT if he has set the bar for other fellow immigrants to our shores by demonstrating one’s attainment of The American Dream does NOT have to end with just one little pink house, a white picket fence and a dog named “Killer”? As we all know, it takes an AWFUL LOT to torque off Señor McCain, but who can blame the man for pointing out the fact his much younger, better-looking (at least that is what my lovely wife tells me) foe for the presidency with many more decades left to roam this Earth is also a prime example of what an American can obtain with just a little bit of hard work and good ‘ole boy lobbyists in the tank. Who can blame the man for fighting back?

His campaign’s retort to his MUCH younger rival’s “Yukking it up” over his Senior Citizen rival’s memory loss:

… “We’re delighted to have a real estate debate with Barack Obama,” said spokesman Brian Rogers, adding that the press should focus on Obama’s house. “It’s a frickin’ mansion. …”

Now, be it far from MOI to jump into the feeding frenzy with my shameful fellow Lefties in the Blogosphere, but it WOULD be interesting to learn how many square feet of living space each man holds title to, wouldn’t it? Or is it just me? For example, if Barry Obama owns a 40,000 square foot mansion but Señor McCain owns twenty 6,000 square foot “modest” homes… or even the entire City of Scottsdale for that matter… NOPE — I’m NOT going to fall into that trap, folks. I’m better than that. My sincerest apologies for even “going there” in the first place.

Friends, my sombrerro’s off to Panama John McCain for having the guts to run for the highest office in the land despite being on the losing end of an unwinnable battle against gravity and mortality. Some shameful folks are insinuating this only proves the Distinguished Gentleman From Arizona Panama has lost his mind….

We’ll see how “funny” you all think it is when the day (God forbid) comes when YOU forget how many mansions, plush homes, GRASS HUTS with satellite dishes portruding from their leaky roofs — whateverYOU own. It’s all fun and games until somebody gets their eye poked out, my mother used to say. There comes a time to give credit where credit’s due and put the poly-tix aside.

  • And now, for my Blogosphere roundup — my “personal faves” on the topic today: The Anonymous Liberal is calling it “The Best Gaffe Ever“; Kathy of Comments From Left Field is claiming this only goes to show you how “out of touch” Señor McCain really is; The commentators at the Drudge Retort set the record straightas always; Turkana of The Left Coaster goes on a MAJOR RANT; SilentPatriot of Crooks and Liars also jumps on the “I despise decrepit old folks with alzheimers” bandwagon by taking the ULTIMATE “cheap shot”: “… millions of Americans are at risk of losing their one and only home …”; and — my “Twin Brutha From Anutha Mutha“, Matthew O’Keefe of Papamoka Straight Talk, airs his “sour grapes” in pointing out that Señor McCain might only have thirty-or-so houses in his NAME, his [ahem, SECOND] wife, Cindy, might own tens of thousands of houses (or more, even); Liberal Values’ Ron Chusid, taking the “Moral High Road”, setting the bar HIGH for his and our fellow Liberals, could not care LESS about how many houses the wealthy real estate mogul “Maveric” Republican owns…

And now for the (Rightfully, I might add) “offended” Righty bloggers: Marc Ambinder of The Atlantic is quick to point out the fact the Obamites have discovered a new plan of attack based upon the McCain gaffe; My friend William Teach of Stop The ACLU (and Pirate’s Cove as well) is just DARING the Obamites to “go there”; James Joyner of Outside The Beltway points out that ALL of our presidents have been out of touch elititists (my words, not his); Doctor Steven Taylor of PoliBlog not only echoes James Joyner’s sentiments; he cites tangible examples; Andrew Sullivan of The Daily Dish (The Atlantic) points out the number of houses an elitist politician owns is as important as the number of shoes one owns; The always-brilliant Don Surber of The Charleston Daily Mail is keeping score again — takes another point away from Señor McCain (McCain still leads though: 395-375)…

CORRECTION — Our friend Don Surber has replied to this post (below) and it turns out he shaved not one, but SEVEN points away from Señor McCain on his score card; one for each home he “forgot” he owned…

Thanks. Actually, I docked him 7 points. One for each house. But I feel sorry for him. I too don’t know how many houses I own: One or 1? Hmm.

Well, what James and I both said was that by the time one had become the nominee of a major party one is, by definition, an “elite.” As such, attempts by both campaigns to paint the other candidate as an “out of touch” elite/celeb/whatever is rather silly.

My other point was that one merit of the US system is that these candidates don’t normally start out as elites from birth (unlike, say, the current occupant of the WH).

      YOU MISS THE WHOLE POINT

HE IS AN OLD RICH WHITE GUY HELPING OTHER RICH OLD WHITE GUYS. Some rich people have a social conscience, at least, they offer aid and comfort to others in varius ways. McNASTY, or MCBUSH if you prefer, has no interest in helping average working people. He wants wealth for himself and his class.

WHO THE HELL NEEDS 7 HOUSES? ONLY A SELFISH RICH JERK!

You are killing me… While I was writing my own post I stumbled on yours after I posted it. I linked back to ya bro! Well done and I am just amazed at how much we think alike.

Anywho, watch for the McCain camp try to explain that his wife actually owns all the homes and I would not one bit begrudge her for doing so. Would you trust a politician with your finances and hundred million dollar fortune? I sure as hell would not!

      Great post Gunny!

Now all you need is your very own Gravitar so the rest of the world can know you are almost as “photogenic” as I and the rest of us on this here “GTL Planet” ;-)

Hey William, do you have a problem with being rich, or just white, or both? There are a lot of white folks in this country who aspire to be such. A lot of folks from other races desire to be rich also.

Why would you want to cut someone down for being successful, unless possibly you are acting upon your own sense of failure and inability to attain the good life for you and your family?

Personally, I don’t believe the number of homes one owns is any indication of being selfish nor a jerk. Selfishness is the act of denying others a helping hand or possibly even the very things that they have worked to attain, as your comment seems to imply that you would like to see done. Being a jerk, well that can entail simply making crude and uncalled for statements. Sound familiar?

BTW – before the flame war starts, no, I am not a Bush neocon, nor any other similar species. As a matter of fact, I believe that we are heading for disaster no matter which of these two farces are elected to be president.

It’s a shame that no one in this country can see beyond political partisanship and see what real drivel we are given to choose from…

      Wake up America,

If Sen. McCain doesn’t even know how to count how many homes he owns – NOT investment properties, than that is a good indication that he does not give a shit on average americans who don’t make $5 million dollars a year as he stated himself. Its your future.. so if you don’t care, than vote for him. He will not lose sleep over your petty average income homes.

I say why stop at not voting for him. Everyone here is right ,who needs 7 flipping houses? What is this, Monopoly? I say let’s take ‘em from him..er…her. Then we can sell ‘em to the good rich folks, whoever the heck they may be, and use the money for the children. Man, I hate it when the bad rich folks have stuff. My problem is that I can never tell who is good or who is bad, since you don’t get rich in a cut-throat world without slitting some windpipes.

I am a rich white dude. I have many houses. In fact I have so many houses I had to construct a wall chart of my houses and how many Mexicans I had working at each house illegally.

When informed that not all White Americans owned their own Mexicans I have thusly had to enter therapy. However at this time I am fully recovering and have come to grips with the fact that there are actually some people in this country who cannot afford more then half a dozen homes.

Its been quite a shock though for me to take. I mean My buddy John Kerry has homes all over and a billionaire wife. John McCain is rich beyond avarice, My other buddy Al Gore hangs out in his own jet and we cruise on his yaughts.

Hell I just thought this is how all White Men live.

Even more important is the question of How many houses does Obama* own that he bought for about a dollar each from Tony Rezko (the criminal) in exchange for Political Favors yet to be revealed. If McCain had done what Obama* did with his criminal buddy Rezko, you all would have crucified him. It is a shame that so many liberals cannot support a candidate without resorting to such blatant hypocrisy.

I’m a broke white renter who’s on the verge of being old. At least if the American people prove their stupidity by electing another Republican dirtbag, albeit one who is to old to remember who he sold out to or what he got in return, then I can just pack up my meager belongings and head to Canada and leave this mounting debt behind. I’m sure that all the wealthy neocons that have benefited from America’s fundamentally sound economy can afford to pick up the tab for the impending finacial collapse of myself and twenty or thirty million of of my fellow legal and illegal residents of this prosperous land.
