Thus Far, Panama John Doesn’t Deny Accusation Either…
Okay, okay — To be COMPLETELY FAIR — as far as I know, Señor McCain, whose mother plopped Johnny bebé (that’s “Baby Johnny” in Panamanian, by the way) out of her womb directly onto the rich soils of the gorgeous, Panamanian countryside some seventy, eighty, ninety (or however many?) years or so ago, hasn’t been directly asked THAT PARTICULAR question yet.
Whether or not he rolled around in his limousine for at least the FIRST entire half of Barry Obama’s “interview”, killing time, watching The O-Bomber field and answer the tough questions of “Mr. Purpose Driven Life” himself on the many, MANY available live feeds on any one of many dropdown, widescreen televisions before showing up “fashionably-late” to his (so-called) “Cone Of Silence” (Source: The New York Times‘ Katharine Q. Seelye), remains in question at this time. That is, of COURSE, unless you are willing to accept Reverend Allen’s “heartfelt assurances” that Señor McCain would NEVER dream of “cheating”. That is, not since he and Mrs. Cindy “Buffalo Chip” McCain left the broken-hearted FIRST “Mrs. McCain”, Carol, in their dust to chase their mutually political and capital dream.
However; this does not change the fact he STILL hasn’t denied the rumor floating around that he cheated in his interview at the Brokeback (sorry, readers — typos, typos, TYPOS… messed up again, dagnabbit) SADDLEBACK megachurch on Saturday night with Rev. Rick Warren. According to Obama For Prez campaign official, Andrea Mitchell on Meet The Press, he just seemed too polished; “He just seemed so well prepared…”, she theorized (Source: NewsBusters‘ D.S. Hube).
While it is understandable how one might arrive at the conclusion that once somebody is a cheating low-life, they will ALWAYS be a cheating low-life (Just ask Ross Perot — yep — he’s back, the Reagans and his FIRST wife, Carol McCain for more information on that one); I personally do not believe that was the case on Saturday evening at Saddleback Church. Of COURSE, Señor McCain rattled his answers to all of the questions from Rev. Warren with ease, as if he were expecting them to be asked versus the insightful, well-thought out answers by Barry Obama. One guy, “Mr. I’m Not Bush Or Cheney” has memorized the Bush-Cheney-Neocon talking points for years. Panama John doesn’t even THINK anymore — Barry does.
The point is, it doesn’t really matter if Señor McCain DID “cheat” anyway. There were ZERO new revelations from the Senator from The Great State Of Arizona the sovereign South American nation of Panama; we already knew he was “Mr. Straight Talk Express” in the beginning and over half of America hasn’t trusted the (so-called) “straight talk” from the man with a long history of knee-jerk reactions and a hot temper in the first place. The Saddleback setting did nothing more than to confirm this to those Americans who suspected this to be the case anyway.
On the other hand, to McCain’s credit; I was rather impressed with the fact the guy is at least capable of pretending to have a sense of humor in between those famous temper tantrums of his. While Barry Obama had to pause and think before responding to some of the tougher questions, I do believe America saw two vastly different men on Saturday night — one who shoots from the hip shoots his mouth off and jumping to conclusions without engaging his brain first and another man who is still trying to find himself.
If I were to fall for the false premise that there are only TWO candidates in this race from which to choose from, I must say — I would prefer the latter to the former for, perhaps the WORLD’S most potentially-dangerous-to-others job in the land. But yep — again — that’s just MOI.

And NOW, folks — to be fair, some (strangley similar-sounding) counterpoints from a few of our friends on the Right Conservative side of the blogosphere — Just “snippets“, of course (suffice it to say they’re not “happy“):
“… Unbelievable. Barack Obama got his ass handed to him last night because he is a light weight and that’s it. There is no other reason, and for his camp to completely malign Senator McCain’s honor and integrity is just plain offensive. …”
“… It’s shameful and shamefully obvious what’s going on here, it actually somewhat began with Reagan. Call the Republican candidate dumb, or not sharp enough until it begins to sink in. Then, when they debunk that myth by besting the Democrat one on one – well, it had to have been cheating. …”
“… No, really. The Obama camp and its media water-carriers are seriously accusing John McCain of “cheating” in his appearance over the weekend at Rick Warren’s Saddleback church forum because he was in his motorcade when the program started– and then escorted to an empty room without media hook-ups. …”
“… McCain was just too crisp and “on”. Everyone knows McCain is the second coming of George Bush when it comes to public speaking. And since he did well, one must conclude he cheated. …”

RealDCC – Oh, say, you don’t think lines are being fed to him through his ear piece, do you? I seem to remember Bush coming across pretty intelli-NOT during his debates… hmm, could I be onto something?

I don’t understand all this “McCain did so well” nonsense. All he did was feed the dogs the meat they wanted. “At the moment of conception” “defeat it.” He didn’t offer any intelligence or thoughtful responses. Obama OWNED the night by showing YES I’M A CHRISTIAN and this is how i struggle with these issues. McCain tells this wonderful anecdote about his captor and the cross in the dirt. But does he learn to be a good Christian? No, he goes back to America fu*ks Cindy in Hawaii behind his crippled first wife’s back and then, THEN goes on to take part in the Keating Five scandal. Meanwhile, Barack has been working with churches and faith based programs/community organizing for years.
Note: Barack leads with all Christian groups. ALL. Save one. The Evangelical fringe. This was their chance to listen to reason, yet they were duped by stock phrases that do nothing to change anything. 8 years of McCant and you know what… you’ll have just as many abortions then as you do now.
Sigh.

I am sure that Mr. McCain would find any and every reason to cheat, lie, steal or do anything he could to get an advantage. I would hope that he does that when he faces down HackalugieJohn in Iran or Putin in Russia.
For some reason I find the Democrats once again falling into that we have to be nice and make everyone love us and yet look at the responses above. We despise and hate John McCain but want to be buddies with HackalugieJohn and the rest of the tyrants in the world.
I think the reason that the democrats keep taking victory and turning it into defeat is that even with a candidate like Barak Obama who tries to instill in them a “Oh yes we can” attitude. They are so purpose driven by “Oh no you can’t” that they enjoy sitting on the political sidewalk with a ball peen hammer and pounding each others toes and screaming in delight.

I think Barack did fairly well considering the crowd is about 75-25 against him from the start. but I bet he picked up some fans after his steady and calm presentation. EVANGELS still DO NOT like adulterers! and cheaters! all you right wingers and haters can throw the sink at barack ,but you cannot take away the fact he is open about HIS family, loves his kids AND wife, and is secure in that. Your Mcsame cannot say the same. and his name is BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA, my United States Senator, and I am not ashamed of his give name. so give it up you FOX news watcher haters. you wanna play that game, we will join. because your man McBUsh has his little deals alot worse than Barack. and yes, Keating FIve is on the table, if you are going back 20 years on Barack. Remember, Johnny Mac was censured, one senator , a democrat,Cranston, had to resign for same thing…How about mom mcSame sueing for her belongings back from Carol? On the oil drilling thing,,,McBush and brothers bush always were against drilling. McBush was until March 08 when the political winds told him to change…I see nothing wrong with talking to crowds of 70,000 in AMerica or 200,000 in Germany. does not mean you are a celebrity, just means you can draw people who want to hear the truth and something of substance after 8 years of blubering and goofball diplomacy..Peace!

and another thing, you rightwinger haters and liars–Barack,Sen. Durbin, all Democrats I know, and the national party have issued statements honoring the Senator from Arizona’s national service and his terrible ordeal in Hanoi. Even though alot of you do not think Dems can be patriotic, serve the nation, OR be religious or Christians, (My dad was in first wave on Iwo Jima and Purple Hearted) we would have appreciated the same courtesy for Sen. KERRY and his service the same as we honor your man for his..all you did was swiftboat a brave man, saying he did not deserve the Purple Hearts,,,,SHAME ON YOU. it will come back to haunt as WE WILL NOT FORGET what you did in ‘04!!!

I’m tired of you going so easy on Sen. McCain. There are many more accusations you could make that he has not denied. How about ” Have you stopped beating your wife”? What about, “Do you still have sex with children”? Don’t forget the most important” Did you really kill that man in Reno, just to watch him die”?
Please, in the future, don’t feel compelled to hold back on the accusations.

sorry I touched a nerve there guys at GTL, but I remember how in March and til now the gloves were off on Obama, and alot of us “libs” sat idly by letting FIX (hannity et all, pound us every night) now its time for paybacks if thats the slime game they want to play.So I will refrain from using haters and rightwingers and will juust say conservs in future if I offend someone…Libs get tired of false accusations as well. Oh well, its a general election so we should all have thick skins like big boys and girls> I am not sure, but is that comment about beating wife and sex with kids,e tc supposed to be sarcastic? well guys, am off to work to help pay for the war that Bush and McBush have puton a credit card for future deficits..have a good one!

I’ve seen McCain answer questions on other matters elsewhere, and he consistently got his facts wrong and seemed confused. His handlers were not going to let that happen this time….the stakes were too high…he was talking to the religious right-wingers! What to do? Drive around, let your staffers listen to the questions, then they get on their phones and feed possible answers to him. In the correct order, of course.
Are we surprised? Isn’t this the republican way of doing things?

Every day this race is getting more and more hilarious as the left-wingers watch their ‘messianic’ candidate Obama (the antichrist) self-destruct and decompose right before their very eyes. And now, the best offense they can come up with, since their guy was clearly trounced by McCain, is to say that their opponent ‘cheated’?!?!? It is sad, really, but at least we know the antichrist can be defeated. After all, he is not God, but just another man who is a little too full of himself to have an understanding of the world outside of himself. And when you put the antichrist Obama up on a stage without a teleprompter, it quickly becomes apparent that he really IS as hollow and egocentric as he seems.
*
Maybe if Obama (the antichrist) had chosen NOT to go on vacation during the initial stages of Russia’s invasion of (formerly Soviet) Georgia, he would have still had his head in the game during the Saddleback forum at which he Failed so miserably.
*
If he had spent less time ogling bikini-clad teenagers on the beach, and more time working on the important issues with which he should be concerned, maybe he could have formed a couple of coherent answers that were not straight from the book of democrat talking points.
*
Man you liberals sure know how to pick some winners, no, really.

If I were a democrat, I think I’d be starting a “Draft Hillary” campaign right about now. At least she understands what is at stake here, and can probably stand up to the Russians much more effectively than the antichrist Obama.

That was actually satire, which is exactly the same as sarcasm, except when it’s not. BTW, just so you’ll know, I am to GTL what Jimminy Cricket is to Pinocchio. The only difference is substitute Rightwing Deathsquad for cricket, and we have the same thing.

I was polled today by the firm of Larjay Dumas. ( results confirmed by Dewey,Cheatam,& Howe). Turns out, I agree with you 38.73% percent of the time on issues other than Panamanian Presidential candidates. However, when we look at the internals, there is a 62.47% group that has doubts that you use your donations for boooze and hookers as intended. I feel you need some focus group work to sharpen your message.

Let’s be real, in this digital age you don’t need a TV or a media feed in a room to cheat. Anyone in the forum could be sending text messages or emails from their Blackberry unless they have strip searched everyone in there for communication devices and even that can not prevent the outcome. Just ask high schoolers. Whether Mr. JC cheated or not i can’t say but don’t say it is impossible.
2:22 am on August 19th, 2008 22
good reply to the “cheating” angle, daniel J. not sure McSame cheated.(would leave that to his associates and surrogates for later smears and lies). he was as corney and joking at times as he is on the stump.we had that stuff from Reagan and I for one did not think his “joking” and funny quips were either. AS FOR F& b comments, they do not deserve a response from thinkers and those who know the last 8 years ARE a disaster and MCsame and ALL his “experience” have helped get us there!!!as for drafting Sen. Clinton, the gophers and righties better look in their rear view mirror at Bob Barr and Ron Paul,,,,the latter will be having his”own convention” in the hall right next to the Mcsame show in the Twin Cities, with upwards of 15, ooo LIBERAL and moderate thinking republicans.. Some show of unity for the Repubs, huh. now all we need are the NeoCons to have their separate convention in the same neighborhood at the same time as well! We DEMs will have Barack AS OUR nominee and I am sure a very well qualified person as our next Vice-president….stay tuned folks..Peace.

90% OF LIFE IS SHOWING-UP ON TIME
I don’t know about anyone else, but if a candidate is late to a job interview with me–s/he’d better have a darn good excuse, or they’re not getting the job. Period.
Everyone already knows that John McCain arrived late to the Saddleback Civil Forum–halfway through Barack Obama’s nationally-televised live interview ( http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/08/18/warren-mccain-did-not-violate-cone-of-silence-2/ ). I’m not going to disparage the campaign for possibly “cheating”. There’s no concrete evidence either way, and everyone can form their own opinion–because without evidence, that what it is–opinion. While he–or one of his aides–could have been viewing the live broadcast of Obama’s interview, either in the motorcade or remotely, there’s no evidence proving it, and McCain said he did not. He did say he was “trying to listen at the wall,” but I think that was another one of his “jokes”–which isn’t so funny, given his tardiness (I do wish he would start to take this presidency thing seriously one of these days).
And this isn’t the first time John McCain’s pulled his class-clown/tardiness stunt for a once-in-a-lifetime situation of honor and respect, clearly not a time to be either “joking” or tardy. Remember back in March, when McCain kept the President of the United States embarrassed and waiting on the steps of the White House when he was tardy to a gathering of honor to receive the endorsement of said President for becoming presumptive nominee of the “Republican” party? That’s not leadership in my book. John McCain should work just on showing-up on time before talking about what a great leader he is. I’ve met many such hot-shots who talk big but can’t even show-up to work on time.
So what’s the excuse? Why was McCain late–again? Was there a crisis–or was he just screwing the pooch? I do believe this was the first time a presidential candidate in the United States was late for a live national broadcast of an event like this. What a %$#@! honor. I’m sure that jerk Ahmadinejad in Iran is laughing his head off at what idiots we are. Thanks for that, John.
Barack Obama, by the way, showed-up. On time. (I can’t believe this issue is even coming-up; this is the presidency we’re talking about, not High School Class Treasurer). How embarrassing.

McCain keeps Bush waiting at endorsement
George W. Bush is not a man used to being kept waiting. It is hardly surprising then that when John McCain failed to appear at the appointed hour to receive the President’s blessing as the Republican nominee, he looked a little awkward.
Mr Bush, whose endorsement is viewed as crucial in uniting conservatives around the moderate candidate, had rolled out the red carpet and walked out onto the North Portico of the White House, where he usually greets foreign leaders. But Mr McCain wasn’t there.
“So, anyway,” the President told waiting reporters after a moment’s pause. “As I was saying…”
He trailed off, clearly hoping to see the nominee emerge from some corner of the Rose Garden.
A reporter then shouted a question, to which Mr Bush replied: “He’s gonna win.” Another pause. “There will be ample time for questions.”
The President grinned uneasily at the waiting press pack. He shuffled his feet, then did a little jig. “I’m just going to tap dance a little,” the leader of the free world explained.
Another uncomfortable silence descended. The President peered about him, then looked at his staff with eyes pleading for rescue.
“Who should be his VP?,” a reporter yelled.
“There will be ample time for questions,” Mr Bush repeated.
“There’s ample time now,” a second reporter piped up.
But the nominee was still nowhere to be seen.
“Let’s start over,” Mr Bush chortled, fleeing back into the safety of the White House. “Pretend like it never happened.”
A minute later, the gates opened for a sleek black Cadillac bearing Mr McCain and his wife Cindy. The President re-emerged, greeted the couple, and they all headed back into the White House for lunch.
—– END OF TIMES ONLINE ARTICLE —–
What irks me is that this isn’t rocket science–If the yahoos on Jerry Springer or (take your pick of game shows that use a “silent” room) can pull this sort of thing off, what possible excuse is there to screw it up for a forum on the world views of the candidates for the Presidency!? Brett Favre showed-up on time to win the Super Bowl on national television. Young Michael Phelps showed-up on time to win all eight gold medals while the world tuned-in to see it live. And Barack Obama showed-up on time for his interview with Rick Warren and the people of America.
John McCain was tardy.

“Cheating”. Good grief.
You really think it was so difficult to predict the questions for this thing?
“Hmmmm…gonna be interviewed by an evangelical pastor. I wonder if he’s gonna ask about my position on abortion?”
“Good vs. evil? I don’t know….maybe…”
“What about war? He might even ask about THAT!”
A better question for you is why couldn’t Obama make an educated guess about the questons and, ya’ know, and PREPARE for them? Oh no, we couldn’t do that…
1:54 pm on August 19th, 2008 25
It was not surprising that Obama (the antichrist) made another “devil” reference during his comments at the Saddleback forum. He seems to refer to the devil or satan quite frequently. Only a few weeks ago, he referred to himself as ‘the devil we don’t know’ during an interview with Brian Williams on NBC. Just a common phraseology… maybe, or maybe more insidious than that.
*
And for the Nostradamus fans, one of the antichrist Obama’s top advisers is named MABUS.
*
“Mabus to advise Obama on Middle East issues

Former Mississippi Gov. Ray Mabus, who served as U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia during the Clinton administration, is joining Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign as an unpaid adviser on Middle Eastern issues…” — from the barackobama-dot-com web site.
