… Chinese Government’s (Wal-Mart’s number one customer) Predictable Response To IOC: Gut-Splitting Laughter. Meanwhile, down in Georgia…
A quote from Norweigian IOC official, Gerhard Heiberg, courtesy of Breitbart:
… “The police and military … need to act differently. They have stony faces. They’re seriously scaring the foreigners in Beijing. Something has to be done,” …
(Snip!)
… “The fact that they’re armed and look sinister, just makes things worse,”…
Hey, what else would you expect from Wally-World’s number one best customer; a rotten, stinking, smoggy, communist nation? What in the world is there to smile about if you are a Chinese citizen PRISONER no matter what your job title is? It’s a creepy place run by a creepy government, financed by a creepy Bentonville, Arkansas based corporation and American customers seeking a “bargain” above all else despite the very expensive price to pay on the “backend”. Of course, the police and the military are employees of the commie government and the public face of communism is a “grinless” face, indeed. How about — Duh! (as far as the official response to the IOC goes)?
Yes, friends — attendees of the Beijing Summer Olympics are staring directly at the ugly, rotten face of communism and it SHOULD give them the creeps — the concept is alive and well — and not only in the nation of China either. It seems to be on the march in the Russia-Georgia conflict as well (Source: The Washington Post’s Robert Kagan), it’s gathering steam, and the frightening part I don’t seem to be seeing anybody connecting the dots on at this time is the fact Vladimir Putin and the Chinese Commies seem to not only have a lot in common, they’d unite in a heartbeat against any Western efforts to put a stop to what could likely prove to be a precursor to World War III in the end.
And folks, that’s the creepiest thought of all. And to think the world’s latest genocide could be financed in part by the consumer concious wallets of Wal-Mart shoppers in the end just like those weapons the Chinese police and military are carrying in Beijing are. And to think — Wal-Mart shoppers might be directly responsible in the end for the advancement of the minute-hand of the doomsday clock.

Some of my “faves” today:
“… Whether or not this is just some ploy to try and force the Georgians to give up what are likely pretty well defended and dug in redoubts in the two breakaway regions that they’ve controlled for some time, or the start of something bigger, it is fair to say the war has entered a new phase. …”
Marc Ambinder of The Atlantic:
“… Isn’t this why we have an intelligence community? The National Reconaissance Office has the capacity to task its satellites to photograph the region; did they, in this case? The Baku-Ceyhan oil pipeline runs right through the region; isn’t that reason enough to keep close tabs on developments? Did U.S. policy-makiers not get any advance notice of Russian/Georgian troop movements? And who was in charge of the Saakashvili portfolio? Did the U.S. warn him against sending tanks into South Ossetia? If not, why not? …”
[Editor -- Great questions, Mr. Ambinder!]
“… on our side of the pond, both presidential candidates have called for an end to the hostilities, but John McCain has ceded any moral authority to even weigh in on the issue as long as his top foreign policy adviser with lobbying ties to the Georgian government, Randy Scheunemann, remains with his campaign. …”
And… Michelle Malkin:
“… So we’re not bound to do anything to help Georgia–except by our commitment to supporting freedom and opposing tyranny around the world. We’ve staked much of our identity as a nation on exactly that commitment, and as Georgian President Saakashvili notes, our reputation is under scrutiny… “
[Editor -- Great point, Michelle... except, how are we going to do this? Our troops are pretty busy fighting for "supporting freedom and opposing tyranny" in Iraq and Afghanistan right now, aren't they? Where do we get the troops to help Georgia from -- the former or the latter? Can't have it both ways, Ma'am...]

Reply to Mr. Ambinder: Hellooooo!? Maybe one reason our satellites haven’t picked up on the Russian/Georgian and/or Baku-Ceyhan oil pipeline region is because they are aimed at our very own United States of America! That means us, by the way *snicker* As a matter of fact, those satellites may be looking right now, at this very moment, my one finger salute to those who host this Olympic cycle..hee hee Maybe if we all asked the .government to point the 167 spy satellites on those who warrant watching, maybe, just maybe…or never mind!
