Democratic And Republican Politicians Unite Against 4th Amendment Civil Liberty And The Prosecution Of Felonious Criminals In The White House
As Glenn Greenwald of Salon points out, none of the above is “opinion” or “rhetoric” — it’s an absolute FACT that President “Surge” W. Bush, Dick “Shotgun” Cheney and their buddies have all but admitted their involvement in muliple, prosecutable felonies under FISA law. A quick snippet, courtesy of Glenn:

What we learned in December, 2005 that George Bush and the telecoms were doing — listening in on the private conversations of American citizens without warrants — is a felony under clear U.S. law, punishable by up to 5 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine for each offense. Anyone can go read the section of FISA — right here — that says that as clearly as can be:
A person is guilty of an offense if he intentionally — (1) engages in electronic surveillance under color of law except as authorized by statute; . . .
An offense described in this section is punishable by a fine of not more than $10,000 or imprisonment for not more than five years, or both.
Now that any question of doubt has been clearly removed from anybody with all or most of their brain cells intact, the next question is “Why?” Why are the President and Vice President free and on the loose, or in the very least, not being impeached for their “high crimes and misdemeanors”? If a Veep or a Prez can be impeached for misdemeanors, no doubt they MUST be impeached for their involvement in MULTIPLE felonies.
The answer is, “Houston, we have a problem” when the leadership would first have to be investigated by and prosecuted by the “feds”, including a few different “three-letter-agencies”; all of whom have participated in the scam. The other problem is this “telecom immunity” crappola the Democrats AND the Republicans as well as both of their front-runners for the presidency, Barry Obama and Señor McCain of Arizona Panama are protecting in a bi-partisan effort for whatever reason. Follow the money trail, my friends, and I guarantee you we’ll find some telecom money floating all around Washington right now; in Democratic AND Republican coffers alike.
This is a nation of laws and a nation of a contract between the “gub’mint” and The People and that contract is called the United States Constitution. This bastardation of our Fourth Amendment Civil Liberty against unlawful search and seizure is prohibited both under federal law and that “goddamned piece of paper” (as President Bush has called it) and without a legal, Constitutional Amendment, none of this crappola is even REMOTELY allowed. “Clearly prohibited” is another way to put it.
Should this pass, I would urge ALL Americans who have been victimized in this manner by the Bush Administration and their “sub executives” to band together in a class action lawsuit and push it all the way up to the Supreme Court where, hopefully, even the neocon majority will see this as an attack against their own “Separate But Equallness” if not an unlawful, unconstitutional “gub’mint” assault against Americans. Not holding my breath on that one but it could be our only hope at this point.
At this point, I would almost say this gives a better argument toward an Obama presidency than a McCain White House because the former would be more likely to appoint a “freedom-loving” justice to the SCOTUS by the time this “telecom immunity” CRIME were to hit their dockets, but, unfortunately, I don’t see much “liberalism” being represented anywhere in Washington today — not in ANY of the three branches — just “Nanny-State-ism” and “Police-State-ism”, unfortunately.
