Señor McCain Seems To Be Using Reverse Psychology To Emphasize His Military Service Over Barry O-Obomber’s Lack Of Same
That’s right, folks — Panama John McCain is HINTING Barack Obama is such a powerful man, he can put words into the mouths of such opinionated gentlemen as James Webb and Wesley Clark and pull their strings as if they are his marionettes. Whatever Barry THINKS, he can will others to say, and the proverbial “buck” stops right at his doorstep when guys like Wesley Clark (shot four times in combat in Vietnam) and James Webb (former Secretary of The Navy) step up to point out the FACT that one’s Honorable Service in the United States military does not “ENTITLE” them to a cushy seat in the coveted (for some strange reason) Oval Office.
As far as I know, only the KOOKS out there have said anything derogatory about Señor McCain’s military service and his horrifying experience as a POW during Vietnam. Silver Star and Bronze Star recipient and former four-time wounded in combat war hero, Wesley Clark, for example, could have put it a bit more “eloquently” in making his factual point that just because his fellow war hero happens to be, well — a fellow war hero, doesn’t entitle him to our votes for the presidency. On the other hand, if ANYBODY has the right to point this out, I’d say a salty old F*##$ who’s been on the wrong end of a hostile enemy’s gun a few times has earned the RIGHT to do so, wouldn’t you?
As a fellow military man who served in a hostile fire zone in “The Desert” who came back with about half of the hearing capability I left U.S. soil with, I’d say I completely agree with the man’s overall point. I don’t feel “special”, nor do I feel “ENTITLED” to your vote if, in a moment of insanity, I ever decided to run for public office (can we say “BZZZT!!!“?). In fact, I wouldn’t even bring it up; somebody else would have to do that and I’d not make any kind of a huge deal about it like Señor McCain and so many other politicians are prone to do these days. Anyhoo — that’s just MOI (and yes, again — I AM part French).
So, HEY — the latest “hey, let’s just tone down a bit on the military thing” guy to torque off the easily “torque-able” Panama John happens to be Senator James Webb, of Virginia — O-Bomber’s latest so-called, mindless, completely-controlled-by-the-all-powerful Barack “marionette” according to the Distinguido Caballero’s (that’s Panamanian for “Distinguished Gentleman”), Señor McCain…
From TPM Election Central:
McCain Campaign Accuses Obama Camp Of Coordinating With Webb To Attack McCain
By Greg SargentNow the McCain campaign is accusing the Obama campaign of coordinating with Jim Webb to “attack” McCain’s war service.
On MSNBC last night, Webb told McCain that he should “calm down” with the use of his military service in the campaign, adding that it was time to “get the politics out of the military.” …
And how did Panama John respond? About exactly in the manner (or lack of) one would probably expect the hot-headed Senator from Arizona:
If you didn’t think this was a coordinated attack on John McCain’s credentials before, it’s clear now that it is. Barack Obama’s surrogates are telling the McCain campaign to “calm down” about attacks on his military record? Seriously? Now somehow Wes Clark’s attacks are John McCain’s fault? It’s absurd. If Barack Obama can’t control his own surrogate operation, how can he be trusted to run the country?
Actually, and I point this out as a completely independent (small “I” proudly and on purpose) American voter, I have to point out the irony in the statement — it’s moi DUTY, in fact. If Señor McCain’s charges against Barry are, indeed, TRUE, and the man is responsible for putting such words in such powerful men’s mouths, then, he is, INDEED, in “control” of “his own surrogate operation“. If this is the case, and if Mr. Obama is capable of penetrating the brains and taking control of the oral motor skills of such brave, true and tested military men of honor as Mr.’s Clark and Webb, his is DEFINITELY a spectacular man indeed.
So sorry, Señor — I just don’t follow your logic today, Sir.

If this pisses you off Gunny then the piece I did on both John McCain’s and Barack Obama’s definition of Patriotism surely will! Feel free to borrow it and post it if you love it.
McCain is being run by the old Bush crew and this is all hyperventalating politics to distract folks from the real issues. It all wreaks of Karl Rove and we all know he is donating not just his cash to the McCain campaign.
McCain is counting on the shiney object over here while his campaign is promising something else over there in the special interest groups. More of W all over again!
Amen, GTL
As a veteran, all that I want is to get on with my life. Questioning my qualifications for a job is not denigrating my service. I’m not the only vet that I know of, who understands that in the real world, we can’t just whip out our DD 214′s and repeat the word ” veteran, veteran, veteran “! and expect a free pass in hiring. And if McCain really thought Clark was questioning his service in Vietnam, he would confront Clack face to face about it… but we know that won’t happen my friend.
p.s. The “O” man needs to grow some sack, and regular ron, where you at my man? they ” disappear ” you?
