Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton The First: Why can’t we just keep changing the rules until I am declared the winner?
By now, it’s old news that the Senator Puppet From New York feels she is getting the big ole’ shaft from DNC Chair Howard Dean over “MichiGate“, “FloriGate“, “DeliGate“, “SuperdeliGate” and now, with Scot McClellan running around, stealing Her Royal Limelite and the mainstream media’s attention with his new “tell-all memior” entitled “What Happened“, we can go ahead and add “ScottyGate” to the long list of “gates” being SHUT TIGHT in front of The Queen “wannabe” and Her Royal Quest for Her Rightful Throne. Wow, that was a mouthful, wasn’t it? Call me “The King Of Run-on Sentences if you wish…
So, HEY — Her Royal Highness just took Puerto Rico from Barack Obama (Source: CNN; H/T to MemeOrandum). Of COURSE, She claims this means She is the Royal choice of the American People; the “rules” need to be bent because there is no way in hell Barack Obama will be able to get enough votes from that all important demographich: the gap-toothed, forkless-family-treed, Southern, racist, blue-collar Democrats to win. Frankly, not only am I NOT pulling for Sir Hillary Rodham Clinton; I disagree the latter demographic is nearly as large as She has argued it is, but that’s just MOI (and again, for new readers — indeed, I AM part French).
It seems almost like yesterday when we had Joseph Lieberman and Al Gore running around America hollering “Can we PLEASE just count the votes?” (yes, Joe was once a liberal for those who weren’t around back then). While they had a point at the time, it did begin to get rather old after weeks and weeks of it. They (apparently?) won the popular vote but lost the Electoral College’s vote. I sympathized with them to some degree, but on the other hand, that’s the way our Democratic Republic was set up to function. And it’s a GOOD thing in the end. You just THINK Vice President Dick “Shotgun” Cheney is bad. How many of my fellow Liberals would agree this would be a better country with eight years of a Joseph Lieberman vice presidency? I think it would probably have been a toss-up in retrospect.
But then, The Queen even back then was quick to express her disdain for the Electoral College, arguing for the abolishment of the amazing creation of our Founding Fathers, which fully explains her consistency in preferring a “mob rules” style of government to a representative form of government where one actually has to win the hearts and minds of and cater to The People of ALL FIFTY STATES versus the ten largest metropolitan areas. Another run-on sentence (sorry) but you get my point — Hillary is being consistent overall by wanting to change the rules of the DNC post-fact, which seems to be somewhat based upon the brilliant, critical thinking of our Founders. You can’t say she’s a hypocrite. A “liar”, a “fool”, a “jerk”, a “power-hungry moron”, a “Whitewater crook”, INDEED. “Hypocrite”? Hardly.
A “snip” or two from the earlier-referenced CNN article:
Clinton claims victory in Puerto Rico
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (CNN) — Sen. Hillary Clinton claimed victory in Puerto Rico on Sunday and insisted that she is leading Sen. Barack Obama in the popular vote.
Her win gives her the larger share of Puerto Rico’s 55 delegates.
The Democratic primary season ends Tuesday when Montana and South Dakota cast their votes.
“When the voting concludes on Tuesday, neither Sen. Obama nor I will have the number of delegates to be the nominee,” she said in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
“I will lead the popular vote; he will maintain a slight lead in the delegate count,” she said.
Obama leads in the overall delegate count — 2,070 to Clinton’s 1,915.
A candidate needs 2,118 to claim the Democratic nomination.
The Clinton campaign has been focusing on the popular vote as it tries to convince superdelegates to pick her instead of Obama. The superdelegates are a group of about 800 party leaders and officials who vote at the convention for the candidate of their choice. …“
I’ve said it again and again. While Her Royal Highness is running around, delusional and in denial, John McCain gets his pass from all the dirt She and Barack Obama ought to be working together to dig up on ole’ Panama John. He’s not facing any questions, charges, or pontificating in detail on any issues, nor is Her Royal Highness or the Democratic Party’s TRUE presidential nominee. If this is good for America, we’re SCREWED, blue and TATTOOED.
Hillary — go AWAY… PLEASE.

This is more to address a pet peeve than to address the subject of the DNC disenfranchising the voters in two states. After all, who cares what the people think, the rules are the rules.
You maybe want to dial back on the souther = racist retoric some? Remember the Draft riots in NY in ‘63? Remember all the free states that had laws on the books that blacks couldn’t stay in state for more than a certain period of time, and if they did they were subject to fines, flogging, and being kicked out (the two that come to mind right now are IL & MA, but there were some others)? And how about that underground railroad? A good portion of it went through the South. It was Southern Abolitionists who ran a lot of the stations. And why, oh why, was the northern terminus of the UGRR in Canada? Because those oh so tolerant free states didn’t want blacks to settle in them. (joe now steps down off his historical soap box.)
Oh, and you don’t have to be racist to not like Barry – you just have to read what he has written.
