Barack Looking Forward To Seeing Trinity United Divided Church In Rearview Mirror
Most of us have heard of the “Six Degrees Of Separation“. If you aren’t familiar with the term; click on the link — a new window will open so you can easily click the “X” on upper-right side of your new browser window, then come on back so you can continue reading my riveting, impressive, always-brilliant commentary based upon this breaking news from The Baltimore Sun. Back now? Good. Thanks for reading. Now, please take a moment or two to click on my sponsors and we’re in “biz”…
The point is, I know somebody who knows somebody who knows Barack Obama personally. I realize this is a “real reliable source” to many, while one or two readers might express a slight bit of doubt, and hey — that’s okay, too. It’s my blog and I’m going to maintain it as “fact” that Barack Obama does not REALLY agree with “Reverend” Jeremiah Wright’s “God DAMN America!” sentiments; never has.
Furthermore; Barack Obama doesn’t feel as if Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton is the racist SWINE both myself and apparently, the LATEST “controversial so-called Man Of God“, Michael Pfleger do. But hey — that’s okay, too. On the other hand, that latest display by “Father” Pfleger was the last of the proverbial “straws” for Mr. Obama. He’s done. FINISHED. He’s had ENOUGH of the Trinity United Divided [so-called] “Church”. “Buh-BYE, IDIOTS”, he says. Wayyyy, too heavy of a cross to bear, he’s decided. And, that’s alright. He’s never claimed to be Jesus Christ in the first place, correct?
From the referenced Baltimore Sun article (“The Swamp” — MSM so-called “bloggers” John McCormick and Manya A. Brachear):
Obama leaving his church
Sen. Barack Obama is leaving Trinity United Church of Christ, his longtime religious home in Chicago and a place that has triggered repeated controversies during his presidential bid.
Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt confirmed Obama is essentially resigning from the church. No other details were immediately available, although Obama is expected to speak on the topic later this evening.
The latest controversy involving the South Side church erupted this past week when an Internet video emerged from an appearance there last weekend by the Rev. Michael Pfleger.
Pfleger, who has had numerous run-ins with Chicago’s Roman Catholic archdiocese for his political activism, mocked Sen. Hillary Clinton from the pulpit during a guest appearance at the church. The priest also suggested the former first lady is a white elitist who felt entitled to the Democratic nomination.
Obama has not attended the church since it first entered the national spotlight in mid-March, following the appearance of Internet videos featuring Obama’s longtime pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr.
Dwight Hopkins, a theology professor at the University of Chicago Divinity School, who joined Trinity 12 years ago, expressed shock and regret about the senator’s decision.
“I thought he would stay because of the good works of the church,” Hopkins said, noting Obama’s frequent affirmations about the Trinity community. “He had a baptism and marriage connection. I guess the Pfleger thing took it over the top. Maybe Sen. Obama thought the church should not have provided that platform.” …
Attention, Mr. Hopkins — James 2:20:
“But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?”
The GTL™ — Post #2480:
“Hey, donchya know, Sir DOOMAS, that works without FAITH is akin to searching around for the cosiest corner in your little barrel to take that urgent leak?”
There ‘ya go — both the “red-letter edition” AND the “secular progressive blue-letter edition” for your reading enjoyment…
Sure — Barack’s leaving Trinity United Divided for political reasons — no doubt about it. Some folks on the “Right” and also the Hillary-Left” have been trying to insinuate the controversial words of the so-called “Pastors” Wright and Pfleger emmanated directly from the mouth of Senator Obama. Pfleger — perhaps, but I highly doubt it. Wright? Are you crazy? The man has gone on the record to say he plans to challenge Barack Obama on multiple issues IF he gains the coveted seat behind the desk in the Oval Office, AND he’s obviously attempted to throw his ole’ “nephew” former buddy under the proverbial “bus” on multiple occasions.
If one were to exercize “critical thinking skills”, these FACTS ALONE would point directly toward some MAJOR theoretical differences between the two men in question. Add the THIRD fact — his mother was WHITE and she raised him, so, WOW — the guy hates “them white foke” anyway, some say. But, hey — sometimes it’s too hard to think. It’s easier to let the bloggers and the mainstream media do our thinking for us, isn’t it? That is, unless you are one of the hundreds of thousands of monthly readers of THIS “shining gem” in a sea of sewage. Just kidding (sort of) on that last statement, by the way…
The good news for the “Right” now is the fact that they can now pound on poor ole’ Barack for being a “Christian without a church”. Or better yet — yet another one of those “Sec-Lee-Ir Pregressives”. Either one will work for that CRITICAL twenty-eight percent of President Bush’s rabid fans amongst us, because, again — no “critical thinking skills” are needed for any of those folks. Either one of the above will serve as great talking points for them and their (in many cases) fork-lite family trees.

GTL…Right back at ya brotha!!
GTL…Thank you for the kind words. It’s my pleasure and honor to link to one of my favorite blogs.
Dude… you’ve earned the HONOR. It’s not often you find people who are blatantly, proudly, progressive (small “P” on purpose), INDEPENDENT thinkers and pontificators… I love ya, bro… agree to disagree every here and there… doesn’t matter. Independent thinkers are ALWAYS welcomed and encouraged to “O-PINE” here, brother…
GTL…I look at it this way. It’s no fun “standing in line”.
Like you said, you don’t find to many of us around. If it wasn’t for folks like us, our country and political discussions would be rather borning.
