Show Me Someone Who Claims They Don’t Have An “Uncle Jeremiah” Of Their Own And I’ll Show You A Liar
Look, do not get me wrong — I’m STILL an independent (small “I” on purpose) and “undecided” voter — I’m NOT campaigning yet for anybody, including Barack Obama. Hell, before this is all over, I might just choose to “throw my vote away” by voting for a third party candidate, but I reserve the right to point out hypocrisy when I see it; be it displayed by our politicians or even by my fellow American Citizens. This article is an attempt to go after “The Sheeple” who refuse to vote for Barack Obama for no other reason than his relationship with former Trinity United Pastor and newest member of the “Latest Black Archie Bunker Pastor Without A Church” crowd, formerly owned and dominated by the likes of Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton.
“He’s like an uncle to me”, said Barack. “I’ve known him for twenty years”, he revealed. Then ole’ “Uncle Jeremiah” explodes on the national scene, projecting himself to the masses and we all learn he, at the very least, is a divisive racist. Barack disowns him, which I MIGHT just have a personal problem with, by the way; and America doesn’t give a damn when Barack says “I don’t share Uncle Jeremiah’s controversial points of view” — my hypocritical fellow Americans SHEEPLE have already made up their minds that whatever Barack’s “former nutty uncle” thinks; that is exactly what “Barry O-Bomber” must think as well.
Face it — We’ve ALL got an “Uncle Jeremiah” in our lives, especially those of us in the South with family spread out all over the place. I’m talking about the nutty uncle, cousin, or other family member who frequently stops by to visit and makes the MOST OUTRAGEOUS statements while the rest of the family covers their mouths, turns their heads, or whatever they can do to refrain from busting out laughing in front of the guy or gal you’ve just got to love anyway. I’ve got a few of these folks in my extended family myself and I’d do anything for them — ANYTHING. And being a “family” type of guy, I go out of my way to see them as often as possible. Despite some of their outrageous points of view, they also have some good things to say every now and again, too. Sound familiar, America?
While I may disown some of their statements and points of view, I’m not going to disown the loved one making them. Furthermore; I’ve known these people for over twenty years as well. So, if I ever decide (hypothetically speaking, of course) to run for office, I guess it’s fair game to go and locate my kookiest family member, hand them a microphone, and associate their statements, world views, and even racist (in some cases) statements with MOI? I should sure as hell hope not. Or this is an “America” I can no longer identify with.
The shameful, revealing fact of the matter, brought to you today by USAToday’s Susan Page:
Poll: Flap over pastor hurts Obama
Barack Obama’s national standing has been significantly damaged by the controversy over his former pastor, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds, raising questions for some voters about the Illinois senator’s values, credibility and electability.
The erosion of support among Democrats and independents raises the stakes in Tuesday’s Indiana and North Carolina primaries, which represent a chance for Obama to reassert his claim to a Democratic nomination that seems nearly in his grasp. A defeat in Indiana and a close finish in North Carolina, where he’s favored, could fuel unease about his ability to win in November. Such results also could help propel Hillary Rodham Clinton’s uphill campaign all the way to the Democratic convention in August.
In the USA TODAY survey, taken Thursday through Saturday, Clinton leads Obama among Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents by 7 percentage points, the first time in three months she has been ahead. Two weeks ago, before the controversy over comments by Jeremiah Wright reignited, Obama led by 10 points. …”
Un-freaking-BELIEVABLE. Or, more truthfully — one hundred percent believable considering the source and considering the targets of the USAToday poll.
On the other hand, Barack deserves a bit of the blame himself. Whoever his so-called “advisers” are should have “advised” him to say “Yeah, he’s like an uncle to me; I’ve known him for twenty years; I love the man despite the fact the guy sounds like he’s from Mars half the time but he’s extremely entertaining — you’ve gotta love the wacky guy”. Had he done this, it would have been passed over long ago and the United States of America would be spared a new “Black Archie Bunker” who will most likely, for the rest of his life, have no trouble finding cameras and microphones everytime he needs to make a few bucks just like his “brethren” by the names of Sharpton and Jackson.
If you must insist upon using the “Uncle Jeremiah” thing to make your decision to vote against Barack Obama, at LEAST please use your brains and blame him for his lack of common sense in how he chose to deal with his association with this controversial man. Either that, or go ahead and be assured you have earned “hypocrite” label you yourselves deserve.
People just need to THINK. And STOP letting the mainstream media (“MSM”) do their thinking for them as well as choosing the candidates for the most powerful offices in the land…

I’m personally not voting for him because his grandmother is a racist afraid of panhandlers and he didn’t have the guts to disown her.

It should hearten you that my wife and I plan on voting for Sen. Obama in tomorrow’s primary. I would have put a yard sign and bumper stickers but the Obama office here in Mayberry was out of ‘em.
Chuck??? Yer kiddin’ me, right?
Wright is NOT Obama’s uncle! Comparing him to real (nutt) relatives is disengenuous at best. As bad as Obama saying, in effect ,that Wrights’s views and his mother’s views are comparable. You can’t choose your relatives, but you do choose your minister. It seems to me obama CHOSE Wright because it helped his political career in Chicago.
I would have a lot more respect for Obama if he had said right up front – “I chose this church and this guy as my minister, even though I don’t believe the same, because it jump started my political career. Those views are not mine.”
I was going to vote for third party also until I found out Obama seems like a rebel. I like rebels
William beat me to it. Having a wack-job relative is one thing. Having a racist pastor for 20 years is quite another, especially if that racist pastor uses his pulpit to preach not the Christian Gospel, but rather the politics of race hatred. I would have trouble believing that he never said things like this before Obama started running for president.
I do agree with Guns though. If Barry had said “Yeah, he is a bit of a nut and goes off the deep end from time to time, but in general he is a good guy, besides, I like the choir at that church.” It would have defused the whole thing.
But he didn’t. Rather he went on his rant extolling the politics of victimhood, and went so far as to claim that just about all of us are victims. The guy is nothing but one big sound bite.
I found an interesting bit the other day, I think the link still works:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080504/ap_on_el_pr/two_candidates_4
from that, it looks like Barry can’t, or doesn’t like, to think on his feet and somehow feels he is too good to be with the common folk. Not that I’m any big fan of Johnboy, either.
Come off it Sheeple!!! If BO didn’t disown Wright then the press would have dragged it out till her royal High and Mighty was handed the nomination as she and Bill thought that they rightfully deserve.
The media, especially TV, has been
and continuse to be biased to the
right, that is, McCain.
There is still no bad ink on Bush
in the mainstream, but they must
really be afraid of a Dem victory
in November-they are trying to
destroy any unity in the Dem party.

I tole you way back, I was an Obama boy. Besides, I could never vote for the mama of the anti-christ ( Sen. Clinton)
It doesn’t really matter, I plan on voting for Bob Barr come fall. Unless Sen.Obama comes up with a better gun policy
.
Bob Barr is a bit interesting… I must admit. He should consider buying ad space here
On the 2nd Amendment, I have a feeling the D.C. Gun Ban will be decided during the Obama-McCain race (Should that come to be) and I’d like to see what Obama says once his ideas concerning the 2A have been “challenged”. McCain is too predictable on this one; Barack’s the one I’m waiting to hear in response to the (I predict) 5-4 ruling against the D.C. Gun Ban.
We’ll see though, shant we, bro?
Oh yes! There’s an “Uncle Jeremiah” in my family too… or let’s just say a few of them. I was just telling my husband today that this election has been the hardest yet for me. I am really, really worried this time around. Obama’s pastor is the least of my worries. There are some days that I think McCain’s looking good. I need to do a lot more research. The media, I take with a grain of salt.
