Kentucky Congressman Geoff Davis (R) Calls Barack Obama A “Boy”

“Boy-Gate”

G.O.P. Representative On Obama: ‘That boy’s finger does not need to be on the button’

Uhmmm… and just what “button” would that be, Congressman Davis (R-KY)? Hold UP — this site is generally held to “Suitable For Work” standards, so please do not get TOO graphic in your response, Sir. Delving into your marital “challenges” would be inappropriate after all; particularly when you consider the fact this blog is often read by minors…

From The Politico’s Ben Smith:

‘That boy’s finger does not need to be on the button’

Republican Congressman Geoff Davis of Kentucky seems to have a racist streak in him when it comes to dealing with those boys...

U.S. Rep. Geoff Davis, a Hebron Republican, compared Obama and his message for change similar to a “snake oil salesman” [at a Northern Kentucky Lincoln Day dinner].

He said in his remarks at the GOP dinner that he also recently participated in a “highly classified, national security simulation” with Obama.

“I’m going to tell you something: That boy’s finger does not need to be on the button,” Davis said. “He could not make a decision in that simulation that related to a nuclear threat to this country.”

An aide to Davis, Jeremy Hughes, declined to comment on the remark, and didn’t dispute the accuracy of the quote. …”

Doesn’t sound good, does it? To be fair though, as we always ARE on this blog; the Congressman offered an apology soon after he began to feel the heat of his earlier statement:

Kentucky Republican Congressman Apologizes For Racist Remarks Against Barack Obama

“Hey, I’m really sorry if I offended the boy or anybody out there who admires that boy. I like the boy personally and I consider many other boys to be close personal [boy]friends of mine. As far as boys go, that Barack Obama boy is one of the good’ns out there… “

Well… that’s not EXACTLY what G.O.P. Representative Geoff Davis said in his “apology”, but it’s close enough for me. He seems a little “bitter”, does he not? Or, is it just MOI?

Darwin’s Theory is a beautiful thing, is it not?

    I note you reference another
    site called “Crooks and Liats”.
    Imagine my shock when I
    discovered it was about
    politicians !
    When will Boygate begin to
draw the ire of CNN like Obama’s
every third speech seems to do?

I love how the rightists scream
    about the “left wing media”,
when it’s hard to find anything
even a tiny bit off center to
    the left especially on TV.
    They are more concerned with
    their newscaster’s looks.
