Nation’s First Two Black (Co) Presidents Feeling Backlash From Supporters Of Nation’s Potential Third Black President

January 12th, 2008 · 2 Comments · Duh!, Elections, Media, National Politics, Politics, Presidency 2008

“Hill and Bill” Clinton; pioneers of American presidential politics after burning the “midnight oil” together for MONTHS to successfully emerge as our country’s first two “black people” to crack the racial barriers to the Oval Office in their stunning co-victory of 1992, are now being accused of not being “black enough” by Senator Barack Obama, who has, HIMSELF, also been accused of not being “black enough” by their fellow “political players” of African American descent.

In a surprising turn of events, and after a couple of “not quite black enough” remarks by our two “First Black (co) Presidents” from the Great State of Arkansas, it appears Barack Obama might just be “black enough” AFTER ALL, to earn the African American vote in the Great State of South Carolina…

From The Politico:

Racial tensions roil Democratic race

By: Ben Smith

Hillary and Bill Clinton are suddenly not black enough for Barack Obama...A series of comments from Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, her husband and her supporters are spurring a racial backlash and adding a divisive edge to the presidential primary as the candidates head south to heavily African-American South Carolina.

The comments, which ranged from the New York senator appearing to diminish the role of Martin Luther King Jr. in the civil rights movement — an aide later said she misspoke — to Bill Clinton dismissing Sen. Barack Obama’s image in the media as a “fairy tale” — generated outrage on black radio, black blogs and cable television. And now they’ve drawn the attention of prominent African-American politicians.

“A cross-section of voters are alarmed at the tenor of some of these statements,” said Obama spokeswoman Candice Tolliver, who said that Clinton would have to decide whether she owed anyone an apology. …”

Not that I’m a fan of Sir Hillary Rodham Clinton by ANY means, but isn’t it a bit pretentious of the Senator from Illinois to jump on the “he/she/it’s not black enough” bandwagon after being victimized by it himself for months?

Mr. Obama — PUHLEEZZZ — come ON. We’re ALL “black” here. Scientific evidence is STRONGLY suggests the genetic “Eve” was an African woman, after all. Just last week — YOU weren’t “black” enough. Today, you are suggesting the “First Black Co-Presidents Clinton” are “lilly white” and you are HINTING an apology just might be appreciated.

How about this scenario, Mr. Obama: FIRST, let’s hear Jessie Jackson’s and Al Sharpton’s apologies to YOU for not being “black enough”, followed by an apology FROM you to the Clintons for not being “black enough”? Fair is FAIR.

Fact IS, you ALL owe America an apology for clogging up the airwaves, the in-print MSM, and the Internet with your childish behavior.

What’s next — a frigging food fight? Get REAL.

Please, my fellow Americans; BRING IN THE ADULTS anytime you wish. Things are even MORE dismal on the other side of the aisle, as expected, of course
