Bill [Richardson] “Lopez” Drops Out Of Race

Should Bill Richardson-Lopez have played up the I am a Mexican thing a bit more -- the question as Hillary and Barack fight for first place...The New York Times is reporting New Mexico Governor, “Billy Lopez“, has decided to drop out of the Democratic race for the presidency. Sadly, this means the presidential candidate with the most respect for our 2nd Amendment civil liberty Right To Keep And Bear Arms and the highest NRA rating is O-U-T (OUT!) of the picture, leaving nothing but “gun grabbers” and/or “flip-floppers” on the gun control issues behind to pander for your votes.

While I’ve never climbed 100% onto the “Lopez” bandwagon, I think this race for the White House has just climbed that much further into the gutter as a result of his exit…

From the [now more than ever before with the addition of neocon extraordinaire, Bill Kristol to it's Op-Ed lineup -- "traitorous"] NYT:

Richardson Drops Out of Democratic Race

By LESLIE WAYNE

Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico is pulling out of the presidential race, after coming in fourth in both the New Hampshire primary and the Iowa caucuses.

Mr. Richardson made the decision after returning to New Mexico yesterday and meeting with his top advisers. He is expected to make an announcement Thursday, according to sources with knowledge of the governor’s decision.

Mr. Richardson’s withdrawal removes a candidate who had a hard-edged message of immediate troop withdrawal from Iraq, but tempered it with humorous television advertisements that emphasized his wide-ranging credentials in a clever and effective way. …”

Too bad in a way. The lack “experience level” we now have left in our remaining candidates has gone WAY DOWN as a result of Bill (“Billy Lopez”) Richardson’s choice to exit this race. Open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens? His biggest flaw, by FAR, and most likely the single largest reason I REFUSED to send him a red CENT.

On the other hand, when I look at what we’ve got left and I see Sir Hillary Rodham Clinton versus Sheriff John McCain, I see problems. HUGE problems.

Perhaps, it’s not such a “stretch” to imagine “Billy Lopez” running on an Independent or third party ticket in the near future, or even as a Veep running mate to one of the remaining front-runners? After all; THIS guy could easily fit in on EITHER side of the (remaining) aisle when it gets down to it…

Will Democrat Bill Richardson Drop Out Of Presidential Race?…

Actually, the headline should ask WHEN will Democratic Governor Bill Richardson drop out of the Presidential race? One news report says he will. Then another carries a denial by his campaign organization, noting that he’ll announce a decision Th…

it’s a shame that Americans won’t accept the fact the the race for president doesn’t necessarily have to come down to two dopes every 4 years. ask any ’serious’ person about a ‘non-top-tier’ candidate and they’ll say knowingly, ‘why vote for him? he doesn’t have a chance’.
funny, because it’s THAT attitude that is ruining our country.
Americans are incredibly uneducated (including myself), and our ‘2 party’ system is a scam/joke.

I am sad to see Bill dropped out of the race. I was a big fan of his. In my opinion, there is no other solid candidate choice for pro gun left leaning voters like myself.
